To link your MagicBand on the My Disney Experience App, follow these steps:
- Open the app and log in to your account.
- Navigate to the Account Page.
- Click “Link to Account”…

If you purchased your MagicBand+ online at shopDisney or at a retail location, follow these steps to link it to your My Disney account. Power up your MagicBand+ by pressing the button on the back, in the lower right corner. Tap your band to the My Disney Experience account.
Once your MagicBand is listed as “active” in the MagicBands section of your My Disney Experience account, it can be used for your new Walt Disney. Follow the instructions in the app to link the MagicBand+ to your account, assign it to a Guest, and pair it to your mobile device.
To link new reservations or tickets to a Magic Band, log into the My Disney Experience App or open a web browser. Power up the band by pressing the button on the back (only press it once).
For linking tickets, you’ll need the serial number on the back of the card or the confirmation number from the email. On the linking page, you can choose to link MagicBands, Tickets, or even resort and dining reservations.
If your old MagicBand was purchased but never linked to your account, use this Linking Tool to link your MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account. You can have magic bands reassigned either by calling the phone number for customer service 939-4357 or by seeing a cast member at guest services.
In the Disney app, under your information is the MagicBand+ tile. Click that to show your MagicBand+ for yourself. Go into the MDE app, click on your profile and then on “magic bands and cards”.
Old magic bands cannot be re-linked. However, you can factory reset the band with a single press of the button on the back, followed quickly by holding down on the button on the back of the MagicBand.

How to unlink MagicBand?
To deactivate a Disney Band or MagicBand, log into your online My Disney Experience account and select My Disney Bands and Cards. Manage MagicBands or Cards and find your name to view all linked MagicBands. Deactivate the one you want to use and follow the prompts. Remember to reactivate it if you plan to use it in the future. How to restart MagicBand?
In the event that your MagicBand+ persists in exhibiting malfunction, it is recommended that you attempt a factory reset. To do so, press and hold the button for a period of fifteen seconds. Following the emission of three vibratory signals, the MagicBand+ will emit a glow of rainbow colors, thereby indicating that the device is undergoing a restart sequence.
How do I reconnect my MagicBand?
Factory reset your MagicBand+ by pressing the button on the back and holding down for 15 seconds. The band should glow a rainbow of colors, indicating that it is now resetting. If you have paired the MagicBand+ with another device before, you must complete this step. Go to your Bluetooth connections list on your phone and find the MagicBand+ with a name like MagicBand+ A12B. Forget this connection.
Restart your phone and press and hold the button on the back of the MagicBand+ for 3-4 seconds until the blue LEDs come on signaling it is in pairing mode. Open MDE and go into the MagicBand+ section. The button that usually says RECONNECT for your MagicBand+ will now say PAIR. Click PAIR and the band should connect and be functioning within seconds. If the button still says RECONNECT, delete the MDE app and reinstall it to clear the cache.
Re-pairing the MagicBand+ is what works the trick. Most online troubleshooting steps focus solely on letting the device try to reconnect constantly, which tends to fail. Re-pairing it is what does the trick.

If turned off, the LED light turns red and rotates once in reverse. Press and hold the button for one second to power it back on.
