The Orlando Magic won the first pick in the 1993 NBA draft Lottery, despite barely missing the playoffs and having the least chance of gaining the top draft pick. Prior to the draft, Guokas stepped down as head coach, and Brian Hill was promoted to become the Magic’s second head coach. The Magic selected Chris Webber but traded him to the Golden State Warriors for the number three pick, Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, and three future first-round draft picks. With O’Neal and Hardaway, the Magic became a dominant team in the NBA, compiling the first 50 win season in franchise history with a 50-32 record.

Who was better Larry or Magic?

Magic’s regular season stats are impressive but not significantly different from Larry Bird’s, with Bird scoring 24. 3 points, 10 rebounds, and 6. 3 assists per game. However, Magic’s playoff stats are better, with Magic delivering one more assist and picking 0. 5 more rebounds per game. This performance is why he has two more championships over Bird.

Bird, a conventional small forward, was a tall player who played closer to the rim, focused on rebounding, and rarely dribbled. Magic, on the other hand, revolutionized the point guard position and the game itself. He was a tall all-around point guard who handled the ball with great talent, passing it perfectly, taking it to the rim, and rebounding. Magic also transformed the game from a solid half-court game to one played on a full court, on the run, and above the rim.

Bird played with a group of players whose collective talent was no match for Magic’s teammates, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, a No. 1 draft pick, three-time NBA champion, and one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history.

  • My opinion on the Magic-Cavaliers series. Game 1-Magic Game 2-Cavaliers Game 3-Magic Game 4-Magic Game 5-Cavaliers Game 6-Magic Please note that I am a fan of the Magic but I’m just thinking about what would happen. I do know that this is not probably not going to happen so don’t put comments that I hate the Cavaliers ’cause i do have respect for them and other teams.

  • The Magic are primarily a shooting team by design… with Dwight Howard drawing double-teams all game long, you’ve got Turkoglu, Lewis, Reddick, Bogans, Nelson, Pietrus, etc… all camping the three point line and they can all shoot it at a relatively high percentage. The Magic have a chance to do some damage in the post season this season… Watch out for Cleveland this year though, and Boston’s not going away any time soon…

  • gooooooooo magic!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the official orlando magic son: magic, you are my life, all i ask is 4 u 2 win today, magic you are my life all i ask u is 2 be champion, and go go go blue, blue, go go go, put some balls into this game, we want to see some threes, in this game, go go go blue blue, go go go, but some balls into this game, we will b champions today!!!

  • He’s probably really insecure about his life so he lashes out on you to feel better about himself. It’s not his fault, what he really wants is for you to be his friend and accept him and love him even with all of his faults. Hes cold, lonley, mad at the world and everyone in it. He blames society for his own incompetence. We call these guys “lobsters” a hard outter shell, but soft on the inside. He puts up a hard front to hide his obvious pain, if anything, you should pitty him.

  • ya mo williams and delonte are good too. but the wizards do not suck, they just have crappy luck with injuries. you should pay attention before you say dumbcrap things like that. the wizards will have a good shot at going deep in the playoffs if theyr all healthy. when they are, theyr better than the magic. especially if we do trade with the thunder for the third pick and ricky rubio and since agent zeros becoming more of a teamate

  • i say MAGICS win game – 1 MAGICS win game – 2 MAGICS win game – 3 MAGICS win game – 4 cavs say it wasn’t fair so the give them another chance, by eraseing game 1 MAGICS win game – 5 MAGICS win game – 6 and then MAGICS let them win the last game. (game – 7) NUGGETS beat the lakers and face MAGICs for the real dream series
