  • The Who is one of the only bands where every single member were great at their craft. Pete’s riffs, vocals, and iconic lyrics voiced a generation, Roger’s voice was the embodiment of early rock, John’s fingers moved like lightning across his electric bass, and Moon the Loon whacked the skins like a drunken sailor. The Who is a crazy disorganized work of beautiful art.

  • Best song off best live album EVER. I bought this album in spring of 1970. I was 17 and junior in HS. When my mom wasn’t home I would put LAL on our big all-in-one stereo console at FULL VOLUME and make my neighbors suffer!!!! There is no “punk rock” band that could even carry the guitar cases of The Who….The Alpha Males of live rock!!!!

  • now it was 1971 and my dad bought a 69 mercury grand marquis from his bosses son. the car was bee u tiful. it was red with the white landua top and white leather interior. total class. it had all the bells and whistles including the the high tech 8 track stereo player. included in the purchase was a lone 8 track tape. (i just couldn’t believe it was accidentally left). we plugged it in and were blown away. wore the tape out. the sound was intense for a 9 year old. best live album all time!

  • THE WHO são o grau máximo do rock’n”roll, o grau máximo do hard rock, o grau máximo do rock progressivo e o grau máximo da ópera rock! Só ouço the who há mais de quarenta anos, e não canso de ouvir…. é a melhor banda de rock de todos os tempos, aliás: é a única banda de rock que eu gosto!!!! Comparo o THE WHO como um “compressor ” (“KOMPRESSOR”): esmagou todas as outras bandas do planeta.

  • =at the end of my generation when pete says “this is certainly the nicest thing that ever happened to us….” mankind should thank peter townsend for returning the favor…. live at leeds has got to be in the top five greatest things ever… the way babies smell…. puppies…. dodge challengers…. jessica alba…… live at leeds…. not necessarily in that order but you get the idea…
