How To Modify The Spells In The Wow Spell Bar?

In World of Warcraft (WoW), you can toggle between multiple spell bar configurations using native features or add-ons. To do this, uncheck the Lock Actionbar box in your actionbar settings and then click, hold, and drag the skill to remove it. Advanced Interface Options is an addon that allows you to change some of these removed or inaccessible options with checkboxes and a cvar.

Some users have reported issues with their action bars automatically casting spells when they click and drag, even with zero add-ons enabled. Addons like ElvUI can help prevent this issue. Bartender4 saves the action BAR position layout but does not save the position of each individual spell in those slots. To uncheck sticky actionbars, press escape -> interface -> action bars -> uncheck sticky actionbars.

To switch your action bar, hold shift while moving skills and then click and drag the skill to another slot. If you want to remove one, hold shift. Shift + the number of the bar you want is the default command for switching your action bar.

For your character, shift + 2 brings you over to your utility bar, such as heals and dispels. Press “Escape” to open the WoW menu, select “Interface” then “ActionBars”, and uncheck the option to lock the action bars.

Some users have reported issues with logout/login, emptying action bars instantly, adding spells, and returning to Prot, prot spells. To resolve these issues, try holding shift and clicking and holding to drag the button out of the bar.
