How To Use A Magic Eraser To Clean Shower Doors?

The Magic Eraser Foaming Bath is an effective method for cleaning shower glass doors. It activates tough micro-scrubbers, allowing it to dig deep and remove hard water stains and soap scum. To clean shower glass doors, wet the Magic Eraser with water to prevent scratching and gently squeeze it to activate its cleaning power.

To clean glass shower doors, mix 1/4 cup of dish soap, one cup of distilled water, 1/2 cup of distilled white vinegar, and a few drops of lavender essential oil into a solution. Wipe the door with a sheet of dry 0000 steel wool, going from top to bottom in a circular motion, to physically dislodge mineral build-up and soap scum. Wipe the Magic Eraser firmly across the glass shower doors with a firm, steady swipe to break through soap scum and hard water.

Wet the shower doors, wet the sponge, then scrub or spot clean. Leave a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in the shower (maybe on its own soap dish), allowing it to work its magic on the glass. A dryer sheet can also be used to get clean glass.

For continued maintenance, spray the glass doors after a shower and let it air dry. This method works well and can be repeated once a month for a monthly clean.

In summary, the Magic Eraser Foaming Bath is a simple and effective method for cleaning shower glass doors. By wetting the Magic Eraser with water and using a damp dryer sheet, you can easily remove mineral stains and dirt from your shower doors.

  • I just tried this to remove soap scum and hard water stains off my shower doors. It worked well, but I was not able to “scrub gently” like she did. I had to put some major elbow grease into it and had to repeat the process of squeegee + magic eraser on the missed spots (which were a lot after scrubbing gently) + squeegee again several times. It probably took me around an hour to finally get the doors perfectly clean, but it does look like brand new like no one has ever used it! I also used Windex afterwards and wiped with a microfiber cloth. It worked, but I am worn out. I am researching if Rain-X is a good option to use now that my shower doors are totally clean, to save myself from having to do this every month. We have had these new shower doors for about 6 months, and we have Squeegeed after every shower, but we did not always run the fan (going to do that from now on). Our area is known for hard water. The build up on our shower doors after 6 months, even with using a Squeegee, was starting to get pretty noticeable. The stains were the worst at the bottom and went about halfway up. I cant imagine how long it would have taken me and how hard it would have been if my shower doors had years of buildup or if it was from top to bottom.

  • I just need a brand new shower. Can’t stand glass doors. It should all be wide open and breathable. I hate my bathroom. I hate all my bathrooms. I have 4 and all suck. Mold, grime, ugghhh. I need some money, like $100k to really do my bathrooms justice. Time to go to sleep to get sleep so I can be stud tomorrow and dream of one day having bad ass bathrooms. A beautiful spa/ like shower bathroom. Omg 😢

  • I just tried this and it didn’t work for me 😢😭 We just bought a house with a stand up shower and it’s obvious that the previous owners didn’t clean it often. The soap scum is sooooo thick and yucky. We’ve managed to remove some but we can’t get it completely off and it’s driving me insane 😫 I feel like I’ve tried everything in the last week. I need help

  • Makes me not want to have a shower like that. My sister has one similar in one of the guest bedrooms in their new house, and she insists when I visit, to squeegee the shower glass when I’m done, but her husband is always in a hurry to go someplace and their water pressure is the lowest I’ve ever seen. Swear to God, takes me ten minutes to rinse the soap off my wash rag, takes me thirty minutes to shower and wash/condition and rinse my hair AND then I have to squeegee the shower, then get a towel and dry that and the last time I visited, the new rule was I had to squeegee and dry out the floor of the shower because it was found out that the bathrooms, in particular the ones in the front of the house were showing signs of mold. And my brother in law wants to know why it takes me over an hour to get ready to go anywhere. To me, it’s not fun. My sister and brother-in-law’s en-suite master bathroom has very little glass where the en-suite shower in the front bedroom is ALL glass so it takes longer, especially the way my sister and brother-in-law want it done. I was born with the housework hating gene and I KNOW it has to be done, but, I’m just not that ambitious, if I had to work, that means getting up earlier just to get the shower squeegees and dried off and knowing me, I’m just not that ambitious, and want that extra time to sleep before getting up, and if I had to do that when cleaning the bathroom, again, knowing me, it would take me all day to clean the bathroom or after cleaning the shower as shown, I’d say, ok, I’m done, the rest can wait.

  • I haven’t cleaned my tub or shower in years! And they look like new! How often do you clean soap scum from the inside of your dish washer? How about from inside your washing machine? Correct, never. The best way to clean soap scum is never get it in the first place. Chunk all your bath soap and only use liquid soap. The main ingredient in bar soap is Sodium tallowate. Sodium tallowate is a true soap made by combining the fatty tissue (or tallow) of animals, such as cattle and sheep, with lye, typically sodium hydroxide”. It’s pure white animal fat that holds the soap in a clump. It sticks to the tile or tub and water will not run over it. Sits there and the water evaporates and leaves mineral deposits on the fat. Repeat a few times and you have “soap scum”. Liquid soap or “detergent” holds oily skin residue in suspension and it washes everything away when you rinse. Just like your clothes or dish washer. Also an added benefit is that your drains will never clog up!!
