The Reason Why The Cali Sun Root Chakra?

The root chakra is the foundation of our energy system, providing stability and grounding. It is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the earth element. The root chakra governs our sense of security, safety, and being rooted in ourselves. It relates to our basic physical requirements, such as food, drink, shelter, and safety, as well as our fundamental emotional needs.

The Earth’s corresponding root chakra is the majestic Mount Shasta volcano in California’s Cascades Range. Healing stones are a common tool used to activate, balance, and cleanse the root chakra. As the first of seven centers in the body’s energy system, the root chakra controls the functioning of various organs, including the skeleton bones, kidneys, colon, adrenal glands, bladder, and arterials.

The root chakra promotes a feeling of heat and a connectedness to the earth. The red chakra, located at the base of the spine, promotes a feeling of heat and a connection to the earth. The root chakra is born under Saturn rule and represents general mental and physical well-being.

Earth Chakras, also known as Global Chakras, are powerful Energy Vortexes located at various points across the globe. The solar plexus or yellow chakra correlates with sunshine and happiness. Balancing the root chakra adds some sunshine to one’s life while aiding in overall well-being.

In summary, the root chakra is the link between our energy and the earth, allowing us to anchor ourselves and connect to the Earth’s life force. By practicing these practices, we can unblock our root chakra and experience a more balanced and harmonious life.

Mount Shasta, a mountain in Northern California, USA, with an elevation of 15, 000 feet, is the location of the root chakra.

Which is the strongest chakra?

The crown chakra, situated at the vertex of the cranium, is regarded by some as the most potent of the chakras, as it serves as a conduit between the individual and higher states of consciousness and spirituality. Despite its subjective nature and the variability in reported experiences among individuals, this chakra is widely acknowledged for its pivotal role in spiritual and psychic development.

Why is Mt. Shasta spiritual?

Mount Shasta is a sacred mountain in Native American culture, believed to be the center of the universe and home to the Creator. It is flanked by American Indian tribes like the Wintu, Achomawi, Atsugewi, and Modoc. The Wintu Tribe trace their origins back to a sacred spring on the mountain, performing sacred ceremonies every August. The I AM Activity Religious Movement originated in the 1930s when Guy Ballard, a business executive, encountered a mysterious figure while hiking on Mount Shasta and claimed to have in-depth spiritual experiences with this being.

What is the reason for root chakra?

The Root Chakra is a vital energy system that connects our energetic system to the physical world, providing motivation for eating, sleeping, and procreation. It also aids in developing personal integrity, self-esteem, and a sense of belonging. When these energies are stagnant, imbalanced, or blocked, our vitality and zest for life can be compromised. This can occur when our sense of belonging is threatened or experienced as traumatic, leading to feelings of insecurity.

Imbalance in life force energy in the Root Chakra can lead to feelings of restlessness, anxiety, worry, panic, depression, frustration, resentment, anger/rage, and a lack of interest in the world or survival. Symptoms may include feeling threatened, feeling unfit, insecurity, low self-esteem, poor focus, disorganization, pessimism, negative thinking, and narrow thinking.

Why is MT Shasta the root chakra?

Mount Shasta, a 15, 000-foot-high mountain in Northern California, is considered the root chakra of the world and the base of the Earth’s energy system. It is home to the Shasta, Wintu, Achumawi, Atsugewi, and Modoc Native American tribes and is deeply rooted in tribal myths and legends. The mountain is believed to have hidden caves and passageways, and the Modoc believe it was created by the Great Spirit Skell, who lived on Mount Mazama in Oregon.

The eruption of Mount Mazama, resulting in Crater Lake, is considered a resting place of evil by the Modoc, while Mount Shasta is a place of light. Visitors to Mount Shasta often encounter ascended masters and other spiritual beings, and it is a center for modern nondenominational worship. Additionally, visitors often see Bigfoot, a species found throughout North America, but only on Mount Shasta where it has been seen to levitate, disappear, and pass through solid objects.

Which chakra is ruled by sun?

