Switching Spells: What Are They Hogwarts Mystery: Harry Potter?

In the Harry Potter series, a stance is a key element in the game. It involves choosing a stance and your classmate will do the same. The stance you choose will either win or lose against your opponent’s stance. If you win, you get to cast your spell or execute an action.

Switching spells are a sub-division of Transformation that allows you to switch two different objects simultaneously. They are used to make them look like each other. A common mistake people make is believing that a Switch is a transfiguration spell. However, it is an intermediate spell learned in fourth and fifth years.

A Switch swaps a part of an object with parts of a second object, so that both objects take on physical traits of each other. This art of magically exchanging physical features between two targets can be accomplished with Switching Spells. It was studied in transfiguration classes by fifth-years and fourth-years respectively during the 1988-1989 and 1994-1995 school years.

To assign spells to slots, press the respective key to open the spell selection dialog. The “T” key may be the key for assigning spells to slots. The Weird Sisters side quest is a Yr2 achievement that supposedly triggers in Yr 2 Chap 5.
