In Path of Exile 3.22, players can use oils to anoint amulets or rings. Sister Cassia offers anoint service, allowing players to apply oils to blighted maps, rings, amulets, or blight unique items. Amulets are categorized as jewellery and provide various bonuses when equipped. In Path of Exile: Harvest, a new Indigo Oil has been added, allowing players to anoint amulets with any notable passives on the passive tree.
Using three oils anointing an amulet allows players to allocate a notable passive skill from the passive skill tree without spending a skill point or connecting to the rest of the allocated skill tree. For example, in Path of Exile: Constitution, players can talk to Cassia, put in an amulet or ring, and use the oils listed on the left to obtain the desired notable, including some special oils.
Anointments on equipment take up the enchantment slot, sharing a slot with legacy Labyrinth enchantments. Non-unique amulets can be acquired with two oils. To learn how to anoint with these oils, refer to the list of all possible anointments on the PoE Wiki.
In summary, players can use oils to anoint amulets and rings, and learn how to use them to obtain notable passive skills and unique items.