The sixth chakra, the Agnya, is located in the forehead and is ruled by the Sun. It contains the ego and our conditionings, while the Sun forms our character and sense of being based on the sign “I”. The Sun’s sign signifies our stage of evolution and life lessons. Our ego creates various identities, such as family, education, friends, and worldview. However, when the Agnya chakra opens, our ego and conditionings no longer rule us. We perceive our spirit, a deeper identity within us, and start establishing humility and the pure spirit within us.

The dominant energy of the Sun can lead to dominance, conceit, and egoistical behavior. The sixth chakra is blocked by vanity, which makes us feel superior to others. However, forgiveness dawns as we feel the pure spirit within everyone.

What makes Mount Shasta unique?

Mount Shasta, a high-threat volcano in the United States, can release volcanic ash, pyroclastic flows, or dacite and andesite lava. Its deposits can be found under small towns and have an explosive history. The worst-case scenario for an eruption is a large pyroclastic flow, similar to the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens. The United States Geological Survey rates Mount Shasta as a very high-threat volcano.

The summer climbing season runs from late April to October, with winter routes becoming the most traveled to avoid avalanche danger. Mount Shasta is also a popular destination for backcountry skiing, with many routes accessible to experienced skiers and numerous lower-angled areas around its base.

What is the rarest chakra type?

Wind Release is a rare nature transformation that allows individuals to cut through anything. It is often associated with the Bird hand seal and can be channeled into Chakra Blades, making them sharper and more powerful. It can be exhaled from the user’s mouth or generated with their hands for precision strikes. Wind Release can be further enhanced by compressing or layering different wind streams together. It can also launch particles into the air, creating dust clouds or sand storms.

Naruto Uzumaki adds Wind Release to the Rasengan for throwing it, as seen in its Rasenshuriken variant. Temari, a Sunagakure ninja, generates wind by waving her Giant Folding Fan at targets, which Kamatari rides to slice opponents apart. Despite its rarity, the wind nature is common in Sunagakure ninja forces, with the practice of using fans to create wind being a recurring trait among their forces.

How to repair root chakra?

Shaktidas posits that straightforward practices such as walking in nature and gardening can facilitate the unblocking of the root chakra. Christensen proposes that one may achieve this connection with the physical body through the practice of yoga, Pilates, dance, or outdoor activities. The practice of yoga asana, when combined with conscious breathing, represents a highly effective and dynamic approach to working with the root chakra. Another method for establishing a connection with the root chakra is through footwork.

  • I’m an introvert on vacation with 40 friends in a beautiful house and grounds in Wales. I just did this on the grass surrounded by oak trees and incredible views and it was the most beautiful and grounding practice I’ve ever done. Thank you so much for all you do, Kassandra. I’ve been doing your short morning classes every day for 2 years now. I’m so appreciative for the difference you’ve made in my life. Sending so much love. Namaste 🙏❤️

  • With all the nonsense in the world right now a grounding practice sounds necessary . The cares of the world and how it seeks to oppress us wants to destroy our roots and carry us away with its every wind of doctrine . But I choose to stay planted and grounded in the Lord. I will def be doing this practice today . Thanks kassandra meditation ❤

  • picturing the “red gem” guided me through this entire practice. I can’t begin to explain how helpful visualization techniques are in finding peace, strength and serenity. I am truly grateful for you and your articles. My favorite are the chakra ones, particularly the solar plexus practice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Namaste Kassandra

  • Thanks so much Kassandra! A friend recently introduced me to your website. I have tried off and on for years to connect to yoga but find typically crowded classes overwhelming, distracting and intimidating. I did my first article with you 11 days ago and have practiced everyday since. I have finally found the connection I have been hoping for and I am feeling so good!

Благодарю ❤ VERY VERY WELL. И хоть йога на английском, мне он очень близок, но я все поняла. This is the best yoga. I’m like a spinner all day after it, filled with energy, joy, happiness. I have to sit and do desk work and I dance and jump and sit in lotus pose every 15 minutes🙂 I had my chakra closed about 6 years ago, I became stunted, no energy with no meaning in life. Although there is someone to live for. And now I’m waking up. I’m starting to live in the here and now. My daily practice. Thank you ❤ VERY VERY WELL. And even though yoga is in English, it’s very close to me, but I get it all.

