As F2P gacha veteran, I don’t mind pull since I know very well my resource won’t be enough for all new ID. I manage to save 13k lunacy by using available ID and don’t pull without thinking 😂. I get lucky in some banner by getting 000 in ten pull after all. I just use case for something I need like getting that Fluid Sac Faust (I don’t buy BP).
Just when I was thinking of quitting the game because I am at the point where I don’t need that many identities but the cost of uptying is too steep since I couldn’t use the EGO shard convertion to quicky uptie my Sinners because of Uptie 4. This also this helps me personally since probably I won’t need to log in two times of the day to not let the enkephalim to fill up.
I get burnt out way too quickly to do that many md runs daily, honestly. Besides, you already get 20-ish boxes from one weekly mdh, which, while the extra 17 boxes per week does add up, you’re putting 7 yimes as much work to not even double it. The fun factor matters a lot in this sort of thing, and senseless grinding isn’t fun.
I dont think its that necesary to grind, i got 650 levels of BP (i buyed the BP) just by doing hard Mirror dungeon every wednesday, that is 1680 just on post BP shardcrates, that gives you 8 ids or egos at the end of the season i got almost everything using shard crates, everything expet 4 egos and 2 Ids, i saved 333 that became 166 the next season just in case
Counterpoint: Even just one Mirror Dungeon makes me want to kms. It’s at the point for me where it’s hard enough that I need to put a little bit of thought into it, but not hard enough that it’s actually interesting me. I tried MD2H but I got bodied by the N Corp guys – I read up a bit on strategies, tried again this time avoiding N Corp fights… and Guidon or whatever his name is was the final boss of the first floor. Haven’t tried it since lol, though I should probably try again at some point.
Im still riding the luck i had when i first started the game lol. Had to basically buy the walupurgis night ouits with yising,and right now im about 40 dollars of pullings plus what i saved trying to get ahab Ishmael. 103 pull in. Atleast the good news is i got good stuff,and a second ego for yi sang. And ill end up getting some thread when the banner ends. But im gonna have to grind to get the i.d. Is that gonna stop me from pulling?? No, no it is not.
Yeah. You won’t convince my f2p gacha addict ass. I did went broke once, since I spent lunacy not on refreshes and pulled, and then I had to uptie some of my ids. Plus, yea, I don’t have battlepass, and without it, you basically have no opportunity to get 3 star quickly. But I continue have money. Not enough to buy battlepass. Plus, will I get all the paid boxes for every level I got previously? Probably yes. But I will go for next season then.

As a whale who only rolls for IDs despite having 2000 shard boxes saved up, there is simply no way to uptie 4 all EGOS and IDs in the game without refreshing enkephalin 10 times every day. Pulling gives me a good amount of thread each banner and I ain’t going to farm mirror dungeon every day for my whole life despite it being a better enkephalin to thread ratio than mass skipping thread luxcavations. But yes for f2ps and light spenders I completely agree that sparking IDs is the best way to go. Only psychopaths like me who have the impossible goal set on themselves to uptie 4 everything should roll.
