In astrology, the concept of quadrant house systems is used to group houses into quarters by the Medium Coeli and Imum Coeli (midheaven or MC and IC) axis and the Ascendant and Descendant axis. These lines form the cusps of the first, second, and third houses. The hemisphere above the horizon is divided into two quadrants: quadrant 1 for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd houses, and quadrant 2 for the 4th, 5th houses.
The true art of astrology lies in synthesizing all these elements, including house divisions. Quadrant house systems, also known as unequal house systems, divide houses by four points: Ascendant, Nadir (Imum Coeli), Descendant, and Midheaven (Medium Coeli). The meridian, the point where the fixed north-south axis or meridian intersects the ecliptic, is used to determine the degree of each house.
Quadrant house systems are the most complex and nuanced method of house division, with various systems such as Placidus, Koch, Porphyry, and Alcabitius slightly shifting where a house starts and ends. They represent focal points or main areas of focus in our lifetime. The natal chart is the whole cake, and the quadrants are four pieces of the cake.
Houses are divided into four quadrants, each containing three houses. The quadrants represent different stages of life and areas of focus. The first quadrant includes houses 1-3, the second quadrant includes houses 4-6, and the third quadrant includes houses 7-9. The fourth quadrant is the last house of each quadrant of the zodiac.
In summary, quadrant house systems are a complex and nuanced method of house division that helps us understand our lives and the aspects of our lives.

How do you read 4 quadrants?
Quadrants are used in graphs to explain the position of a point on the coordinate plane. Quadrant I contains positive values of x and y, while quadrant II has negative x-coordinates and positive y-coordinates. Quadrant III has both negative coordinates and positive x-coordinates, and quadrant IV has positive x but negative y-coordinates. The x and y-axes divide the plane into four graph quadrants, named I, II, III, and IV. Each quadrant is different based on the position and symbol of the x and y-coordinates. The use of quadrants in graphs is crucial for understanding the position of a point on the coordinate plane.
Which of the house is most powerful?
The Lok Sabha, a directly elected body, holds more powers than the Rajya Sabha due to its ability to criticize the government of India and exercise more powers in money matters. The Rajya Sabha, on the other hand, is not directly elected by the people of India and has more powers in money matters. It can only criticize the government but cannot remove it, as the Constitution believes that the people are the ultimate authority. The Council of Ministers is responsible only to the Lok Sabha.
The Rajya Sabha cannot amend, reject, or initiate money bills, but can suggest changes in laws that can be accepted or rejected by the Lok Sabha. Ordinary laws must be passed in both Lok and Rajya Sabha, and if there is a difference of opinion regarding a law, the final decision is taken through a joint session. However, the views of the Lok Sabha are likely to prevail due to the superiority in numbers in the Lok Sabha. In other spheres, both Lok and Rajya Sabha can be considered co-equal.
Which house is rich in astrology?
The Parasari School of Hindu astrology identifies the 2nd house or bhava, which is associated with earning and accumulation of wealth, and the 5th and 9th bhavas, which are the abodes of Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. The inter-relationship between these wealth-giving bhavas and their respective lords ensures wealth and prosperity. Planets simultaneously owning two wealth-giving bhavas become prime indicators of wealth, with the strongest indicator being the one that owns both the 2nd and 11th bhavas. Dhana yogas depend on the lord of the 2nd who determines wealth, with income being judged from the 11th, gains through speculation from the 5th, and sudden unexpected gains from the 9th bhava.
Hindu astrology considers the 2nd house as the house of accumulated wealth and the 11th as the house of gains. Dhana yogas arise when the lords of the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 11th bhavas mutually associate, but only when they connect with the lagna can more significant results be seen. Parashara has paid extraordinary attention to the 5th and 9th bhavas in Dhana yoga formations, such as Venus in the 5th in own house and Mars in the lagna, Mercury in the 5th in own house and the Moon, Mars and Jupiter in the 11th, The Sun in the 5th in Leo and the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn in the 11th, Jupiter in the 5th in own sign and Mercury situated in the 11th, Mars in the 5th in own sign and Venus in the 11th, and Moon in the 5th in own house and Saturn in the 11th.

