This reminds me of the article I saw the other day of the “fastest gold per hour ever”, where the dude was like (literally): Ok use 40 gw2 accounts (full not f2p) and then wait 2 months logging in every day for the daily reward on each account. I wanted my commander tag which cost 300g, so I was selling everything I could, the rule was, not to sale anything higher than 99silver or a precious items like mystic coins, plus, I had to do it with a new character while leveling, it took me a week and a half, the kicker was, I could only play from 1 to 2hr max. So, from level 1 all the way to level 76, in one 1.5 week I got the needed gold. I could probably have this done faster with an engineer, but I love revenants, so, now I have two awesome kick 455 revenants !

I’ve been mad about this one article from the the british tea kettle guy ever since i saw it.. “4700 gold in 4 minutes, that’s 68k gold per hour” and completely ignoring the fact that it takes his 40 accounts ONE MONTH to be able to pull this off ONCE. 4700 gold in 4 minutes would be ~50 MILLION gold per month, when in reality, it’s 4700 gold per month, so more like 6.5g/h.
I made my gold by doing one thing. When gw2 first came out i exchanged my gold for gems, it was low at the time, i think 2 gems fir 1 gold. I stopped playing for a few years and had 100’s of gold exchanging gems to gold. Of course this was a long time ago 2012-2013 and coming back just before Path of Fire was released.
Any gambling box from any festival is not worth opening. However, if you have (after years of playing) maxed out you account magic find, then there’s barely any more use for Luck. Except for a few obscure recipes Luck is useless at that point. Which means those Envelopes are free gold from just playing as normal. Unless…. you will have to stope the stacks upon stacks of Luck somewhere, right? Then the cost of getting these envelopes equals the cost of storing the luck, which can be either a bank tab or inventory of a mule alt. Or 400-500 gems. Yup. None of the festival boxes are worth a damn.
Hello! Is there any way to “break” the gifts of magic or power that they give us in the wizard’s tower to recover the T6? I’m not interested in making legendary content but gold is good for me, I thought I saw somewhere that you could unite the gift of power and magic with the ectos etc and make the gift of luck, and you could “break” that one. and recover the t6 and those that could be sold, am I drunk or is there a way to do that? just a side note to all the comments that complain about the luck saving… you do realize that there is a hard cap on MF from luck right? after that you cannot use luck anymore and it just accumulates… this is meant to be a sink where you use all your accumulated luck that otherwise you either pile up for nothing or just delete…
The troll in my head thinks they made luck a reward in Cantha so we’d gunk up our inventories more just to do this once a year. In fact it was part of my “rage breaK” I took shortly after EoD launch (DE meta is the other 75%). They really need to make it so we can buy these bags whenever we want. Also, before the economy tanked post EoD, it wasn’t that back salvaging ectos for luck and then selling the cystalline dust, you’d barely take any loss, sometimes you’d gain. It might be worth mathing out again if you need to max yours. I’d do a stack a week and it didn’t take more than a year.
