The Mystic Forge is a tool used in Guild Wars 2 to craft legendary weapons, upgrade materials, and gamble for rare items. It can be used to merge items and create new ones, and can be used to transmute lower level crafting materials into higher tier ones, such as Mystic Salvage Kits and Fine Crafting Materials.
The stone can be used in place of one piece of equipment for the forge’s conversion recipes, taking the place of a fourth item of equal rarity. There are only two good uses for stones: making Mystic Salvage Kits or using them when forging random exotic weapons together. They only come from achievement chests, login rewards, or buying them from the Gem Store.
To burn rare/exotic items faster, combine three rare/exotic items in the forge with a stone. The stone can be used in place of a piece of equipment for the forge’s conversion recipes, and three items must be equipment of equal rarity. Users share their opinions and experiences on how to use 500 Mystic Forge Stones, a currency for exotic weapons and armor in Guild Wars 2, and how to merge items and create new ones.

How to use mystic forge stone?
A stone can be used in the Mystic Forge to replace one piece of equipment in conversion recipes. Three items must be equipment of equal rarity, such as armor, trinkets, or weapons. The chance to upgrade is the same as with normal like-item rarity conversion. The stone can be used to create a unique item for the forge. For example, three Level 75 exotic axes and one stone can result in four random Level 75 or higher weapons, or two Level 75 rare axes and one Level 75 rare greatsword, resulting in a Level 75 or higher weapon of either rare or exotic quality.
How do you add smithing stones to weapons?
The first smithing table is located at the Church of Elleh and allows players to “strengthen armament” by upgrading weapons and shields up to +3. To upgrade past +3, players must visit the blacksmith, Smithing Master Hewg, at the Roundtable Hold. The process involves using the required type and number of Smithing Stones to upgrade the weapon up to +10 or +25, depending on the weapon type.
There are two weapon types: Normal and Special. Normal weapons require regular Smithing Stones, while Special weapons require Somber Stones. Normal weapons can be upgraded to +25, while Special weapons cap out at +10. Special weapons are typically rewarded for defeating bosses or uncovering secrets. Upgrading a weapon not only increases its base damage output but also improves scaling, as weapons scale with certain stats.

its wonderfull to have to use hours on research not to wasted incredibly rarer and “hard to get” items like these 😛 my biggest issue with GW2 is how badly you can fck yourself by not using time on researching EVERY item you get that you dont know everything about, as some of them are extremely importent, impossible to get again, or just absurdly rare, and there is no way in the game to figure this out ;P
Thanks for something else I didn’t know! (; I sort of ignore the MF for the most part, so I don’t know some of the purposes. But a stack of 250 (vs 25) salvaging kits will be handy and less annoying while restocking!… & cheaper 🙂 Also, if you don’t mind me asking, where are you from? I can’t decide whether or not your accent is British o:
