Magic mushrooms, also known as shrooms or mushrooms, are hallucinogenic drugs that can cause people to experience sensations that seem real but are not. They can be found in various forms, including organic material like dried mushrooms. To avoid excessive consumption of psilocybin, it is crucial to start low and go slow, especially if it is your first experience. The effects of shrooms are highly variable and believed to be endocannabinic.
Magic mushrooms can be taken in various ways, such as eating them or ingesting them in organic material. Understanding dosage is a key component of harm reduction when trying a new psychoactive drug. Starting with no more than one gram of dried mushrooms or 10 mg of psilocybin is recommended.
Psychedelic use in the U.S. and both finding magic mushrooms gaining popularity. Researchers have explored how the psychedelic compound in the drug can distort a sense of space, time, and self during a trip.
In Canada, the production, sale, and possession of magic mushrooms are illegal. However, there is increasing interest in the potential therapeutic uses of psychedelic and dissociative drugs, including psilocybin. Researchers have delved into how taking small amounts of psychedelics can help people combat depression, trauma, attention deficit disorder, and physical pain.

📹 The Biggest Lie About Microdosing
Taking small amounts of mushrooms, LSD or MDMA is on the rise, but new science says it MAY BE A SCAM!? If so, why are so …
Had my first mushroom trip today, one of the most profound and informative experiences of understanding myself and certain emotions I never really acknowledged. Im young and still growing but cautiously implementing the magic of the mushrooms to be honest with myself. Thanks for your honesty about this stuff man.
I started with shrooms really recently in my life, and I have been suffering from PTSD, OCD and probably an epitome of disorders. Which, I don’t really consider them as disorders. But yes, psilocybin has been the most profound experience I needed. After a heroic ego death, you are right. The calmness it entails is beyond something we can contemplate. But why contemplate and ruin it, and name it, just experience the unexplainable.
I take 500MG Amanita in the morning, and another 500MG a few hours before bedtime. The first week I noticed a very distinct improvement emotionally, no longer feeling depressed. Week two and I was finally able to meditate, or at least find that zone of complete physical relaxation, with a sharp lucid mind. This was a big deal for me. I’ve been trying unsuccessfully for years to meditate. Week three I seem to be in the “flow” while doing my daily tasks. My job is a lot less stressful, there doesn’t seem to be so many aggravating circumstances that occur. Driving around town running errands I catch most the lights green, I pick the fastest path through the store. I’m able to find what I’m looking for easily and quicker. I have also noticed a very distinct increase in my perception of spiritual downloads, I can really feel the energies. Speaking for myself, a person who has been depressed for years, and who has seen firsthand the difficulties associated with antidepressants; I feel this is by far one of the best choices I’ve ever made.
Benefits of taking psychedelic mushrooms every day: 1. Enhanced creativity and improved artistic abilities. 2. Increased control and precision in activities like painting. 3. Greater trust in oneself and emotional well-being. 4. Improved ability to self-soothe and self-comfort. 5. Better management of stress and emotional reactions. 6. Enhanced productivity and focus. 7. Heightened sensory perception and visual acuity. 8. Learning to push personal limits and expand comfort zones. 9. Increased confidence and comfort in one’s own skin. 10. Better communication and reduced conflicts in relationships. Note: these benefits are unique to their personal experience and does not recommend others to follow the same path. Could not find a neat summary, hope it helps 🍄❤
Thanks for sharing this article. A few things I gained from this; your word choice caused me to reflect on past trips (traumatic and fantastic ones), your ballsyness brought me to think it could have been worse, and your self awareness is admirable. Pushing yourself to be the best you truly can, you have proved there is a wide range of methods to help people improve. Thanks again
I remember the first time I took shrooms, my friend gave me a cap after school and I remember the feeling of my heightened senses, it was an absolute blast. I felt like the most efficient version of myself, my mind flowed freely and it was blissful. I’ve tried a few times since to find that sweet spot as you put it without success. I had a hard trip recently, a lot of negative thoughts and ideas seemed to surround me, it was a lot. Everything seemed somewhat chaotic and some of the ideas I was talking about seemed like they were dark truths of our world. There was seemingly hostility all around, it’s weird to say but it felt like the shrooms themselves were hostile at that point. I’m proud to say I didn’t lose it, and I believe I dealt the turmoil facing me in a good way. I ended up letting my dogs outside and we ran around and played forever it seemed. Earlier in the trip they were part of the chaos, instead of trying to control them I let them lose. After my little stint outside, some of the anxiety returned but it felt much more manageable. The end of my trip lead to an expanded realization of one of my previous experiences. That there was love all around me, with the added thought that I needed to put more effort into my relationships. This is something I will be working on for a long time. I hope one day I’ll have an easier time communicating in a truer way and really will be able to let myself shine.
I also dosed pretty much everyday without regard for tolerance, basically just listening to my body, even taking long breaks when needed. 2 years later after starting this I’m no longer an alcoholic. I truly believe these compounds sped up my recovery. Edit: Important thing to mention is I also went to addiction counselling and mindfulness recovery programs while dosing.
Even in the short year I’ve been perusal your articles I’ve noticed a difference in your energy, it’s more grounded it seems. As someone who started microdosing a cpl mths ago,I see the difference in myself as well. Plant medicine when respected and understood becomes symbiotic with our conscious mind. Thank you for posting this Adam. ✌🏻
Bro please can you make a podcast I’ve been here for like 6 months and you’ve helped me alot as i experiment (intelligently ) lol with my body and i feel that i have actually done allot also but with your warnings a vids helped me not have to go through some of the most terrifying parts of psychedelics, thx .
Looking jacked man!!! I’ve been taking .4-1g for a day everday for almost 8 months and it’s been working wonders on my mental health and motivation. It all started with your first couple articles and i was hooked. Mushrooms brought me out of a three year depression and a drug binge that should’ve lasted my life time. Even though you get bashed for it you are helping people and I appreciate what you do.
First time I watch when your articles and just subscribed. Thank you for keeping it real and helping people. Microdosing has helped me so much with my mental health. Was able to get off a high dose of antidepressants that numb my feelings or microdosing helps me feel my feelings and process them in a healthy way.
on “not being able to trust yourself” i had a 7 year diagnosed depression starting when i was 14 and i completely lost control of myself for that period and my biggest fear in life by far is going back into that state and doing the things that i did to myself + my family + friends in that state. to anyone who needs to hear this: recovery is slow but possible. throw whatever you can at the wall and something will stick. i hate to be that guy but dont give up. YOU GOT THIS
Hey Adam. Great article about microdosing. Are you aware about the possible heart risks associated with continous use of psychedelics? Like those mentioned in the article? Those substances bind to the 5-HT2B receptors. Other drugs, that did bind strongly to that receptor caused heart valve desease. Please take a look into it and evaluate if you still want to proceed with your daily microdosing routine. There isn’t enough research to tell if psylocin or lsd is cardiotoxic or not, if taken regularely. I don’t know how much you have to pay to get a regular heart checkup… If you still want to continue you should get your heart valves checked every now and then. Take care mate!
Thanks for the update Adam, seems like you have been doing well & im happy to see that 😊 Last lsd trip I had about a week or two ago has left me in that familiar place of not trusting myself, but as you stated it’s a journey & the experience is going to be subjective to the user. After some serious meditation practices & focus on my physical & mental health I hope to be able to spiritually set off into possible micro-dosing. Anyways thanks for the great content & I hope to keep learning from your experiences to productively enhance mine
It feels like a spiritual awakening, I Tripped and watched your articles, and tripped balls most of quarantine, for the first time in my life and I’m 32, I went deep. Funny now I’m on the same exact health kick and that was before I saw your trt articles, I’ve been on trt also the last two months and I feel better than ever. Keep up all these articles. I’m all the way in Cali, so you’re message is being heard.
So much freedom in “I don’t care what you think of me. I only care what I think about me.” It’s true. Only we know ourselves in our gut if these compounds either inhibit or expedite our own growth. Thanks for affirming all of that, Adam! This website has helped me overcome a lot of the stigma and self-stigma surrounding psychedelic substances and mental health.
I feel a massive connection with what you say, intelligent use of psychedelics, used for the purpose of expanding consciousness and to feel and learn, is exactly the time in life I am currently experiencing at this stage of my life and once you know, you can’t unknow, you can only grow. – courtesy of the teachers shining as bright as the sun, glistening with gold 😉 Never change for anyone else, but keep changing for yourself dude, you’re one of the real ones!
look man, i have been perusal you for a little over a year now and i have to say that you have helped me through multiple psilocybin trips and you have helped me be more educated and more comfortable in my own person and my own thoughts and actions. i have so much to thank you for and i support you in any endeavor. youre not a drug addict, youre a psychonaut, you love diving into your own mind and swimming around in your own consciousness to try and figure out the human process, youre fucking amazing dude, always had my support and always will, love you adam <3
13:00 Nyeaaah… to some extent. The approval and validation of our family and society has traditionaly been a big factor and a guide to know whether we doing something good or are delusional about ourselves (eg. is it all people having aome problem with you or is it maybe more likely you have a problem which gets reflected by everyone). So I’d say being aware of how people see you is at least useful. Moderation might be key. Unless you want the pure shaman/joker experience, then you chose to be on some kind of fringe or even off it.
What happened between your article from 4 years ago (where you seemed to conclude that amphetamines were more effective in leveling your state of mind than microdosing) and this article from 1 year ago (where you seem to be microdosing more heavily than most other experienced people would suggest)? I’m genuinely interested in a more condensed version of your personal mental health journey. I’ve been on a steady NOT increased dosage of amphetamines for nearly a decade to treat social anxiety that I’m fully convinced is a byproduct of ADHD. Some of the experiences you’ve talked about (not limited to but including the early philosophical and euphoric effects etc) have been similar to my experiences, and I think your experiences could be valuable to my own journey. I’ve gotten to a point the past year or so where I can feel the effects of amphetamines that I personally value wearing off. I won’t increase my dosage, because I also feel that amphetamines have worn me out in general. Maybe that’s just because I’ve gotten a decade older while on them, but I truly think they’re taking a toll on me mentally. Amphetamines have changed my life in many ways for the better so far, but they’ve also allowed me a career and lifestyle that I cannot maintain without them, and I feel like I’m running out of time to find a new (hopefully better) way to maintain my mental health. I recently started researching psilocybin microdosing, and after countless articles and articles on “how to” and personal experiences, I was surprised and a little disappointed to come across your article flat out saying that it wasn’t the amphetamine replacement you yourself hoped it would be.
I love using threshold doses (usually mushrooms) to augment my psychospiritual fitness regimen. I don’t take them nearly as often as Adam, just whenever I feel the need for a reset. It’s like a deep tissue massage for the brain. I can pretty much feel all those new synapses coming online. It’s a great addition to meditation. I think a lot of us start out looking for that peak experience of perspective-shattering insight from an high dose trip. We tend to have all sorts of unconscious baggage and confusion. A few strong trips will sort out enough of that to let us move on to more consistent practice of some kind. I know some psychonauts like to travel deep down the rabbit hole regularly for the thrills and bewilderment. That’s fine by me but I much prefer to integrate the psychedelic experience as much as possible. That means intentionally rewiring my brain and transforming my perceptions and way of living to align with the deepest insights I’ve been able to come across. That takes time to do, and psychedelics have helped a lot, but less has proven to be more. I recommend .5 grams in silent darkness.
1st time seeing a article from you. I been Micro-dosing shrooms for over a month now and i have also had crazy benefits including cutting addictions, upping productability, workouts are wayyy better and mental health is crazy good. My self awareness in my thought process is drastically improved. Many more benefits. At the gym now i was listening on my drive here and had to share. Thanks bro stay up!
I’m coming down on my mushroom, almost at the after glow stage. The way you’re speaking it feels like you’re speaking directly at me and it’s really nice, I really enjoy your articles, they make me more open minded and I usually go to them before I think about trying a new compound. I feel safe listening to your advice because you’re not someone who’s pretending to be experienced and it has helped me so thank you 🙂
I feel like our minds and rationalizations/self talk is very similar…I’m at work by 630am daily. I take a quarter tab every day before work. Been doing it for a long time. Definitely feel there are levels to it…I am more efficient and thoughtful throughout my day. When you spoke on handling stressful heightened moments…tis very true. Definitely carries over. Performance enhancer all the way. Well done brothaman.
started microdosing every day to every other day. starting with .25 to .75 of a gram of golden caps. then by about lunch time I may eat another gram or so if I’m feeling froggy. It just changes your whole outlook on life. And he’s right, there’s a level requirement. If I would’ve started microdosing four years ago I would not get as much out of it as I do now, just simply because I’ve practiced my meditations and I’ve tripped rather regularly with magic mushrooms. in middleschool (early bloomer) there was about two weeks straight where I ate cubes every day before school. At least a half gram or more. But I had not had a real trip at that point in my life. I hadn’t expanded my vessel enough through metaphysical practices. I just remember having a nice broad beaming smile. Now that I’ve found this symbiosis with mushroom, it leaks it’s words to me like whispered honey.
Looking so good! Adam is so beautiful 😁 Having watched all your stories, and imagining how much more you’ve been through, i am grateful to know you have been able to find a path psychologically and work through (understand) important but common relationship problems. I do feel it helped me in similar ways. Sounds like you had and still having a very unique journey. Safe travels!
I thought I was alone but it turns out that you have me beat by only 3 months. Be careful man, it’s easy to assume that you know more than people because of all that you’ve seen but make no mistake, the practice that we have both experienced is a controlled abuse of something rare and special. You can’t see it until you are shocked out of the dream. Wait for it and be cautious that you do not encourage people to walk your path even if they follow every rule because what I unwittingly stumbled upon feels like a form of time travel that I realized after it was too late. I’m now in the epilogue of my own life when I should be somewhere in the middle. I accept that because there is no going back.
In my experience eating heroic doses 3.5-5.0 grams is one of the most beautiful experiences…the problem is when you try to do it again the next day and eat the same exact amount or more and it’s like nothing compared to day 1 cause of tolerance of course but it actually feels like a waste. Never been able to try microdosing because I always eat too much cause I want to be in outer space.
I’ve found that the perfect in between dose is different from day to day like one day it could be .7 and the next its .3 you gotta be in the flow state when u take the mushrooms and not think too heavily when measuring to get it right more often then not I’ve noticed with mushrooms. This is the third time I’ve done this for weeks on end and yehthats how it goes for me. Basically I ask them how much today boss and they reply lmao.
Me microdosing on the reg: More socially open; more creative and productive; more focused; less stressed; more oriented towards the spiritual, the universal, the positive; more aware of and grateful for my blessings. Me to me: can I do this every day and it remain “healthy”? Then this vid pops up. Perfect timing bro, thank you! I appreciate your perspective on your own journey, makes me feel better about going about my own journey!
I discovered mushrooms a few months ago and they’ve just made me better at handling life. I tend to take a museum dose maybe once or twice a week and really experiment with set and setting. Now I don’t get a normal psychedelic experience because I’m on an SSRI as well, so the experience tends to be less visual and more spiritual. What I live is it puts me in this wonderful space between dreams and reality. I don’t think I’ll ever stop 🙂
It’s a bit strange how I can relate to this. I’ve been experimenting with the same amount for months before perusal this article. I have reached a level of peace I never thought I’d be in. Everything from my work life to my home life has completely changed in the most enlightening ways. The breakthroughs I’ve had lately have been somewhat overwhelming but I somehow can now stop myself and process it in healthy ways. It used to scare me at first. But I have learned to embrace it, and use it 💪🏽 🍄 💚
New sub here and i have to say it’s so refreshing to hear such positive feedback from microdosing. Within the first ten minutes of your article, everything you said resonated with me. I know I’m on the right track and cannot wait to see what this journey brings. Thank you so much for putting yourself out there and helping so many people along the way✨️💛💫
I can see you slowly but surely reaching “god mode”. Essentially, from my experience, that’s the end game – discovering who you truly are. Every single one of us has God inside of us, which means “God mode” is well within your grasp if you so choose to believe you are capable of that. If you believe God is a separate entity from you far powerful beyond little ol’ you, you’re screwed.
This article is the exact reason I watch your website. This is just raw honest experiences and a synopsis of a lifestyle you’ve been working on and tuning to your own goals. This was fantastic and I love the rant style of article. It was really engaging for me and the fixation on the central topic, while almost circling it with relevant input and examples, was really easy to follow. Thanks for the awesome content bro, and keep it up. We need more eccentricity in this world!
Huge tip, Psychedelics have a “Bell Curve” when it comes to the intensity of the trip. Once you get over the hump you cannot get back. Take every trip as a once in a lifetime experience and make sure to take notes during your trips because you will forget. The mindset you get put into is meant to train your brain to be able to maintain the feeling while not under the influence. Learn from every trip, take it back into your daily life and it will change how you feel forever.
I took lsd regularly for 4 years about on average 200-300ug over a week, with usually 4 days to a weeks rest, it by far the best thing for my chronic neck and back pain, honestly you get bored of taking it so much, in my experience shit doesn’t typically get insane til around 500ug or more, most people can handle 100ug, I’ve done 1.5mg in one sitting (it’s kinda like dmt) I don’t really recommended taking such dosages unless you absolutely know what you’re doing, I haven’t taken any psychedelics in months, no negative side effects other than my nerve pain returning, no hppd, no craving, no “withdrawal”
Learning a lot of things from your articles I wish I would have known about before taking any substance that is psychedelic. Gives me hope to try things again. (I have only tried acid about six times and I have only tried magic mushrooms about 9 times or so memory is fuzzy with both) Also I love how you stay away from incomprehensible psychobabble that is often associated with people who talk about psychedelics, however only speaking from my experience with a few people I have met who also take psychedelics. Also I do not think it is a good idea to just take these substances if you are already suffering with anxiety or depression or some other mental disorder. My conditions with depression and anxiety actually became worse. However it’s slowly getting better. You talk about the deep work that is needed on or after the substances as far as psychodynamics or spiritual aspects. You’re also quite animated in your rhetoric and narrative, it makes listening enjoyable. Also I wish I would have meditated during any of my psychedelic experiences not to say that they went bad, but they could have been more enjoyable if I would have practiced meditation. I also think I’m going to need trt, workouts and more. I have had to have therapy since 2017 as well as getting a few self-help books such as but not limited to self love self-esteem self-confidence controlling anxiety controlling depression and controlling anger.
Thank you for your website and the years that you’ve put into it. I remember being in middle school obsessed with learning about these wonderful substances and educational articles and I’ve got to say They’ve really stuck throughout the years. When youve seen enough PS articles you get the sense of being your own sitter during a trip. Safety is key when talking about these things, and your teachings help spread awareness while also proving information with an easily digestinal manner 🙂 love
I am at 13 mins and that hit me hard…thats my biggest issue. To where Im be looked at as a drug addict but I honestly feel this helps but it makes me sad because I dknt know if Im right but idk it feel like I am or am I just havind unconscious bias…. All I can say I appreciate this and you also helped me verify lsd was safe…. I agree I think it depends on person and I dont feel crazy because I connect with you, and for some crazy reason it makes me feel okay because I dont feel like im totally alone…. I had tears in my eyes man, I struggle with opinions of others and it makes me miserable and when I have lsd or mushrooms it make me see bigger picture of life and not take it so serious but enjoy this dance because I will never be this present moment of me ever again, so appreciate it..thank you
I do a weekly mushroom meditation on 1 – 1.5 grams (GT). I find it way more effective than microdosing. The benefits last the entire week (or longer) and meditation is is effortless, as the mushrooms shut down the Default Mode Network – no more “monkey brain”. OP: Please try this yourself and do an episode on your findings. I think it is one of the most positive ways I have used mushrooms in my life.
i was a store manager for a while. for about 6 months i was taling like a half gram of mushrooms every few days, or like a half hit to a full hit of acid before going in. during this time, the store was super clean, the daily stresses of dealing with the public were reduced. even dealing with thieves was a bit easier andblight hearted. i agree with the in between dose as most efficacious. i tried microdosong to start but i couldnt notice any difference til i pulled it up to the threshold dose. thats where ibfound peace of mind and motivation to go in early and stay on task all day. good stuff man!
That’s so crazy that we did the same thing in the same period of time. Ty for sharing your experience because i feel like my results have been validated. I’m not extremely better off but I can process my feeling and feel more confident in my choices again. I also feel like it’s healed my frontal lobe! I have a few side effects that I want to ask you if you’re experiencing too!
I agree with you totally on the subject of practicing drug administration with the goal of finding that perfect dose for yourself only for exactly what you want to think and feel. With practice I continue to better manage and therefore enjoy each trip much more and do different activities now where I was essentially frozen before.
Looks like you’re losing your mind slowly but surely. You don’t care because there’s nothing to care for, in your eyes at least. Or maybe you’re on the whole “we are one this life is an illusion, other realms, so on and so forth”. I don’t support you, but your articles have been somewhat helpful for recovering addicts to self reflect on.
Eating small quantities of fresh mushrooms and being in an enhanced but not tripping state, over a few weeks is how I finally conquered alcoholism. I once dabbled in mycology as a hobby, and had a steady supply of frequent but small yields (50-150g fresh, which is only 0.4-1.6ish when dried). Rather than drying them and saving enough for a trip, I decided to see if they would work well as an antidepressant. They did so much more.
i just started using shrooms and have done acid a lil bit also in total for the last 6 months almost once a week i started growing shrooms not long ago got around an ounce out of them. but i aquired some PE the other day i figure i would try a G now normally i do 5 to 7g of what i grow and the stuff i seen is out of this world and amazing i struggle with mental health and i believe these help me. my bad trip last night turned out so amazing!
Im actually going to buy a blanket as i might have the chance to try mushrooms in around a month 😉 and if theres anyone i feel i can trust with psychedelic advise 🙂 i have also made the mistake of taking a little to much lsd trying to microdose, and i was a cook and i remember the french fries being some of the weirdest things to look at lol
Anyone else experienced a negative response to microdosing? I was using one or the other 1-2 times per week, yes granted the doses were a little inconsistent but I now feel like I can’t be myself WITHOUT Assid or shrooms. That to me is not good. I’ve recently gone 3 weeks without and am feeling a bit better but at the same time sometimes sturggle in social situations more so than I used to. I’m on a growth period trying to become a better me – less alcohol, doing things I’ve always wanted to do, building confidence etc but I’ve found when using psychs to reduce my usage on alcohol, I have a hard time just BEING MYSELF. No one else seems to have had this experience? I have been using psychs on and off for a few years. I feel like opening my mind is great but maybe things drop into that open mind and make me not myself? I feel like my serotonin, dopamine etc has been damaged to an extent and struggling to be myself. Would appreciate anyone else experience
First I’ve seen of you, you are a stud. You look a bit like me, but your person is me too, tripping me out. If I had an opportunity to breakdown my experience using Psilocybin to anybody, I wouldn’t know how to do it any better than what I just watched. So happy to hear about your journey, and hear about the improvements you’ve seen along the way. I appreciate the grind of it too. If you aren’t willing to put the work in, it’s not worth even trying, psilocybin or LSD, I’m better be ready to face some serious self reflection whether you like that reflection or not. All about the journey brother. Keep spreading the facts, the reality is that this type of change or experience is not for everyone. But everyone should have an opportunity to find that out.
Something about tripping on mushrooms gives you a more relaxed view of society, and gives you more of an open mind. idk if its the chemical effect of the mushrooms or if its just the experience itself. One thing is for sure, they are not to be taken lightly. I have had some of the best times on shrooms, but that last one I did turned into a bad trip. What was at first an amazing time quickly turned into a spiral of negative thoughts and I thought I was going insane. I was extremely relieved when it was over. 9 years later, still have slight HPPD (although barely notice it now). If I were to give anyone advice about mushroom trips, Id say keep it at an eigth or under, and don’t drink a bunch of sunny delight (or anything with vitamin C) like I did. Im not sure if it caused the bad trip, but it definatly didn’t help, and its possible this caused my HPPD, but who knows. Also, if you have HPPD, just know it probably wont go away, but you will get use to it and wont notice it after a long while.
The “sweet spot” concept is something that is profound… I believe it is after you get close to the “source” by first clearing the way by cleaning out your mental “closet” (closet = bad emotions/feelings associated with memories/your logic/your ideas and are able to maintain positivity/ productivity/love… at that point it doesn’t matter too much about the first half of the curve.. (how little you take) – good ideas just come from “the source” in a positive/productive/loving way…
this vids been fun to listen to. it rings very true and very similar to my history with psychadelics. I first did mushrooms at age 13 in a freakin metal backyard shed that was converted to a …who knows what a tweeker tweek shed(now thinking about it) and it got really intense fast and eventually all i could see what a black circle with colors spiraling around it. gnar….. but throughout my youth i kept trying it and enjoying it say 80% of the time. i grew up with a hppie mom and hippie\\military dad. i gained alot of good core values and generaly am a happy, charismatic and kind person. but id been struggling with self esteem and positive view of myself for most of my life. anxiety that i didnt even realize that i had. had a long term gf and eventually wife with a girl that was just not right for me and it was slowly destroying my spirit. covid really really fucked shit up as we were basically now on two different planes of mindsets. it all crashed and burned and I basically had to demolish my entire life and start from scratch internally and externally. shook to the deepest part of my being i started taking small doses of shrooms again. i stayed alone and single for a about a year. disconnected from most friends… all my family had moved out of state years ago so i was just alone… alot. the small doses on a consistant basis brought me to a state where i could reflect on years and years and years of trauma from all different types of sources, but more so in a third person perspective.
The last time we took 1200 mics the onset was crazy (because it was going full speed from being like LSD to being like a DMT breakthrough with eyes open 😂) but after leveling my brother and I felt really comfortable in that state. And it went on like this the whole trip. Functioning was also really smooth once we got accustomed to the state and even required at some points. Ego death was not a problem but saying your name is always a bit weird as it feels a bit like talking in 3rd person 😂 Still would not do that too often and please don’t experiment with high doses of high quality acid if you are not experienced and comfortable enough! Better take small steps than a huge one and fall over. And we all did take small steps one at a time ✌️😊🌈
This article reminded me of why I stopped following your website a few years ago in the first place. and it also reminded me why I came back agian, and why I’m leaving one more time, and here’s the reason: In articles like this you acknowledge that you’ve had bad experiences with and withot psychedelics, then you say it’s worth it because there’s a reward for putting the work, which I agree with, but then your conclusion is totally arrogant, how can you say you don’t care about what anyone else think? is your life so perfect that you can go without relating to anyone in any way cos you don’t care, including your viewers? this isn’t “polarizing” it’s just selfish af. I can see how psychedelics might help people, but hey, people are what they are with or without psychedelics. And if your conclusion is so stupid after taking so many drugs. Maybe you could start considering a different approach? like… I don’t know… altruism? volunteering? not living for yourself only? working for your community? Drugs are fun, and this website is fun. But that’s it. it’s just fun. I hope one day you can actually accept that there’s a world beyond all this amazing substances(which they truly are), and that you can have a bigger and more positive impact in it as soon as you become at least a bit more selfless.
Adam, I must say you look great. I hope your family is well. I see that this article is kind of old when I ran across it the last time I saw you you were walking through the woods and things were going so well. I hope everything‘s patched up, I always loved your content and your articles. I’m about ready to do the same microdose thing I was diagnosed with Barrett’s esophagus, so I can’t drink when I can’t smoke anymore so I’m gonna try microdosing
I can’t trip off of mushrooms anymore. I can eat a whole ounce of different varieties and barely see any movement. Back to back, every day wouldn’t do anything for me. Maybe I need a long detox? Same happens when I take Molly.. it never works back to back or even a day to a week after. Did I burn my last brain cell?
I have seen quite a few of your articles now and it seems like, although you do your research and take the substances very responsibly, you seem to never get fully off of them. Why do you think that is and have you gotten fully away from drugs in general and do you even want to? Would be really interesting to hear
I intentionally gave myself a bad trip to test the limits of my mental faculty’s. That was incredible! There were at least three separate occasions where I could observe my psyche-breaking. Imagined or not the perception was real. The setting was a dark silent basement where you can hear water in the walls and footsteps above you. At night with a partially open window. I really really really enjoyed it… What does that mean?
One of the greatest articles i’ve ever watched. Everything from 8:00 til 13:00 spoke to my soul. You can call me a drug addict all you want but I just simply care at this point. It’s too much negative energy. I’m sick and tired of being angry. Since I started taking mushrooms I’ve almost completely changed. Parts of the old me is still there of course. I have to say i’m much happier, but half of the journey isn’t even over yet. It’s a never-ending journey it can seem at times. I now want to live my life and not take it prematurely. Thank you for these articles Adam. They’ve helped me out alot over the years. I think i’ve been perusal your articles for over 6 years now. I used to try stopping myself from perusal your articles because I felt like it was not very christian and this and that. I’ve let go of those things and i’m more content and accepted who I am. Fuck trying to change for anybody. Especially if i’m not hurting anyone or anything. Literally just hanging out at my house with my girl and pups instead of going out to the bars and living that crazy lifestyle.
I have eaten s35 chocolate bars, first time was great..next two times I threw up the worst I have ever in my life..ordered again and once again threw up..wasted hundreds of $ cuz I would order 3 bars at a time (no I didn’t eat them all at once lol) is this normal for this company? What is a company that won’t rip me off?
it’s so ridiculous to say oh you’re not meditating right because you have to use drugs to get there. OK so what about water? How much water should you drink EXACTLY in order to be naturally hydrated so that you aren’t getting an unfair advantage in meditating? So right there you can see how ridiculous and petty this argument is. Do what you have to do, take what you have to take to live YOUR best life in the way that YOU see fit. There is no “unfair advantage” in life itself because life itself isn’t a competition
Hi Adam. Been a fan for a long time.. I have been rendomly testing microdosing w mushrooms. It gives me a sense of well being, everything will be OK kind of thing… But also kind of inspires me and motivates me I have had drug problems with all the bad ones…. I’ve been sover for 3 years from the evil ones… So I noticed I deal with depression (I think from years of hard drugs) and the microdosing helps. Now my other issue is I take Kratom nightly for RLS. I DO NOT take it during day or evening, just before bed.. I would love to not take it but…. I havnt found anything that allows me to sleep. Alright I’ve rambled enough.. I relate to you so much… And Adam I definitely do not judge you are a perfectly normal human being.. We appreciate you for sure.
Adam, first of all you look great today!!! And second I have had very similar experience honestly. I’ve been beaten down and still came back with it. I don’t think I would’ve been able to stop using other bad drugs without these experiences from LSD. But it wasn’t micro doses either. I havent experienced much benefit from micro dosing but intense experiences really benefit me for weeks after. Thanks for making these articles!!! I am a strong believer that psychedelics are a key to the evolution of our species.
I love micro dosing!!!! I have definitely been pushing my limits haha I’m at a dose where after about 75 minutes, my energy level jumps to the same degree as if I’m on cocaine and my mood! Jesus my mood is equivalent as if Im on mdma lol My only question… I feel the benefits ONLY on the days I dose shroomz. 😅
I had a belly full of cubes and the first two hours was anxiety filled, like a roller coaster climbing higher. And then once I dropped down, patterns started to shift and it was enjoyable. It didn’t benefit me, except it made me realize alot of my flaws and the the fact that I live with alot of anxiety. I consume cannabis, tobacco, nicotine and caffeine everyday just to cope. I have more bad days than good. At the rate that I live, there’s not much longevity and currently no quality of life. Work nonstop in a steakhouse with a really bad knee. Limping everyday in agonizing pain and god oh mighty what I wouldn’t give for an opiate derivative medication. Nothing too strong but narcotics please. I live with so much pain and all I want is the help of a hydrocodone. Take all pain away, soothe my anxiety and make me happier. They also help men last longer in bed. Many benefits to pain medication, for the people who need them. But now they’re frowned upon by everyone and that sucks
Again, what i learned and did just like you did “just found this vid btw” was i noticed when you can merge into it its there but only when you want to notice it. But regarding tolerance, amazong i foundnis this. If in the morning i start with .2 i will take that through the day. But if you just up it like another tenth, it just like the first usage of the .2. So i start thr week low and by end of week i am taking like .8 few times a day. Monday i switch strain, and sonin. Its bery cool. I never ever thought of using it as a medicinal usage. As a kid i would take like 7g and going into woods and meditate and experience. Very life changing to find how to use it well. Feel like neo or some shit. Lol i always felt way beyond the average person around me, but now i feel like it doesnt bother me. Just all in with the moment and myself.
