Conspiracy theorists, who believe the Moon landing didn’t occur, claim that NASA staged the event. They argue that shadows in Moon landing photos and Neil Armstrong’s preserved space suit don’t match the footprint pictured on the Moon. The Apollo 11 mission put humans on the Moon for the first time on July 20, 1969, but some conspiracy theorists believe the entire landing was fake.
Mount landing conspiracy theories claim that some or all elements of the Apollo program and the associated Moon landings were hoaxes staged by NASA, possibly with the aid of other organizations. The most notable conspiracy theory is that NASA faked the lunar landings, as depicted in the new Apple Original film “Fly Me to the Moon”. Doubters also claim that the US government, desperate to beat the Russians in the space race, faked the lunar landings, with Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin acting out their actions.
There are six common Apollo 11 Moonlanding conspiracy theories and how to debunk them. Claims the Apollo 11 mission was staged began soon after astronauts first set foot on the moon in 1969. On 20 July 1969, Eagle, the lunar module of the Apollo 11 mission, landed on the Moon, and American astronaut Neil Armstrong took “one giant step forward”. However, every single argument claiming that NASA faked the Moon landings has been discredited.

A lot of people missed the point of this article. Even with the most modern technology (of 7 years ago) it was still obvious which was the rendered photo and which was real. Now imagine doing this using 1960s technology, they simply would not have the resources to fake it. Also to anyone who’s still skeptical, there are literally images from satellites around the moon that show the landers on the lunar surface.
This doesn’t really debunk the conspiracy. It simply explains that there are reasons why it could be real from 3 simple points. Explain why there was no dust clouds when the module landed. No crater underneath the module. A lot of weight on that machine which would need quite a bit of thrust to land and take off which would create a lot of dust.
