📹 How to use a cylinder lock
I just got a storage unit and it has this exact same setup. My question is how secure are the cylinder locks and is there a way to put a secondary lock through that hole on the locking bar? That wouldn’t do anything right because the bar is going to slide back and forth no matter what as long as the cylinder is out?
As a lock smith please do not lose your keys because you will get charged hundreds of dollars because these are not easy to get out they have to be drilled and if you get a lock smith with little to no Experience dealing with these he was sheer off the locking pins and you will never get that thing out then it will be costing you thousands of dollars so just make sure you do not lose your keys or damage them just a tip to try to save you guys some money
I think they changed their locks in two years or the garages have different circle locks. Tried for 20 mins, wouldn’t fit. They are closed since I have a flight in the early hours and I might miss my flight and have to convince a friend to come out here to put a lock on it. So pissed, fuck extra storage space
