Due to the high hitpoints of Inferno Towers, it takes at least four Lightning Spells to destroy a single one. To restart its increasing damage each time its DPS gets high, you can drop a single Lightning Spell on the same. The number of lightning spells required to destroy an Inferno Tower can be calculated by dividing the Hitpoints of Inferno Tower (of a particular level) by the Damage by one lightning spell (of a particular level).
There are workarounds for dealing with Inferno Towers, but in the end, Freeze Spells are necessary to constantly deal with them. Troops under a Heal Spell can survive incoming damage from a multi-target Inferno Tower, but mid HP troops like Valkyries, Bowlers, Hogs, and Wizards would slowly lose their health against the tower.
It takes 2 maxed Lightning Spells and one maxed Earthquake Spell to take down an initial level Inferno Tower. Bringing a pair of this combination can take out both Inferno Towers against Town Hall 10s. You can get 2 zaps on each air defense and all 4 can hit the inferno tower.
To take down level 1 or 2 Inferno Towers, you will need 5 lightning spell level 7 and 1 eq. spell of level 5. Freeze Spells or Lightning Spells can be used to stop a single-target Inferno Tower from piling up massive damage to a high-health troop. If the Inferno Towers are near the edge of the village you are attacking, a hero push can be an effective method for destroying a multi-target Inferno Tower.
