How Does Clairvoyance Function And What Is It?

Clairvoyance, also known as second sight or clear seeing, is a psychic ability that allows individuals to perceive events or information beyond the natural range of the senses. It operates beyond conventional understanding and delves into the realms of psychic phenomena, accessing information from the subconscious. Clairvoyance grants visions of the past, present, and future, and with practice comes mastery.

Clairvoyance is a profound way of opening up one’s senses to perceive the spiritual world and the world around us with more depth. With practice, one can become a clairvoyant, which involves seeing spirit and energy, feeling spirit and energy, and being clairaudient.

True clairvoyance does not require crystal balls and elaborate fortune-telling rituals, as the brain can mix up the order of some events, which does not begin to explain paranormal phenomena. There is a large body of evidence on clairvoyance, and if you are clairvoyant, you know about things that you did not actually see happen or hear about.

Precognition, like telepathy and clairvoyance, operates without recourse to the normal senses and thus is considered a form of extrasensory. A psychic reading is a specific attempt to discern information through the use of heightened perceptive abilities.

Is clairvoyance common?

US adults have a low belief in psychics and mediums, with only one in five having ever consulted a psychic or medium. However, many have had otherworldly experiences, with women being more likely to have psychic occurrences. Only 24 believe there are individuals with the ability to see the future, and 38 report feeling the presence of a spirit. Women are more likely to have sensed a ghostly entity than men. Belief in mediums is also low at 21. Americans are less likely to buy into more niche elements of divination, such as palm reading and tarot card readings.

Nearly half of US adults believe most people who advertise as psychics or mediums are fakes. Individuals over the age of 55 are more skeptical about the authenticity of those who claim to have special powers, with the majority of those aged 55 and older believing self-proclaimed psychics and mediums are largely frauds.

What does clairsentience mean?

What does clairsentience mean?

Clairsentience, derived from the French words “clair” and “sentience”, means “clear feeling”. It involves a person’s ability to tap into others’ emotional energy and receive a clear psychic message. This is more complex than just recognizing when someone is upset, which can be discerned through body language, tone of voice, and overall physical energy. Clairsentient individuals can sense emotion even when it isn’t expressed, and construct a clear understanding of a person or situation without these cues.

For example, a clairsentient person might feel a sense of familiarity and become overwhelmed with emotion when hugging, shaking, or being in the same room with someone, even if they’re meeting them for the first time. This intuitive intuition allows the clairsentient to perceive what someone is going through privately, though they would otherwise have no knowledge of their circumstances.

Being clairsentient means understanding the spiritual and intuitive messages behind feelings, rather than just seeing them as coincidental or abstract. For example, if you’re a natural at understanding and empathizing with others’ emotions, even when they don’t express them explicitly, or if you tend to feel overwhelmed in large crowds, these could be signs of clairsentience.

How do I tap into my psychic abilities?

The College of Psychic Studies offers a series of tips to help individuals develop their psychic abilities. These include regular meditation, working with a mentor or teacher, keeping a dream journal, trusting instincts, using divination tools, connecting with nature, being open to new experiences, and setting intentions.

Intuition is an inner voice that often speaks to us, but it can often be drowned out by the noise and social conditioning of the external world. Meditation is an effective way to quiet the mind and increase spiritual awareness, making it an essential psychic development tool.

Working with a mentor or teacher is crucial when seeking to activate or strengthen your sixth sense. A wise guide on the path of psychic awakening is essential, as they have experienced the same path and are aware of the pitfalls. They can provide valuable resources for learning new techniques and receiving feedback on your progress.

In summary, developing your psychic abilities can be a rewarding and exciting journey, with a strong sixth sense providing a wealth of guidance and information.

What is the science behind clairvoyance?

What is the science behind clairvoyance?

Clairvoyance is often attributed to confirmation bias, expectancy bias, fraud, hallucination, self-delusion, sensory leakage, subjective validation, wishful thinking, or failures to appreciate the base rate of chance occurrences, rather than as a paranormal power. Parapsychology is considered a pseudoscience by the scientific community, with the US National Research Council finding no scientific justification for the existence of parapsychological phenomena over 130 years.

Skeptics argue that if clairvoyance were a reality, it would have become abundantly clear and that those who believe in paranormal phenomena do so for psychological reasons. The search for a valid and reliable test of clairvoyance has led to thousands of experiments, with one controlled procedure resulting in a 32% accurate response rate, surpassing the chance rate of 25%. However, follow-up studies have either failed to replicate the phenomenon or produced mixed results.

What are the different types of clairvoyance?

Clairvoyance is a paranormal ability to see distant people and events, divided into three classes: precognition, retrocognition, and remote viewing. It has been claimed in various cultures throughout history, with stories of individuals seeing distant objects common in pagan religions. Clairvoyance is often used in prophecy, particularly when future events are predicted. This ability has been attributed to a higher power rather than the person performing it, and has been a part of various religions, particularly in pagan oracles.

