Donnie from Custom Inground Pools explains how to program a Sta-Rite variable speed pool pump, which is identical to the Pentair SuperFlo VS pump. To start programming, ensure the system is off by disconnecting the main circuit to the pump. Before servicing the pump, switch off power to the pump by disconnecting the main circuit.
The pump’s “start/stop” button is located near the Sta-Rite logo in the bottom left-hand corner. Press the Start/Stop button to stop the pump and turn off the pump circuit breaker at the main panel. Drain the pump by removing the drain plugs.
If a Sta-Rite variable pool pump fails to turn on, it may be an inground pool. To turn the system on manually, press the ON button once to switch the SR Series and the pool pump on. The SR Series will default back to AUTO and turn on. Always disconnect power to the pool pump at the circuit breaker from the pump.
Seat the clamp and lid on the pump and turn clockwise until the handles are in place. For more information, contact Donnie at 831-7133 or visit the Pentair STA-RITE owner’s manual.
