Magic Springs, a Disney World park, has been facing issues with alcohol restrictions. The park does not allow outside food or drinks to be brought into the park, except on select Sundays throughout the season. The park offers a variety of coffee treats and refreshers from its full-service coffee shop. However, there are still restrictions on service at Magic Kingdom, with no alcohol sold at any Quick Service locations and no limit on how much food or drink can be brought in.
A public hearing was held by the ABC board to discuss the expansion of Magic Springs’ alcohol service. While the park currently serves alcohol at five venues, General Manager Steve Honeycutt stated that Magic Springs would like additional options. The park currently only serves alcohol at five venues, but General Manager Steve Honeycutt believes that guests who are intoxicated or impaired by alcohol or drugs will not be allowed on rides.
Magic Springs Water and Theme Park received state approval for the sale of on-premise beer and wine at previously permitted venues within the park. No alcohol is served at SDC/WW, nor is there smoking. Additionally, guests have never heard foul language like at MS/CF. There is no limit on how much food or drink can be brought as long as it can be packed in your cooler.
An application for a replacement permit to serve beer and wine at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls was denied by the Arkansas Alcoholic Board. The park continues to face challenges in maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere and ensuring safety for guests.
