📹 Nepal High Altitude: Everest Base Camp Trekking (Ep 3)
In this episode, Watch Out When Climbing to EVEREST Base Camp (Trekking Ep 3), things are about to get serious. We’re not just …
I have been blessed to be brought up by an engaged, hard working, loving, Great Man for a Father. My Parents have been married for 40+ years, and they both worked hard so I could go to Christian school. Both my parents continue to be there for me and I think its important to include my Father, even though he worked constantly, was my brother (6 years older) and I’s Boy Scout leader. I witnessed him share his love of life and outdoors with my pal’s. I feel almost guilty stating this, please know I am not gloating, my heart goes out to all who have suffered from the missing love of the Father. My Mother’s father had left her and three siblings when she, the oldest, was five. When I was younger it was very foreign to me to see my buddies who were looking up to my Father. As I got older I began to understand and see a trend, I could only have sympathy not empathy and for that I am blessed. Now I am surrounded by a society where it is so common I am a minority and I am now a Father and get more each day as I have to recall what my Father would have done and what Jesus taught as I decide each situation faced as a Father. perusal this brought tears to my eyes, as the day my daughter was born, my brain and life changed. I live in world where a Father is there half the time under agreement and I see what impact that has on the Mother and Sister. This very sad story has such a powerful message and the Great Father who shares his story honors his Father with forgiveness. Letting others know they are not alone, it’s never too late, and a powerful reminder for each Father to reexamine the context of what it means to honestly be “Dad”.
So glad you filmed this important message. I have lived through a lack of an emotionally present Father and a husband who also abandon his children. Currently I am writing a book on domestic violence and know how much a Father is the missing part of the equation. The world has made Family unimportant. But restoration of both Gender roles are so important. Praying and hoping men realize they are so vital to their children.
BINGO! I still have my dad in my life. But he’s not there physically. He married another woman, leaving my mother. Now I’m in student loan debt because of a decision based off of just one person (my mother – and it wasn’t/isn’t her fault). Only if he were there to balance out the decision making. It sucks.
I cried. Having been abandoned by my dad as a very young child, and other “father wounds” growing up it touched a part of me that still is tender – even after the forgiveness flows from the throne of grace and binds up the wounds… the scars are still there (… and I’m nearly 60!) I have come to know THE Father, and am so blessed to have an Abba who loves me with an everlasting love, still there are time when I wonder “what might my life have been like if I had had an earthly dad who loved me unconditionally? “
Just the opening scene alone got me where you said to your dad it’s cloudy and he ignored you brought back painful memories of a father that was physically but emotionally void. I was explaining to a friend how uncomfortable it was to go with him in alone. I told her it was like riding with a stranger. I corrected myself and thought if I was driving a stranger I would talk to them and make them feel comfortable. It was dead silent and uncomfortable, hurtful. I was complimented only once but he attached an insult to it. God Bless You and all the people your passion for healing and forgiveness will help. I love you …I use to wonder if he knew he was dying of cancer he would tell me he loved me. Sadly that happened yrs later and my answer was no.
Feb 4, 2017 at 52 years old I meet my dad for the first time…it was a happy moment for me and I thank God for answered prayers…I was a foster child but God watched over me and gave me two wonderful parents who raised me and made me who I am today. I know the seed from my mother and father was planted and yes as a child I always wondered why God had let me grow up not knowing them at the age of 38 I meet my mother I didnt ask question as to why cause it wouldnt have change nothing, I know it hurt her also not to see me grow up and miss my childhood, so we have a relationship now and that is all that matters. God had a plan..and it all work out the way He wanted it to, you see the parents that raised me didnt have any chldren and I was there to bring them joy just as they where there to bring me joy…we cant change the past and it did not dictate my future. I know this did effect my children because I never had told them that I was a foster child, I told my chilldren to be the best father and mother to your chlldren and love them and train them up in the Word….It was the strength from God’s word that help me to forgive even before I meet my mother and father….yes..children need loving and God fearing parents. Mothers and fathers
I understand these stories, I have a SON, but his MOM is a hiporcrit and won’t let MY past GO even know she is just as guilty as me for mistakes. I love my SON but his MOM don’t believe that JESUS can change a person’s life IN an instant. a lot of other dad’s out there are going through the same thing. It’s ashame that people make the kids suffer over there personal problems. Parents need to stop involving the kids IN there relationship problems. THEY use kids AS a pawn to get child support and still won’t let you see your kids. This is sad that adults make the kids suffer over there personal feelings towards the other person. The Bible says you must forgive to be forgiven. GOD BLESS

Hi Jack and Sophia! It’s been a long time and I’ve been meaning to catch up with you guys. I’ve been your subscriber since you started the website. I’m a 71-year-old solo avid Asia traveler and just love it there. I watched your proposal to Sophia . I cried as I was so touched by this and to see how happy Sophia was. I’m flying to Nepal for the first time in october. I am so psyched about seeing and visiting Mount Everest. I don’t think I could ever do the trek like you did because of my age and the oxygen levels which concerns me but I found out about a helicopter tour of 5 hours that stops a couple of places including at the Everest View Hotel and so I’m really looking forward to doing that for a once in a lifetime bucket list experience! I’m so happy you guys made it back safe and sound
Congratulations 🎊 Jack and Sophia, You both are a amazing young couple, Sophia I liked when you said that the God that made the mountain is the God protecting you.I truly believe that when you put your faith and trust in God.and you put your trust in each other. Anything is possible, Safe travels and much love to you both, From Northern California ❤️
