He did but thats not what granted them independence, it brought awareness. “India House in London set up by Shyamjikrihan Verma, a disciple of Swami Dayanand, produced revolutionaries like Veer Sawarkar, Hardyal, Bhagat Singh, Madan Lal Dhingra, Udham Singh etc. who created a sense of fear amongst the Britishers about the safety of their lives through a violent revolution.”
“without the police we have no saftey. Rules are there to protect us, though some constrict us” People should protect people. When did being a good samaritan become so hard to fathom? Law enforcement is necessary to an extent. But what America really needs is a solid, non corrupt judicial system. Not these 10000’s of bills and statutes with underlying oppression. “He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither” Benjamin Franklin
@BenWat17 I’m more worried about police brutality or getting arrested on a trumped up charge than a robber. Plus, you’ve probably never been robbed if you actually think the cops will be any help. My apartment was robbed, breaking and entering. The police couldn’t do shit. Unless you live in a small town, that’s the norm and not the exception.
@MrAlexSamson A decent answer….. But I can take counter that with when Georgia (The country not State) fired all police The countries crime Decreased dramaticlly, Police if left unchecked, get to much power Thats why a periodic check is required (Checks and Balances) Anyways apart from that could ya’ll check out my music, just click my name, and see my music Rate comment hate, do whatevs Much appreciated thx ya’ll
let me try word it this way. the problem with today’s rioting is that it’s too impulsive and badly planned. while the government enhanced their rioting suppressing means: logistics, equipment and comprehensive training, regulations giving them freedom to use brutality and force to scare people away… we’re outstripped at every point even tho rioters always outnumber by far the riot squads. we need new approaches, modern, to make us more fit to fight back. if not severe repression is ahead.
um no, the iceland revolution was not peaceful. people actually rioted day and night, charged on government buildings and even resorted to vandalism prompting swift action from authorities which later led to arrests of the responsible parties and a shift in policies which favoured people rather than corporations and financial cartels. iceland is an unusual anomaly, a healthy one at that!
Although I applaud sages diversity of his music, his article isn’t supposed to be interpreted as “fuck the police” it’s more a message that we shouldn’t give up on our beliefs. It makes me sad to see comments like that, without the police we have no saftey. Rules are there to protect us, though some contrict us. Stop being ignorant and think for a minute, that if the Police weren’t there our society would fall appart. stop being silly
