Weapon mystic arts are special passive abilities that provide a tactical edge in Nioh. To unlock them, players must achieve a minimum of 500k proficiency in a single weapon category and complete a dojo mission to beat a master. These skills unlock later in the game after clearing Veteran training missions or getting far enough to unlock them in the Dojo.
The mystic art dojo missions are the last ones you unlock after the first mission of Region 5. Once all weapon types are at 500,000 proficiency, return to Way of the Samurai and complete all dojo missions, unlocking the mystic arts for achievements. Marobashi will be available after the first mission of Region 5 “Ruin Draws Near”.
In Nioh 2, you must acquire mystic arts for 9 weapons and 2 special categories “Ninjutsu” and “Onmyo Magic”. Mystic Arts can be bought in the Skill Tree (Touchpad > Learn Skills) and can be unlocked through dojo missions. After applying a point to unlock the skill, you need 500,000 proficiency with each weapon type to unlock the mystic art for it. After obtaining half a million proficiency points, the dojo mission unlocks.
You can see your proficiency for each weapon type in the additional stats. Beat immortal flame to unlock the weapon dojos, and defile holy mountain to unlock the magic/ninjutsu mystic art dojos. Mystic Arts unlock later in the game, with the proficency required for the Mystic Art missions lowered to 120,000 for weapons and 200.000 for Ninjutsu and possibly Onmyo. The first mission in Region 6 unlocks the Onmyo last dojo mission, with probably 250k points in Onmyo.