What does a four house mean?
A four house can provide a solid foundation for life, as it has a grounded energy and is associated with Mother Earth. This energy is ideal for those who struggle with physical work and manifest ideas into reality. A four house can also be a great space for starting a new business or relationship, as it emanates organized and productive vibrations. However, it is important for occupants to balance work and playtime to avoid overworking themselves.
A five house stimulates movement and activity, embodied by activity, change, travel, and adventure. The most energetic of all numbers, five, signifies change coming into one’s life or globally. The combination of numbers 555 on a digital clock signifies change on the planet.
What is the difference between whole house and Placidus?
The Placidus house division method is based on the concept of time and space, which results in unequal house sizes. In contrast, the whole sign method assigns each house to an entire zodiac sign, which affects house interpretations and astrological analysis.
Which house system is most accurate in astrology?
The equal house system divides the ecliptic into twelve 30 degree divisions, with houses measured in 30 degree increments starting from the degree of the ascendant. This system is more accurate and less distorting in higher latitudes, especially above 60 degrees, than the Placidean and other quadrant house systems. The definition of houses involves the division of the sphere into twelve equal lunes perpendicular to a fundamental plane, with the Morinus and Regiomontanus systems being notable exceptions.
Houses are measured out in 30 degree increments starting from the longitude of the midheaven, which acts as the starting point of the 10th house. The ascendant does not coincide with the cusp for the 1st house.
What is the strongest house in astrology?
The angular houses in the chart are the most powerful, while succedent houses, less powerful but more powerful than the cadent houses, have a quality similar to the angular houses. The second house, which succeeds the first house of the body and personality, signifies the things that belong to the person, while the eighth house, following the seventh house of the partner or spouse, represents the belongings of the other person. Succedent houses have a stable, unchanging, fixed quality, deriving from their central position in each quadrant of the chart.
While some houses have malefic or weak connotations, they are productive houses where matters normally take root and flourish, such as possessions or children. The second house signifies the possessions of the person or event for which the chart was cast, and this meaning has persisted unchanged for several thousand years. Modern astrologers may perceive a correspondence between the second house and the sign Taurus, but traditional astrologers did not. Hellenistic astrologers considered the second house the “Gate of Hades”, leading to the houses beneath the horizon of the chart.

I have planets in the 1st quadrant (moon, ascendant in gemini, chiron, jupiter in cancer-1st house), 2nd quadrant(pluto 5th house in scorpio, mars 6th house in sagittarius) and 3rd quadrant(neptune, saturn, uranus, mercury, sun in capricorn-8th house, venus and north node in aquarius-9th house), nothing in the 4th 😂 I can say my saturn return felt a kick in my mouth haha
All my big planets (which are either in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th) and chiron (chiron is in 1st house in Libra since I am a Libra Rising as well) are in the northern hemisphere and my lilith (which is in the 10th house and in Cancer) is the only significant placement in the southern hemisphere, and I am almost a complete hermit. And most of these planets are in the 2nd quadrant (so the northern hemisphere and western hemisphere) since I have both a 4th house (Jupiter, Neptune, and Sun in Capricorn) and 5th house (Uranus, Mercury, Mars in Aquarius) stellium. Pluto and Moon are in Sagittarius and the 3rd House and Venus and Saturn are in Pisces and the 6th House. I mainly use whole sign since it is simpler and more accurate in my experience than Placidus is in my experience.
WOW!!! You are AMAZING!!! I’ve been fascinated with astrology since I was about 8. I have read so many books & had tons of readings. I have tried & tried to understand it with very little success. You explained MORE about astrology & ‘Me’ in 10 min than in literally decades of reading!! (I’m 56!) Most of my planets are in 10, 11&12. Explains Soooo Much!!! Thank you!!!! Can’t wait to learn more!!!! I’m very grateful to have found you!!!! 💛✨🌞🦁♌
Thank you for this! I just watched it … I have 4 planets each in houses 5 & 11, and 1 each in Houses 1 (Lilith), 6,7,8 and 10. “Nothing” in houses 2,3,4,9 and 12. Some aha’s … 1st Quadrant next to nothing (just Lilith, in Gemini – and not exactly sure what all she brings. Has several aspects to others!) … very interesting at any rate, and gives some relief — no surprise that I often don’t know what I think or value … not so bothered by what beliefs we share… communication in relationships is very important (mercury-capricorn-8th house)… etc. <3 thank you
All my planets are in my 1, 2, 3, 5th, and Uranus just barely in the 12th at the ascendent. Yea, I am not a big believer in society, or even marriage. LOL. I do have flashes of clairaudience, clairsentience, and websiteing (especially when a friend has a stroke, heart attack, hanging suicide attempt, etc), so I tend to feel more connected to the dead than the living sometimes, even though I do look good, make a good living doing what I want- just mostly on my own and with select friends and a high level of freedom.
