How p2w is MTG Arena?
Magic Arena offers a significant advantage in terms of access to more cards, as the free-to-play starting card pool is limited. Obtaining the right cards can be time-consuming, so paying for wildcards allows instant access to a competitive deck. However, it is not possible to rely solely on free packs and daily rewards for collecting cards. The metagame changes with each new Standard Magic set, forcing players to reevaluate and rebuild their decks.
This gives a limited window for grinding out enough free wildcards to create a competitive deck and use it before the game completely changes. To maintain a competitive deck and play with it for as long as possible before a new set is released, paying for wildcards is necessary.
