📹 You WON’T Get into Disney World Without a Parks Pass — We’ve Got the Tips You Need!
Disney World has officially rolled out its new Parks Pass system, and you’re gonna need one of those reservations to visit Magic …
Apparently I was one of the very lucky ones on Monday……I logged in at around 7:30am Pacific time, waited a few minutes in each “waiting room,” but was in and out and done in only 10-12 minutes!! Our trip is in September; we’re only doing three days of parks but everything was available on our dates. I’m actually pretty happy about the prospect of just waiting in line for ROTR, rather than trying frantically to get a boarding group! With only one day in the Studios, I suspect we may spend a good chunk of our time waiting in line for ROTR and Slinky Dog Dash!!
I have a Gold pass, and I think the reservation system is ridiculous. I am paying extra every month for summer access which just hasnt been and isnt available. I work during the week… I may as well have a select pass (not even) with all the fully reserved days. I will have to cancel and I will sign up for a downgraded pass once they truly reopen. It just doesn’t make sense any other way. I can’t help but notice that Universal is open and doesn’t seem to be experiencing any capacity issues. Is Disney exaggerating?
Thanks for the info, Molly. You are the best!! Other than the system going down on Monday morning, I was able to reserve parks and make changes for my August trip pretty easily. However, we decided to cancel this morning:( I feel confident with Disney’s preparations but Florida just seems too volatile at the moment. We’ll see how things are in 2021.
Does anyone know about the Florida Discover tickets with the park hopper option? I have two passes and I was only able to go for one day with park hopper back in February. I don’t mind going to one park for the last two days, but will Disney offer me free parking or something else to make up for not being able to park hop? My passes expire September 30, 2020.
My friend spent a couple of hours making park reservations on the first day the new system was available . She booked all 12 park days she wanted for October . Interestingly she’s staying at All Star Sports which hasn’t got a confirmed opening date. I’m thinking it might be easier to get in nearer the dates if you can’t immediately book a park reservation too as my friend along with many others may cancel their reservations if travel restrictions are still in place as currently we can’t enter the USA from the UK.
