This is very interesting to note because in my western natal chart I have Libra Sun at 7° and Libra Mercury at 5° both of which are in my 4th house (close to the 5th) and then I have Libra Mars at 19° in my 5th house. I know a person vrisabha lagna thula rashi, he has debilitated Venus in 5th and Debilitated Jup in 9th house. he is currently enrolled in a PhD program from Univ of California Berkley. He is running Jupiter dasha. Which is aspected by Saturn from 7th house. I’m a Sagittarius Ascendent. I was born at 9.30 p.m night, My Sun is in the 6th house of Taurus, conjunct with Ketu. And my Saturn is in 3rd house Aquarius. Also I have debilitated mars. Yes, Everything is slowed down in my life. Nothing happens on time. Education, relationship marriage, and financial stability. I have a BSc degree in Engineering, working in the IT field. It was really difficult to in education. In School I was a slow student, I had to do A/L 3 times. I went to university with friends who are 2-3 years younger than me. I had to work so hard to complete my degree, In my job I had to work for 2 years for a very low wage, and when I got selected by a Higher paying company the recession hit. I bought a 10-year-old car by age of 28. Still, I couldn’t be financially stable or buy a house. My 6-year-long relationship ended. All these happened while all my friends of the same age completed their education on time graduating, finding jobs, and marrying and some of them are fathers now. Even my cousins who are younger than me have passed me in achievements in life. Some of them are married. I’m only 30 now. So yeah this is true. I’m not 35 yet. So I don’t know what will happen next. But for sure I know, no matter how hard I try everything comes really really slow in my life. There’s no escape. It is like a dead weight I’m carrying. People who are less educated, less skilled, or less financially able are achieving things way faster than me. It was so obvious to me very early in my life.

Well, you have the ages a bit strange. Saturn cycle in connection to the natal sun, has to do with the process of maturity. Very few people are successful as early as under thirty. When success comes late, we are talking about when a person is her fifties, sixties, seventhies… You have a different viewpoint to the cycle of maturity and ´success`. Success that pop strars, sports people and other such people, is something else. Also, how one defines success, varies.

I have sun in libra as Leo ascendant.. The worst possible scenario since that’s debilitated sun in upacha house. Not to mention there’s an aspect from Saturn in 6th house.. and it’s conjunct Mercury who’s combust, retrograde! I have sun in Libra 9th house with Venus, Saturn & Mercury, I’m already 30, Struggling with education, carrier, not married, all my class & campus friends have achieved some success than me. Although astrology is a great tool to use to gain knowledge. Logically I don’t think it has to do with anybody success in life. I somehow can not second you on some points. I’ve sun in leo in the 1st house. I’d to struggle a lot to achieve what I wanted and more over things were/are delayed at every level. I am 32 and not married yet. (I’ve saturn in 2nd house). and My father helped me only financially which is the usual case for any child in india.
This is SO confusing! I thought Leo ruled the Sun and therefore that is where the sun is at it’s strongest, not in Aries. And when you refer to the sun and aspects, it’s unclear as you go on to talk about other things – but, is an unaspected sun a sign of lack of success (ever!)? I have Sun in Aries (unaspected) 3rd house, I’m nearly 48 and definitely have NO success – but I know plenty of Librans who do, including those in the degrees you mention. Generally though, this whole article is just not clear.
I have debilitated sun in Libra but I had many opportunities to get my dream career however my mars in 6th house is always stopping me and puts me in obstacles and distract me! I call my case luck even though my sun was low on degrees but I was given many opportunities however so indecisive to make any right decision
I’ve got Sun in Aries in my 11th house and Saturn in Capricorn in my 8th house and I will be 27 in a few months and am barely going back to school. I have not had much success in my life despite having an exalted Sun AND sun auspiciously placed in the 11th house and Saturn in it’s mooltrikona. My venus is exalted in Pisces at the highest degree in Revati in my 10th house so you’d further assume I’d for sure have success in career early on but nope.
I had success but it was minuscule but yes i married late and then was only married a year. I had a child at 15 which is due to the low self esteem from the debilitated sun. Mine is debilitated in the 11th. I live alone and all my family has died off but i do have a lot of friends but not tight bonds
i must say, i’m a bit confused. I have MC in Leo at 23 degree, followed by Venus and Sun at 27deg., then Mercury and Mars at 29th degree. So I have 4 personal planets in the 10th house and I’m struggling with my career. I’ve always worked in the wrong direction (I might say). this is so weird, I’ve always(like from my early teens)said that i will be a millionaire by 35, and i got mocked for it quite a bit, but it’s one of those things i just know, and here is the thing, i really don’t care about money(or success for that matter)so it’s not that i’m making it my goal, i’m 28 now and finishing up my first Saturn cycle and weirdly enough many of my problems are just melting away, freeing up space for new endeavors. who knows,i might be finally getting this ‘life’ thing

It may have something to do with your chart ruler progressing through signs. Mine is Venus because of my Libra Ascendant. BTW, I’m an Aries. My Venus in Aries progressed into Taurus in 1994 and my life slowed down to a crawl and nearly stopped when Venus was halfway progressed through Taurus around 2006/2007. In August of this year, my Venus progressed into Gemini and things seem to be changing again to a faster pace. Also my entire chart is dominated by Saturn since it’s the most elevated planet.
Hi KR, what about SUN in Makar Lagna in 10th house of libra but with 28 degree. what does it mean. It is surely debiltaed but .. Ok, but if the sun is exalted in Aries, how come Aries are the least successful ppl on earth? Least billionaires, least famous, least presidents. The most billionaires are Libra and Pisces haha and the most CEOs are Libra, and most famous are Leo in general. Rarely see a famous or successful Aries. I feel like their ego and child-like mind stops them from advancing the way others do. but that’s my opinion.
Damn i have sun conjunct mars in taurus 10th house, saturn conjunct pluto in Libra. Now i know why the hell whatever i did, it just wouldn’t work.. Not to mention people considering you a real threat and block your every move! For a leo ascendant who hates stagnation this is just annoying beyond believe!
But I’m 38 and a big loser and I do not have the Sun debilitated in the ways you mentioned 🙁 Although, my Mars is debilitated I think, because it’s in Libra in the 12th… with Saturn on top of it. Maybe a debilitated Mars is worse for me since I’m a Scorpio rising. Anyway, my Sun is in the 8th, in Gemini. I really wonder what has gone so wrong in my life, it just did not take off.
Kapiel, i have aries asc with exalted mars in 1oth house but sun (lord-5) is in 11 while saturn (lord11) is in 5 with rahu. So sun-saturn mutual aspect yes BUT also aspecting their own signs, so does that still technically means a bad thing in terms of delayed success? Hope you can answer my query buddy.
