I just came from the salon and was about to splurge on some hair products when I remember that pink bottle you always talked about and then this article popped up. I am literally putting all of your recommendations plus the Tree Hut shaving oil 😂 into my Target cart. Love, love your website. Thank you!
I have always used salon shampoo, all my adult life….Matrix Biolage, Paul Mitchell, Redkin etc. I kept telling myself I need to start looking for ways around the house, and my lifestyle, to saving some money. A couple weeks ago I was in Walmart and this Loreal shampoo caught my attention. I decided to buy it. Well, let me tell you, this shampoo n conditioner works just as well as salon shampoo! I’m not kidding ya. They are Loreal Elvive in the big, bright neon orange, pump bottles, with a dark orange pump on the top. They are the Dream Lengths line, Restorative shampoo, and detangle conditioner. Oh my gawd, I wash shocked at how well these worked, how incredibly soft, and manageable my long hair was after I used it. I won’t be going back to expensive salon products anymore. Loreal nailed it with this new line
I really like the John Frieda secret weapon touch-up cream. Whether I wear my hair naturally wavy, curl it or straighten it, I just rub a small amount between my hands and lightly run it over my hair to calm any frizz and control it a bit. Less of a chance of user error than an oil which you can easily use too much. It also has avocado oil in it. My daughter has really coarse and curly hair and she also uses it
I’m sorry that you and the kids were sick and by yourselves. I remember that feeling. Glad that you are on the mend. Eva NYC has some of the best hair products and they smell amazing. I use the 10 in 1 Primer and I have baby fine hair. I must try the Kristen Ess Texture spray. Her products also smell incredible. A big yes to the Eva NYC dry shampoo. You are so right. There’s no need to spend big bucks on high end dry shampoo. Thanks, Taylor. Enjoy your weekend. ❤❤
I love this article. I literally stopped it midway to put on some hair oil because I tend to forget about adding that to my routine. About 5 years ago I learned that my thick wavy and frizzy hair actually was beautiful curly hair that just needed some TLC. I wear it curly now about 95% of the time. These are great suggestions. ❤
Those interested in the Kristin Ess products (at least a few of them) I’d suggest buying the travel sizes. I agree with Taylor on the clarifying product. It’s good but be prepared for your hair texture to feel like you don’t want to use it again, lol. As for the WTS? I’m glad I was able to find that one in a travel size because it didn’t give me any volume whatsoever. So far I’ve been able to find the shampoo, conditioner, the WTS and the hair spray in travel sizes. I have to switch between 2 brands because my hair gets use to them. I switch between Whole Blends and L’Oreal Elvive. Both do different things to my hair which is crazy. When I use WB’s it gives my now thinning hair so much volume. When I use L’Oreal’s it makes my hair sleek. Both of these brands do this to my hair without the use of any styling tool. I don’t know if you ever got the chance to try a brand called Ojon Taylor? They made thee BEST dry shampoo I’ve ever tried or read about. Before it was reformulated due to the owners selling the Co that stuff was like magic. It not only took the grease out it took any and all hair products out. Their main selling point/guarantee was if you put cooking oil in your hair it would take it out. I bought a can ($20) and put that claim to the test, lol. They weren’t lying and I was blown away!! I’m currently using Batiste. While it does remove the grease in my scalp and gives my hair a lot of volume unfortunately it doesn’t remove the other hair care products I use. This was a great article.
Yeah u aren’t the only YouTuber that raves about that Eva NYC 10 IN 1… I know Juicy jas loves it, Allie Glines loves it, I mean ALOT of the very popular ones always talk about how great it is……which with that many of y’all talking about it, makes me want to go buy it even more….just nor sure if it’s a clean hair product but I’m definitely bout to go check out the ingredients…❤❤❤
I bought the Kristen Ess clarifying shampoo based on your recommendation. I absolutely love it. It’s an amazing clarifying one & yes a good conditioner is a must cause it really takes out all the gunk & the hair feels dry. I use it once a month just a week before I color my hair. Thank u❤️😊🤗 I will try the spray too
I loved how the L’oreal Ever Pure made my hair look and feel. But I’ve never used a hair product with so much fragrance in my life. It gave me a headache all day and I couldn’t wait to get home and wash it out. I’m so disappointed because I haven’t been able to find anything that made my hair look and feel as nice.
Hey Taylor thanks for the great article, I live the Loreal Everpure shampoos as well, though I’ve never tried the bond strengthening one, I’ll have to check it out 😊 / The Eva NYC products all sound very promising as well, though not sure if I can buy them in Canada? Off topic, what eyeshadow products are you wearing in this article, the look is exquisite and sublime 💖
I actually love the way drugstore shampoos conditioners smell. I have an aesthetician license so I can get professional hair products and I started using dimethicone silicone and sulfates about five months ago and my hair has never felt better it dries it stays full and fluffy. where is the professional Was flat I will not go back to using anything other than these products dimethicone
I got the loreal shampoo after your recommendation and OMG its so good! For anyone looking to buy it, amazon has a great deal $13.98 for both shampoo and conditioner I wash my hair once a week, cause i dye it red and that bleeds like crazy! If i use loreal every week, when should i be adding in clarifying shampoo?