  • Loved this! I am very much a beginner, started yoga of any kind with your articles a few months ago and this was challenging but super rewarding. I’ll definitely be coming back to this. I have all the typical nerd issues, carpal tunnel starting, super inflexible, slightly rounded shoulders and it’s been so nice to work on all those issues while still getting a good workout.

  • Thank you. Yesterday and today I was feeling a little more depressed than I have in awhile. I wanted to seek out a chakra yoga class and this practice left me feeling grounded and more energized. It helped me to give myself grace for the difficult emotions I’ve been experiencing and also gently sweeping under a rug. This root practice unearthed some necessary things.

  • Wonderful class today. Really enjoyed the sun salutations with closed eyes. Sun salutations are not my favorite, but doing them with my eyes closed made them that much more interesting. Very glad you have gone back yo ending your articles with a chant of om. I did that anyway, even when you just asked us to take a deep breath instead. Love practicing with you!

  • Thank you so much for this one, Kassandra, and for all that you do, truly. It’s hard for me to show up and do the yoga these days. But this simple practice really gave me so much, touched me, and showed me where I’m hurting and where I need to be more gentle with myself. I especially loved the eyes closed sun salutations, and the mantra All Is Well, I Am Safe. What a gift, Kassandra, I am so thankful to you <3 Big hugs, yoga goddess.

  • I really enjoyed this one. First time following a themed chakra practice, and I loved it. Think I enjoyed this more than some others in the series when previewed, as this has great pace and flowed smoothly, not too slow, and not full vinyasa speed, it was just right. Beautifully Simple in nature, relaxing and calming both for the body and the mind. Think I’ll redo this one a lot. As always, didn’t want it to end, and wished it was longer 😜 beautiful class. As always, Thanks Kassandra. 🙏

  • This was lovely! I just finished 30 minutes of this on my deck. The wind is blowing. The sun is shining this morning. It’s 59 degrees but it feels warmer. I need this yoga and this mantra even without factoring in covid-19, so Thank you Kassandra for creating this for us. The strawberry on top was that my five year old daughter just came and found me outside to say Good morning. She said that it’s loud out here so I drew her attention to the wind. Then she began to tell me that the trees don’t fall down because of their roots. Their roots spread all throughout the dirt and it makes them stable. Now that was confirmation for me that I am safe and grounded… even when the “bad” wind blows. 🖤

  • What a wonderful class, I loved working with the chakra. I think we all needed some grounding and to reconnect to the Earth in these troubled times. I feel calm and so rested. I loved Dancer’s Pose in there, a pose that makes me feel so accomplished and beautiful when I manage to not fall out of the pose 😉 Chair with a twist was great too. I am so happy to see how much I’m progressing with you. Thank you Kassandra! Namasté from Spain

  • Great class! I needed this one and good intuition on your part in feeling and hearing this is what we needed collectively. I feel more grounded. I love the OM chant at the end, it helped to ground, calm, centre, connect to self and Source and solidify the practice. I would love to see classes for the other chakras again to help re-balance our individual energy and our collective energy, they have been thrown off and unbalanced through this time. I am going to do the chakra meditation, a nice one to do after this class. Would you consider doing separate meditations for each chakra, even just 5-10 minutes? Thank you Kassandra for all that you do. Have a wonderful day. Namaste.

  • This was an amazing surprise for me. I’ve been practicing yoga with you since lockdown came into my hometown but usually i’m more incline to do flexibility flows or 10 mins vids. I just saw this vid pop up and thought: ‘why not?’ by the time i finished sitting my first thought was: ‘woah, this really made me feel relaxed and at peace.’ So thank you so much for this class, you really have helped me go through all this madness.

  • Hi Kassandra! Thank you for this class. I always enjoy so much following you along for my home yoga session. I’ve got a question regarding staff pose : should I round my back to make my hands reach the ground or should I keep it straight even though it means only my fingertips are touching? It feels like my arms are too short for this pose 😩
