The concept of deification is a significant aspect of various religious traditions, including Greek hero-cults dating back to the 8th century BC, Ancient Rome, and the Orthodox Church of Christ. Deification is possible through the uncreated energies of God, and it is a gift from God. In ancient Egyptian deification, individuals sought divine access and assurance of eternal life. The Holy Fathers believe that within the Church, man can achieve deification (gr. theosis).
Theosis is the Eastern Orthodox doctrine of becoming gods by grace through Christ, which differs from Mormonism and New Age beliefs. This path involves self-deification and embracing the forbidden to attain personal power and autonomy. However, the journey may be dark, but it is in the shadows that true seduction occurs.
In Western esotericism, there are two opposing approaches to magic: left-hand path and right-hand path. Witchcraft is considered “low” magic, as opposed to “high” magic. Divination and “hedge-crossing” are also aspects of this path.

Honestly, you really should do both. Going too far in one extreme will lead to very bad things. People who are way too far on the right will tip the scales off balance in the direction of love and light. This makes people susceptible to being abused. How many women have been abused in these circles by false gurus? It also holds them back from progress. This extreme spirituality will distract you from your goals. Going too far to the left tips the scales the other way. This leads people to become abusive and manipulative. I mean, look at levay. He was a known con artist who abused his first partner. Crowley was known to abuse both men and women. Because so many con men reside on the left, this also opens you up to abuse. Again, look at all of the teenage girls being seduced by older men in these circles. When are us older witches going to stand up to this csa? Because of the extreme drive for personal gain, your desires get out of control. This leads to one of two things. Either you become so drunk with power that you no longer care for others, or you become so desperate for power that you are easily grifted by those drunk on power. Both extremes are also know to cause mental health problems. The right hand extreme has been shown in studies to cause depression and anxiety. In fact, meditation causes 30% of people to have anxiety. On the other side, the extreme left hand will cause maladaptive traits, such as the dark triad. You are messing with things much greater than you, and if you don’t stay balanced and keep your wits about you, you just might lose your head.

It’s astonishing how well your descriptions of LHP fits left-hemisphere (service to self) and RHP fits right hemisphere (service to the whole) and the importance of integrative balance between them. Ya, I never really wanted to eat (god) OR be eaten, I would rather appreciate than worship, I read the bible, I dont think all that slavish praise was doing (Yah, El, etc..) any favors. A brief personable conversation with the Ocean, a knowing jab from Lady Eris at just the right time in just the right place, the peace of the night, for all she hides, still lets me sleep and dream and find those things I went and hid from myself. Also, it ocurred to me a while ago that every human is kinda the (god) of their own universal body.. So I thought, why not start doing (god) stuff, I have the nerve to be critical, perhaps I think I can do better???? Betters a relative term of course, I can say that I am having a wonderful time, moreso than I ever thought possible. A word of caution though, one thing I had not anticipated was the way some spirits can be so totally offended by sometimes you wont even know what… Thats the point where I really feel the weakness in my ignorance, I learn more every day but some mistakes end up pretty heavy. As a Medium and Witch. I am often put in a dichotomy and asked to be in Spiritualist church’s and centres to work as Medium.. I always ask that somebody else do ‘their religious’ part and I simply turn up to do the demonstration of mediumship. I am or on the right handed path so the way I deal with things is to simply change the energy of words… I often wonder about . Lol i still go back home and cleans my own space.. I was raised with Scottish and Irish parents and omani (Gypsy) Grandma. I have combined a number of paths as it suits my soul. I heard different views about cleansing my space and ‘returning’ anything I see as negative. It a part of the left handed path many say, but it works for. Seen many thoughts about this cleansing of space and has me wondering left or right path?

It seems to me that this definition would place magick (making changing reality in accordance with one’s will) is “left-hand,” while mysticism (union with the Cosmic Mind), is “right-hand.” They’re “flip sides of the same coin,” and according to the “Old Crow,” lead to the same place. I think I’m into BOTH.
One of the dangers of the New Age occult is that one has to have a balance ⚖️ by choosing the negative, evil or demonic way. That is an unfortunate mistake which has led to many too many tragedies. Take it from a crone. I would NEVER tell the younger generation that they have to use both paths in order to be “balanced”. The opposite may happen. Totally disagree when the Left Hand path is sugar coated.
