  • This movie was released two months before I was born. And I grew up perusal it with my mother. So when I found out it was based off a book I knew I had to read it. I’m almost finished with the book now and I can’t comprehend how the filmmakers butchered the movie so bad. I’ll always have a healthy respect for the movie because it’s a part of my childhood but I don’t understand why Hollywood has to destroy an authors story and hard work.

  • I just hope for the new movie that they have the same house! I know it wasn’t a real house but they rebuild the set again to look like it and they don’t make it too modern. Also the same type of aesthetic. A lot of new movies try to modernise it too much, the reason we like these films is for the nostalgia.

  • They slipped in the Hecate worship in the movie when they brought the deadguy back to life! Blood sacrifice had to be made for the Owens love curse to be broken even tho it was manslaughter! Epstein vibes gping on with the two girls talked about they danced unclothed at the witch convention and the scene of the boy eating the popcicle;

  • This trailer is pretty deceitful. It’s makes this look more like a Rom-Com than it actually is. It’s darker than it looks. The stronger story is the bond between sisters than it is the love story happening. Plus it leaves out all that abuse Gillian goes through. It’s still a good movie but this trailer leaves out the real story. What I always loved about this movie is the setting and the Stevie Nicks songs that came with the movie.

  • 9. When you enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire,a practices divination or conjury, interprets omens, practices sorcery, 11. casts spells, consults a medium or spiritist, or inquires of the dead. 12. For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD. And because of these detestable things, the LORD your God is driving out the nations before you. Deuteronomy 18:9-12

  • The premise of this movie is pretty accurate. Witches run in families (Both beauty and psychopathy), witches are beautiful, and “feelings of true love” are pretty common with men who are lovestruck by them. Sandra Bullock’s chuckle to the comment “All relationships have problems” seemed pretty realistic, too. Yeah, I can imagine the problems that happen when they witch attack their lovestruck bae. The “witch attack” is essential to their dirty work, but I’ve not seen a single movie that accurately depicts it. Or the situations where/when it commonly occurs, and why it happens. But I know, because I’ve experienced it myself, both on the receiving end and the emotions behind the giving end. All my girlfriends are still alive.

  • I swear this movie is me…I’m both Sandra and Nicole 😔 I’m lost and want love but I think I’m curse with love because everytime I really fall fora guy bad thing’s happens and we have to part ways sadly and then I pick the wrong guy that’s just really bad for and to me. I hope/wish one day I can get that guy I wrote about many years ago 😮‍💨😔

  • One of my absolute favourite films ever but JEEZ the tone of this trailer is so not what the movie is even remotely about. Whoever edited this should’ve been fired bcos they’re promoting a separate film altogether. And really? That’s the song y’all went with? I was expecting a Sarah MacLachlan or Paula Cole vibe at the very least.

  • Sandra Bullock – that’s my ideal older girl trying to put me off with that dress in THE LOST CITY but it won’t work. Now this movie is very interesting on men cursed that fall in love with this family of women. It is actually my situation that all women are cursed by the employment office / marriage laws / world trade centre if they were to fall in love with me – yet to meet a woman happy to go up against the government, especially their record labels