I did shrooms for two weeks straight, and I ended up in a state where I felt awake when I was asleep then I would wake up and be in a catastrophic world. I also had Wall E on DVD playing on a loop, I don’t know how long the wall e and sleeping went on for but it felt like eternity. I actually haven’t watched that movie since Edit: and yeah LSD you can’t to everyday, you build a tolerance to it really quickly
on my last mushroom trip (3x high dose) I was feeling great and felt eternal peace and happiness. I had thoughts deeper than life itself, I dont remember them tho. But thoughts that were deep but on life level were some that changed my life, I feel at the age that I am psylocybin mushrooms can alter your life even easier. From that trip on I stopped caring about those little unimportant things that other people get angry about all the time, like whos doing dishes today, whats trending on tiktok and all that bullshit. I’m lucky enough to have a safe environment for taking mushrooms and having complete symbiose with them. Out of many trips I never have bad trip no matter the dose, I just go with the flow and don’t even try to fight with it and every experience is just euphoric.
Brother I call it feel healing. But for me it was a mater of meditation awairnes practice intergrating feeling of body breath. Prober body and chest breath and diaphragm breath. Your lungs are this hugs pump. I strungle with cold hands and its enough to warm them. I struggle with health alot and I respect the realm of understanding you are displaying. And I do appretiate it. I hope you can practice this with benifits.
I just took 6.4 grams of mushrooms and I just got broken up with my girlfriend. To say the least I had a very emotional and intense trip. I watched ratatouille and cars both movies that have relationships in them. I had multiple ups and downs. My first time taking more then 1.5 grams. I recommend a high dose, i learned a lot and feel like the trip was healthy. Highly recommend taking mushrooms
So basically. Psychedelics induce self disipline. U become more conscious. And sometimes you can become so consious it can give u anxiety or make u panic. Bc just the fact that the realization of how much bad or good youre really doing for yourself can be that intense. Ill take a micro dose maybe once in a blue moon(0.2 – 0.4 g for me). But I took a heroic dose of shrooms my first time ever doing it(4 grams for me). Had a bad/beautiful trip. Super scary it made me feel closer to death than to life. What happend after was beautiful. Ive been doing so good since then. Ive been working out. Trying to quit all my bad habits. I dont drink alcohol anymore. I dont abuse thc, neither am i dependant on it anymore to feel joy. Cut down on sugar. Working longer hours. Have courage to go to the doctors. Psychedelic are life changers if u feel like youre in a bad spot in life. Yeh u might have a bad trip. Or maybe it will be great. But thats all up to you and your consious. You get what you need from it. U go with the flow and u take the best parts of the experience and try to learn from it. And incorporate it into your life. I dont recommend doing them if you love your life the way it is bc it will bring a lot of dark shit in your life to the light. (Friends, family, things, anything you can get attached too really. not everything or everybody is good for you) And if youre strong enough mentally to understand what im trying to say. And you havent done Psychedelics. I recommend them to you.
Used to be liberty caps everywhere for years in 4 different fields in the uk.. now theres none i think the farmers are spraying the fields.. at my old spots last 4yr its getting very hard to find a spot a patch .. when they used to be everywhere Scotland in season 2min from my house was mushroom heaven for years .. now zero
I can definitely agree on the continuous dosing, twice weekly minidose, just enough to see brighter colors. My art is singing Karaoke and I definitely can feel a better sense of vocal control and rhythm accuracy and find it much easier to memorize new songs. All because of the enhanced state of neuroplasticity that is unlocked when you’ve got enough psychonaut XP.
All that he said i am all of it without the mushrooms. I am all of it because of meditation 🧘 and yoga . Now i am not saying that they are bad . They are definitely worth but yoga is a deep subject and once you dive in it all that you experience while on mushrooms u can experience normally with doin yoga consistently and accurately. But consistency is the key .
I have a question. I use to do a lot of psychedelics mainly lsd almost every day. Mixing with other non psych substances as well. But I found myself caught in let’s say a concrete box for a little over three years. Now when I try to trip with either lsd, deemz, or shrooms my mind isn’t quite right and I’m very uncomfortable. Only substance my mind has agreed with is ketamine. What is your advice on how I can repair my mind to be more comfortable using psychs again? I just tell myself that the chapter is now closed but I truly hope that isn’t the case. Psychedelics and what follow with them are a part of my path I guess you could say and I feel like without this repair or acceptance I am not just quite whole.
LMFAO… Experience points accrued… Just got back from a 7 day cruise to the south America’s. For the FIRST time EVER in my life they held me up at the border and took all my ganja and they also confiscated 4-5g of ENIGMA mushrooms.. This was after all the flights I took and on the actual border of of CA going into Mexico??? After bringing my goodies from AZ to CO to CA through all your normal ” in – air – security.” For the first time ever they stopped me and inspected EVERYTHING down to the thread and made a huge show of me lol… Mind you Im in a line of 3,000 people and they got my jars of weed and my mushrooms all spread out on the counters and sniffing them and making some huge deal out of it, speaking Spanish. I was thinking uh oh>>> Im gonna end up some third world prison or something… After about an hour they packaged up all my drugs and then gave me 3 CONSECUTIVE VERBAL warnings saying “DON’T ASK FOR YOUR “STUFF”. WHEN YOUR ON YOUR WAY BACK INTO THE COUNTRY??? They then let me back in line and go about my business… They confiscated all my herb and mushrooms and just let me on my way??
