Maybe I’m missing something, but dragon and Daedric armor sets are much better. Low level dragons aren’t too hard, are easy to kill even for a level 20, aren’t hard to find and produce 1-3 dragon bones and 1-3 dragon scales. If you’re already at 99 smithing, why not just make a few more iron daggers or leather bracers, get the extra point, create the dragon armor, then improve it to legendary with a dragon scale for each piece? If you still like Ebony, go for the ebony mail of Boethiah.
This is not really an effective way to get yourself a set. You can find a shield in a pond which is stuck to a body underwater. You can get “Ebony Mail” from a Daedric quest and if you’re high enough you’ll even get the rest of the set from the guy you have to fight in order to get the “Ebony Mail”. Also, there is an orc mine to the east of Windhelm, there are tons of Ebony ores and veins over there, much more effective than this place in my oppinion. :>
@urbanxmayhem When you level up, you choose to increase Magicka, Stamina, or Health. After you do this, you obtain a perk. With this perk, you can put it into any skill. For example, if I go into the One-Handed Skill Set, I can put a perk into the first upgrade of this One-Handed Skill Tree. So, after you level up, or if you have available perks, go into the Smithing Skill Tree and find Ebony in this tree. Simply click on it and say yes when it asks you if you want to spend your perk.
i found the best and cheapest way to build up smithing is to make iron daggers… cheap and effective all the way up to 100 points in smihing… then just unlock dragon armor crafting and you cann make either light or heavy armor set… it just takes dragon scales and dragon bones plus some other minor items like iron ore, leather scraps and that sort of things 🙂 i dont know is there eny better looking or stronger armor in game but i cann say its better then ebony armor and loks awesome 😀
I personally do not like the ebony mail cause everytime u walk near a civil they get poisoned and want to kill U xD i hate that mail just for that but on battle field its a great mail, and what is worse u need to sacrifice someone for it xD if u want a clean gameplay & consciousness do not do any bad quests such as these 😀
Hey! Wait a minute Ebony is a type of wood?! So why would come as an ore and why would you forge it? And since it’s a type of wood how does it have a higher armorrating than steel?! But since there a dragons, elfs and orchs in this game, i don’t think realism was on top of the to do list…. But still!
Ebony looks better but Daedric performs better. But if you enchant items to improve your smithing rating and craft or buy potions to do the same you can reach the armour cap with near enough all the armours. The armour cap is 567, once your armour goes past that it no longer makes a difference. I’m unaware if weapon damage is capped.
if you finish all the companion quest you can use the skyforge and you can make any type of item you want for example im only a levle 19 smither i can only smith iorn or steel any where else but when i use the skyforge ebony, deadra, dragon bone/scale armor is open also if you finish the companions qeusts then you will be able to take this deadra heart from a table thats in he quarters nearby the master bedroom and it wont count as stealing at all.(THUMBS UP IF THIS HELPED)
