The fact that people are saying that this is fake is just cruel. My sister was in the school during the shooting (she wasn’t killed). It’s terrible what people are saying. That it’s fake and they had a script. It was not fake. My neighbor was a victim, and it hurts me that people are saying that this never happened. Seeing so many people say that just made me angry, and I had to say something. Thank you to everyone sticking up for this event. I appreciate it.
I remember when this happened, it was my freshman year in high school I was in art class. It was first period in the morning on a Friday and the teacher told us about it and the class just got silent. That next week our assignment was to draw portraits and make cards for the victims families and they were sent to Sandy Hook elementary school. ❤️
Ten years later & it still seems incomprehensible. As for the shooter shooting his mother first, I tried but I can’t feel sorry for her. She knew he wasn’t quite right, she told his babysitter not to turn their back on him, even in the time it takes to go to the bathroom, she was going to take him to a doctor to have him checked, yet… She gave him access to an arsenal because ‘it was something he was interested in that they could do together’… Really??? I remember that day: Sophomore year of high school, two weeks prior to my winter break that year. I was nearly 30 minutes into second period when I heard it from one of the teachers at learning support center. We live in this burdened and cruel world as we know it. I remember getting picked up from school that day in a completely different state and both my parents just hugging me so tight and being confused as to what happened. They told me and it never processed back then since I was so young but looking back now I can’t imagine the relief they must have felt that it wasn’t our school yet also pure grief knowing some parents wouldn’t be welcoming there kids home like mine.
What I would like to know is how was Lanza about to shoot out the glass? When I went to elementary school in the 80’s the school had wire reinforced glass. Why? It’s simple, there was always some kid who would throw a rock. The schools put in wire-reinforced glass so that it wouldn’t break. I’m not one for conspiracies, but I have my doubts that Lanza fired his way into the school. The school system probably just buzzed him in, and told everyone he fired his way into the school to avoid a lawsuit.
I remember hearing this in the car with my husband. It was before we had kids. I was bawling my eyes out and told my husband to turn off the radio. It has bothered me for a very long time. I have stayed away from details over a decade and this is the first time ive watched something about it. It haunts me so bad
I suggest looking at other photos of Lanza. It bugs me that everyone in the news uses the same photo. His eyes are naturally wide and there’s actually a condition for it. There’s also a article on him dancing to DDR to those who don’t believe he actually exists. He was also denied real medication from his mother, even though he consistently asked for them, yet she claimed he was ‘out of control’.The reason he did what he did, to him, is that he wanted to “free” these children. I believe it was due to the trauma he had as a child and thus chose, in his own misunderstood way, to “fix” it like this.
This is depressing. School shootings are scary. I’m only 10 and never knew about any of this until the parkland shooting. My cousin was there. She saw friends leaving this world. And to think some think sandy hook shooting is fake… I don’t even know what to say. Thankfully there is some good in all evil. We are establishing gun laws. We are raising awareness. And most of all, the children of yesterday are now the superhero’s today. Together we can end this. Together we can be strong. One last thing. These were words inscribed in a cellar during WW2. May there some day be sunshine May there some day be happiness May there some day be love May there some day be peace And these are the only words we have to hold on to. These are the only words to a brighter tomorrow.
The “AR” in AR-15 doesn’t mean “ASSAULT RIFLE”. It is short for ArmaLite that was the original manufacturer of the smaller 7.62. It is only a 2.23 or 5.56 size round and is semi automatic. Just because it looks different than other rifles with the same caliber doesn’t mean it is. That’s like calling a Pontiac Fiero a supercar. It just isn’t so.
I was in first grade when this happened, The same age as all the children who were killed. I remember that was around the time we started doing lockdown drills more often, I didn’t understand why as I was only a child but now I do. May all the innocent children and staff rest in peace, and May all of the families find peace.