In my experience because I’ve basically done this myself a while ago without being influenced to do so by anyone and what I can say about this is, it’s like taking these when u need an extra bounce in your step without feeling pure euphoria like with other substances, it’s like a l little reset button to restart your mindset while at the same time u keep your life experiences. Its like when people ask the question of would u restart your life from new would u? But u take this an it’s a similar concept I guess but u stay yourself but can rework yourself like new👍
I know this, I was almost 37 years old, I had hip and back pains from operating equipment since I was a kid. When I woke up in the morning or if I sat down for too long my legs would go stiff and it would take a long time to get them warmed up. I was having light-headedness if I bent down for too long or sometimes when I went to the toilet. I had PTSD from years of verbal abuse plus finding one of my best friends dead on her bathroom floor in August 2019, right before Covid hit which was its own trauma. 3.5 grams of golden teachers cured all that for me. I didn’t even know it could heal physical pain, it just did it without me having any pre-conceived notion that it could happen.
Hit the ‘mother lode’ of cyanescens out on the Gulf Islands. Ate 10g dried a day for about a year. The acute effects milded out after about two weeks…. then the REAL MAGIC started. (however!…. woodlovers paralysis was crippling and undiagnosed and virtually unknown at the time. I made no causative linkage until years after)
I’m 2 years late, but it sounds like progressive overload (an idea from strength training). It’s as if you’re increasing the dose by a little bit over time to see the effects. I like this concept being applied to psychedelics or medicine in general. Why should we take perfectly metered doses according to charts and stuff when we know each person has an individualized experience? This would be like, “Yeah, this guy is level 3 beginner (or some nonsense) lifter and he should squat exactly 205 pounds for the next three weeks, and then he will become a level 4 beginner lifter who needs 225 lb for a period of time.” This is kind of silly. We should be able to start at light, easy, maybe not even noticeable doses and slowly, progressively overload to higher doses. Stop at what makes you comfy. There is no reason a beginner lifter should try to squat 400 pounds on day one. They should start at nice, light weight (the bar at 45 or even lower) and add weight each workout or each week until they make it to higher loads. Use this analogy on psychedelics or pharmacological medicine.

Incorporate supplementing medicinal and edible mushrooms as well. The heightened abilities from psycho-enhancing/altering substances are great, especially when they are controlled and manageable. But they are taxing on the body in various ways and you obviously feel the effects after several trips. There are various organic powder blends and fresh mixes in health food stores now that taste great and are loaded with tons of nutrients and vitamins. The 14-Mushroom Blend from Mushroom Harvest is awesome for this.
How old are your kids if you don’t mind me asking? Also I’m wondering if you’re doing this EVERYDAY you are obviously high around your kids 😒 why is this any different then someone being on heroin for 15 months around their kids cuz if that was the case they would lose their kids immediately to child family services, I just wonder how you avoid them especially making articles and putting it out there that your high every single day off a strong substance🤷🏻♀️
I have only really gotten into Mushrooms. I have taken them a handful of times and had never had a “bad trip” until New Years day of this year. I took about 1.5 grams because I had been uncomfortable on a 2 gram trip I took with friends on my birthday a few weeks before. I was living in a really bad housing situation and I was dealing with really bad Agoraphobia and depression. I didn’t see anything weird or anything, I just was overwhelmed by the sense that I had so much time and had nothing to do with it and life felt empty and cried for like 3 hours straight. I plan to try a microdose I have saved at some point in the future because life is a lot better now, but am waiting for the right time
Did them for a month, then stopped for a few days, and I got benefits and malus. I successfully changed something in my personality for my own good, but after a month it was like I was losing touch with reality. After this experience I wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s so personal that it cannot be really recommended or not…
What about the risk of VHD? Have you had any symptoms of shortness of breath or chest pain? A recent ECG? Would love to know what your anecdotal reports on the matter are, as some research suggest microdosing alone (as opposed to “minidosing”) can cause enough action on 5HT2B receptors to cause murmurs and other cardio issues.
Dude, firstly, I’m so happy for you. It’s the 1st time I’ve seen ur website, not sure why YouTube algo suddenly decided to present u 2 me, but it seems like a good starting point! 😜 Ya, so happy for ur success on what is, quite possibly, the most challenging (and most rewarding!) path to take, int many of us that master it. I’ve received a lot of judgement, criticism, even I’d say persecution, along the way but as you said, we care not a jot for the blah blah these noise-makers emit, they know not and in this life never will have, the rewards, the beauty, the true deep freedom u and I have earned. 💖 It’s surely not a advisable (or even in any way possible) camino for ur average soul 2 walk, but, wow, when it IS ur turn AND u realise this life’s meant for that way, ya, wow, how lucky r we this time?!?! 🤣🤪🤩😉 Bless ur cotton sox, all the best, I subscribe eagerly awaiting another report on ur journey through the mad-way 👍😜
I have a related but kind of opposite experience. I tried weed for the first time a little while ago and I have severe anxiety/social anxiety. I realized when I was stoned how much of my anxiety I could let go of and life would be fine. Everything would be fine, the world wouldn’t implode like it felt like it would. I was stoned on average every other day and the world didn’t fall apart. If my world didn’t fall apart when I didn’t care about my anxiety because of being high, my world wouldn’t fall apart if I don’t care about my anxiety while sober. It was a cool lesson to learn and I’m still trying to put it into practice. It will take some time to build the kind of mindfulness and meditation you were talking about in the article but that’s what I’m working towards now.
After 10+ years of trying many substances (lightly), and experimenting their effects. I now have been around 8 months sober. Not a drop of alcohol, or smoking or anything. I will say psychedelics can have a great positive impact, however after being sober for this long, and applying the things i’ve learned, (stoicism, energy, understanding ones self and such), i can confidently say i feel more in control of my mind and self than ever before. This is just my truth. I don’t believe in therapy, or that constantly dosing will lead to great mental benefits. I believe in one conquering their own mind through the acts of searching for truth. When you seek, you will find. The kingdom of God is within you ; Luke:17:21
