Number Of Spells In A Deck Of Hearthstone?

A Mage deck can have 16-18 spells, which is not necessarily a bad thing. A recent Managrind tournament winner used two Mage deck variants, one with 10 spells and the other with 21, and a recent IHearthU article suggested a “minionless” Mage deck that has only 10 spells. A deck is a collection of exactly 30 cards assembled before a match, as well as the zone where players draw cards from and sometimes add cards to during gameplay. Each deck is tied to a specific class.

A Spell Priest is a variant of Control Priest that cuts nearly every minion from its deck in favor of additional spells. This minimalist approach to minions provides much value. Collectible spells can be collected by players and added to decks, and all collectible spells are class-specific.

The No Minion Spell Mage deck list guide goes through the ins-and-outs of this Mage deck that has been meta-defining in Forged in the Barrens. This guide contains detailed Strategy, Mulligan, and deck-building information to help you play Spell Mage in The Wailing Caverns expansion meta.

Spells are the second most common card type in Hearthstone, after minions. For Wild format listings, 7-8 spells are optimal. For a standard midrange weapon-wielding class, anything in the ballpark of 3 weapons, 9 spells, and 18 minions is standard.

Building new decks from scratch or importing existing deck codes can be done, and most decks will want a nice balance between 4-8 removal spells. Certain spells can target either minions or heroes, such as Soulfire.

Hearthstone is a turn-based card game developed by Blizzard, featuring 30 cards and a hero with a unique power. • Pretty unfair to the Magic deck that the game overall used HS rules. Having your creatures freely attacked at any time is insane Also I think it wouldve made sense if the Magic player started at 30 life and HS at 20, so each deck had to deal to their opponent the amount of damage that their game usually uses

  • No, technically Armour is extra life since in hearthstone u can’t go higher than ur starting life total, tho there r cards that have those before the game starts effects that can change ur starting life total. But wutevr ur starting number is after those effects, it can only heal back up to that n won’t go over, but armour stacks on top of ur life.

  • Should be playing legacy viable decks against hearthstone wild decks probably. Also if you have to block like your game rather than attack like your game it’s very different, I think it should be every other game is played with the other games rule set (mana should be the same as their respective games and cards too, blocking/combat should be uniform)

  • If both of these games played with both of their entire collections of cards hearthstone wouldn’t have a chance. Put it this way. Flip a coin for first turn and pretend the hearstone player wins the coinflip. The magic deck could kill the hearthstone deck before the hearthstone deck takes the first turn, and that’s with a losing coin flip.

  • Every time mulligam comes up, Im just flabbergasted traditiomal 5card poker mulligans have never been the norm. Yes, of course, it would be fucking broken, but balance wasnt anyones strongsuit backnin the 90s, and the concept of re-drawing a hand didnt exist outside of poker yet. So Im suprised noone just used it.

  • Yeah Hearthstone seems kinda over powered. Magic 1, Hearthstone 2, just the fact silence is a thing, that breaks several Indestructible, Lifelink etc. Basically text is erased that’s a bit too extreme. Forget about creature combo decks and such lols. I wouldn’t even know what in magic would stand a chance on God Rules, maybe, MTG needs to make an enchantment that prevents creatures losing their text, but then again that sounds so unhinged/unglued era lols 🤣

  • If only he had first strike ! All this was over ! Oh you attack my creature ? Ok then ! This is why he beeded a sliver deck ! Keep popping off ! Oh all creature luse text ! Atlest 3 slivers can count that ! Diffusion sliver ! Crystsline sliver ! Muscle sliver ! Gemhide sliver and manawelf sliver ! For mana ! Som sol rings and lotus pestal ! Lands ! Hiveheart / cavern of souls / ancent ziggares andmanaconfluence ! You also need sliver hivelord / sliver sliver overlord / the first sliver for the cascade effeckt ! And for lol of it sliver legion.

  • Neat idea for a article, but that AI image used at 19:46 soured it.. I know just using it in the background seems harmless, but the more people use them casually, the more normalized it gets, and at that point you are actively harming efforts to fight it. I’d like to ask that you please refuse to give free advertising to this unethical technology, thank you.

  • I feel like most of the rules should work on the opposite, like the mtg player in match up has 30 hp cause hearthstone cards are design for it, the heartstone player should attack and the mtg player should block, the mtg player should get to attack with targets, again because cards in hs are design for this.

  • Yeah this is unfair do to heart stone attack creatures and mgt not play that way for the most part ! Shut had played with slivers ! And used crystsline slivers ! Hesrt stone cant attack slivers do to cant be target ! So can they ? 🤔 hesrt stone attack creatures ! Crystaline says ! Immun to ability and magic ! So can they be target ?