Damn it hurts me to hear that lil baby’s or kids got murdered. And for this to happen at the school I used to go too Robb elementary, it broke me until this day I live a block away . My daughter went to at school and I’m glad she’s safe with the rest of the survivors but for the victims I’ll always remember them. May 24 2022 I’ll never forget
Here after the Allen outlet mall shooting closer to home. All this is so painful. Why would mothers train kids to use guns especially when they are mentally not stable. Cannot imagine the plight of the 20 kids who would have been so eager to celebrate Christmas with their families. First graders don’t even deserve to see anything like this leave alone go through it. Even after all these years heart aches. Bless the school staff who had to give up their lives & who protected their children. Life is never the same after this incident. Such things need to stop.
I live in the Town of Newtown I’m in 6th grade I got saved by my parents the year before I entered kindergarten we moved. I was going to go to sandy hook but I went to middle gate school. I lost my best friend. I did not know how serious it was till I was a year older. Chase kawalski was his name. I still have many memories with him and could have had many more. But I know he is always with me. I always have a toy next to my bed it is a lightning Mqueen toy it was his.
I’m perusal this years later after the incident and somehow people still say this is fake..? Bruh a whole class of 1st graders lost their lives including staff members and you think the school just faked this for attention? It amazes me how stupid a lot of people are, like I know a lot of them are trolls but some people are dead serious about claiming it’s fake…
I see no reason to include the fact he had gone shooting prior in his life. What exactly does that prove, most parents teach there children how to shoot a firearm and there is nothing wrong with that. Yes this was a tragedy that should’ve been avoided but “facts” like that don’t need to be included and they are only included to create divide between people when the larger issue at hand is mental health.
As someone going to school in America, I haven’t been in a shooting. But this doesn’t mean they haven’t affected me. I remember in 2nd grade, I think a year or so after Sandy Hook, we had a shooting drill. This wasn’t out of the ordinary, we had them every semester. But, this time, they had someone walk around the school and bang on the door. A note here, I should add, they didn’t tell us they were drills until they were over. In that moment, I thought I was going to die. I was so scared, the idea processed in my mind so fast but my emotions reacted so slow. I didn’t scream or cry, I didn’t even hyperventilate. I stayed quiet and pushed further back into my hiding spot. I was either 8 or 9. I shouldn’t have known those survival strategies. I shouldn’t have needed them, I still shouldn’t need them. I shouldn’t have even understood that someone may just decide that they need to take out all of their emotions and problems on children who had done nothing. I shouldn’t have thought I would have died in that moment. The Sandy Hook tragedy should have been the end of all of this. Nothing like that should have ever happened again. But it still does. I still fear going to school. Kids can still get guns. Yes there is some responsibility to us to treat our fellow humans well, but we can only do so much. We don’t control whether or not a grown man with a semi-automatic decides to commit an atrocity.

I will honestly never understand why the front office heard gun shots and the school wasn’t put on active shooter lockdown. I’ve had multiple school shooting and if there is even a whisper of a doubt of a gun in the area they lock down each room immediately after 1 call from the live speaker, they have all that kind of stuff set up way in advance for at least a decade if not more…why would they make a warning announcement after multiple “pops” that means every person in that office didn’t follow lock down procedure ????????? if my high school lost its shit to lock up for a shooting a block away this seems more than absurd to suggest adults could hear assult riffles and not instantly call for an active shooter lockdown procedure.
My niece was at the Aurora Theater with her boyfriend and both got out OK. He was interviewed on TV and can be seen on YT. They never mentioned about cameras inside the theater itself. If cameras are what you want, the Pentagon had dozens of them…but not that they will ever release them to any independent investigation.
Don’t worry guys. They are in a way better place now. They are too young to understand what’s good and what’s bad, therefore they are chilling in heaven eating candy and perusal dora and barney. you can take ANY clip the media released and tell this was a hoax/staged event. the one 911 call made by “the ACTING Custodian” rick thorne is one of my favorites. in the call he makes it a point to identify himself as “the acting custodian” and when the “cops” see him, they ask him who he is instead of “get down on the ground! let me see your hands!” no, only who are you???? while his call is going on, he describes two shadows running behind the school and about an hour later News 12 films what he described????? amazing!
