Dude thank you so much for making it so simple! I have one question. I’m trying to figure out how I can record my audio through my microphone as well as record the audio of what’s playing on my computer (ex: YouTube article) without the microphone also pick up what is playing on my computer. Is wearing headphones the only option, because I see so many youtubers who are able to react to articles with both the article they’re reacting to and their microphone being crystal clear, without hearing an echo of the Computer speaker through the microphone. If that makes sense, would really appreciate your help!
Thank you for your article, it was useful. Now I am making a recording of one acoustic musical instrument from two external mics and I have two XLR mics connected to the Audio Interface (Scarlett 2i2) which in turn connects to my computer via USB. Is there any way to see these two mics in OBS Studio Audio Mixer and to make OBS settings for them individually? Thank you in advance for answering.
Great job!, I have going through a small mixer and an rig stream. I am switching to try and learn OBS, do I need this mixer and the rig stream? I guess I am asking I need to go into to something first? you mentioned ” Focusright” is what you are using and then go into OBS. My current set up ends with my iPhone 12 Pro and that is the camera. So I end up going to the iPhone/camera from the rig stream. Basically I send everything from my guitar directly into my Yamaha crappy brand new mixer. The Vox also goes into that mixer then the Rig stream comes out of this mixer and into the iPhone/camera. I do not know what I need from my set up if I switch to OBS. I apologize as I think I may have this all backwards
I have tried to use my Tascam 102i interface with my PreSonus P-70 mic, and I can’t get it to work I can hear my voice through my headphones or through the speakers, but I cannot get the mic to work in OBS I even switched from desktop to laptop(s) I have 3 and nothing I’ve gone through this setting by setting and nothing. If I get a system sounds like an incoming message notification the meters in OBS work. Even when I plug the mic directly into my desktop nothing…zero.