How does magic trick our brains?

Misdirection is a powerful psychological technique used by magicians to create illusions by diverting attention from their secret moves. This technique involves perception and cognition, leading to a false sense of reality. It can be achieved through subtle gestures or directing the audience’s gaze in a specific direction. Misdirection is not about lying; it’s about creating confusion where anything is possible.

One of the most effective misdirection techniques is the use of a decoy, where magicians introduce an object or action that seems relevant to the trick but is meant to distract the audience from the real move. This can be as simple as asking a question or making a comment that appears to be of no consequence but is actually designed to take attention away from the actual trick.

  • I think my main ability is Clairvoyance. I love beauty, art, fashion, design, movies. I also think I have visions all the time, I’m just so used to it. I also dream a lot, every night, including naps. Several of these visions and dreams have felt important, some things I’ve seen have come to pass, and others I’m waiting on. Thank you for this information!

  • Finally someone that can describe, my psychic profile with somme explanations. I know that I’m a clairvoyant with no doubt. However, my visions aren’t movies; I’m into very vivid vision. Often I can interact with whatever is going on. All my senses are available plus claircognizance, and clairsentience. I feel the space from embiant sound through all my body. Can also be more than one place at the same time. I also feel presence, but very rarely see dead people. Must say that I’m quite certain that I’m in a trance because I completely disconnect fom from material awareness. Psychometry also works; I can read remanance I think that anything would work! I’m also an empath, and I stay home most of the time. I don’t see others’ aura. Following vison, or flash, I’ll experience amazing synchronicities for days, weeks, months, even years. I’m still wondering if I’m a medium. I’d like to hear your comment. Thank you, Natalie.

  • I used to be but I saw a lot of terrible manifestations, I was a child and didn’t understand, I was told it was demonic. Eventually after 15 years old, it finally left, but I find I’m opening up to it again and the crown and third eye are connected (under guidance of a guru) and I was told today I am clairvoyant by her and I was left a bit confused as to what that really entails besides what I have already exxperienced

  • Thank you so much for making this!! 💜 And for going into so much detail about how clairvoyance works for you personally. I have been so overwhelmed (yet excited) with all of these weird psychic things that I’m experiencing but i literally dont have any body to talk to about them. I have yet to find a article or article that goes deeper than “they get visions”. So this validated a lot for me 🥰 I was getting visions only with my eyes closed in deep meditation, but then I got one a few weeks ago just seconds after I closed my eyes to meditate on a plane. It was like i was standing behind the pilots in the cockpit and i could see one point out the window and look back at the other one. Then i opened my eyes. Then a short while later the plane slowed very suddenly and i saw a UFO 🛸 ZOOM past our plane 😳. Nobody else even noticed. I am fully aware of how insane i sound! Lol. but whatevs. So very recently since then, I’ve been seeing weird things when my eyes are open. Just one example would be looking at a picture of a dark night sky (or perhaps the 10 of swords tarot card 🫣😬) and seeing obvious shooting stars moving across it. I looked away and back and it was still there. Then it turned into a few different visions. One involved Quan Yin and I actually think the other was a short clip of one of my past lives.. A women did a very detailed akashic reading on me a couple weeks ago and this vision was like it was correcting the ending to one of the visions she told me about in the reading.

  • I’ve had about 10 readings with various mediums and my Facebook is completely private. I find that unless they have chance to read your Facebook first then it’s always I have a gentleman here who died due to heart or chest problems, might have had difficulty breathing towards the end, or a lady who died of cancer. They bring a baby with them, did you or someone around you have a miscarriage? There’s a birthday or anniversary coming up or just gone. There’s a ring / necklace of your mams, a watch of your dad’s/ partners. You’ve kept some clothes of theirs. You’re getting memorial bears/jewellery or tattoos done. Moving houses, new car, disagreements in the family 😔 You’ve been thinking about going on holiday, you should go. Where’s the link to uniform? You put letters or a rose in the coffin with them. You’ve been seeing signs like feathers and robins etc. All so incredibly common, generic and vague. It feels like they just read off a script tbh.

  • Ok this is really strange for me, I’m very new to all of this. But I see random colours or shapes around people. I mostly see them out of the corner of my eye, when I look they’re gone. But they’re back in the corner of my eye. My eyesight is healthy. I’m in good health. Not sure what to make of it all.

  • Seeing things or Sensing things bad things before they happen. Is that a clairvoyant? What if someone sees a event happening like a individuals funeral yet that individual is still living. Trying to Warn the individual and they don’t believe you Then months later this same vision comes to mind yet you are at this individual’s funeral now.
