MSI Mystic Light Sync is a software that allows users to control and customize various aspects of their MSI RGB components, including the graphics card. It provides complete control of RGB lighting in one software, including the RGB motherboard, graphics card, and PC case lighting. The software takes up a moderate amount of resources (13700kf, 32gig), but it does not recognize the ASUS GPU (3080 OC).
The user experienced issues with the MSI control center, as the GPU was still stuck with the previously selected RGB from the software. Mystic Light can only control items connected through the JRainbow and JRGB ports on the motherboard, along with a few other supported devices. The user also found that a Ventus GPU has no light control at all, and only Gaming X/Z and SUPRIM GPUs have Controllable RGB. Fans are normally controlled via the motherboard.
To resolve this issue, the user needs to update their motherboard bios and Mystic Light should pop up in MSI Center. They have installed Dragon Center and registered their GPU with MSI, but they still cannot find the setting. RGB strips and fans plugged into the motherboard will not work with Mystic Light.
In summary, MSI Mystic Light Sync is a powerful tool for controlling RGB lighting in a gaming PC. Users can easily change colors, effects, and synchronize devices for a personalized lighting experience. However, some users have reported issues with the software not working with their GPU or RGB strips.
