What Astrological Signs Are Repeated?

What is the rarest zodiac?

Ophiuchus, the ‘Serpent-bearer’, is sometimes suggested in sidereal astrology as a 13th astrological sign in addition to the 12 signs of the tropical zodiac. The constellation Ophiuchus is located behind the Sun from November 29 to December 18. The idea of a 13-sign zodiac originated in 1970 with Steven Schmidt’s suggestion of a 14-sign zodiac, including Cetus as a sign. Walter Berg and Mark Yazaki promulgated a 13-sign zodiac in 1995, which gained popularity in Japan, where Ophiuchus is known as Hebitsukai-za.

However, in sidereal and tropical astrology, a 12-sign zodiac is based on dividing the ecliptic into 12 equal parts, rather than the IAU constellation boundaries. Astrological signs do not correspond to their namesakes, especially in the tropical system where divisions are fixed relative to the equinox.

What are double star signs?

A double Scorpio is an individual who has two planets in the same sign. For example, a person may have the Sun and Mars in the Scorpio sign, indicating a dual nature.

What are intercepted signs in a house?

Intercepted signs refer to the fact that in horoscopes for northern or southern latitudes, two out of the 12 houses are not evenly spaced at 30 degrees apart. This results in two out of the 12 signs getting swallowed up inside two opposing houses, causing two other signs to govern two houses instead of one.

Over the years, research on interceptions has not covered the subject thoroughly. Some writers believed that intercepted signs had to do with past lives, but the source and mechanics of this information are not well understood. Others suggested that intercepted signs were related to suppressed qualities in an individual, making it difficult for them to express in a positive way.

In recent years, an explanation for interceptions has been found that the nature of the signs indicates that the client’s early life was influenced by a family problem and that they played second fiddle to it. This resulted in the child feeling uncomfortable in situations where the original problem became an issue, leading to overcompensation or a lack of understanding about how to address it.

In summary, intercepted signs can have significant implications for a client’s life and career, as they can indicate a family problem that the client may have struggled with and may overcompensate for.

What are double bodied signs in astrology?

The four double-bodied signs: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, are associated with multipotentiality and have a plural quality. These signs correspond to the sections of the sky where the Sun lives during seasonal changes, such as Gemini in June, which marks the transition between spring and summer in the northern hemisphere and fall and winter in the southern hemisphere. Even if we don’t have planets in double-bodied signs, we all have these four signs in our birth chart, and the houses these mutable signs correspond to will tell us about the locations in our lives where we need variety.

What is it called when you have 3 of the same signs in your chart?

In astrology, a stellium is defined as the conjunction of three or more planets in a single zodiac sign or house within an individual’s birth chart. However, astrological interpretations extend beyond the delineation of individual zodiac signs. This is because a single house or sign does not fully encapsulate an individual’s entire persona.

What is it called when you are two signs?

Being a cusp sign is not limited to Aquarius and Pisces, but there are cusp periods for every pair of zodiacs, including Aquarius/Pisces, Pisces/Aries, Aries/Taurus, Taurus/Gemini, Gemini/Cancer, Cancer/Leo, Leo/Virgo, Virgo/Libra, Libra/Scorpio, Scorpio/Sagittarius, Sagittarius/Capricorn, and Capricorn/Aquarius. Cusps are not considered’seasons’, as it is debated whether it is possible to be a cusp individual.

People often view cusps as “pick me” behavior, claiming they have the energy of both signs. However, cusps are not an exact 50-50 of two signs, but rather a combination of the sun’s energy from one sign.

Pisces, the last zodiac wheel sign, is known for being emotionally aware and constantly creating and imagining. Despite being stereotyped as closing off from the world and constantly crying, Pisces are believed to be dancing around in fields and avoiding the horrors of the world around them. Overall, cusps are possible but not to the extent that people believe they can be an exact 50-50 of two signs.

Are people born on cusps special?

Individuals born on the cusp of a sign often believe they possess traits and characteristics of both zodiac signs, resulting in a unique blend of astrological energy. This phenomenon is attributed to the individual’s proximity to the cusp, which allows for a blending of traits from both signs.

What is the rarest birth chart?

The Grand Cross, or Grand Square, is a rare natal chart aspect in astrology where four personal planets are separated by 90 degrees on the birth chart, forming a square shape and cross. Each of the four elements of astrology is represented in this cross, with all signs sharing the same modality. The Grand Cross’s energy is conflicting due to the tense and oppositional square aspect, which can create difficulties for the native. This is particularly relevant for those in the Angular, Cadent, or Succedent Houses, as squares and oppositions can create difficulties in finding love.

What does an interception mean in astrology?

In astrology, an intercepted house is a house that is greater than 30 degrees and can accommodate an entire sign. The sign is wholly encompassed by the house, precluding the appearance of its initial and final degrees on the house cusps. This results in the entire sign being subsumed by the house.

Can you have multiple signs in one house?

In the absence of a specified alternative, the default system is Placidus, which presents multiple signs within the context of the houses but applies a single rule to each house.

  • What a coincidence, i have the same case like your dog, 1st and 7th intercepted in pisces and virgo. And I am a dog in chinese horoscope. What you said is true, only now in my 37 I am getting to be truly aware of my place in the whole picture. Second thing, I had only one relationship in my life 13 years ago, precisely with virgo girl, it lasted only for few months, and we had nothing in common, it was cold. There are other things, like mixing reality and imagination into delusion, since the moon is in my pisces and badly aspected with neptune, also had problems in expressing my emotions to others.

  • Abby mentioned that the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th house cusp are considered very prominent. I have planets in all of those houses, except for the 7th house. Astrologers use to tell me that I would be extremely successful in my career, because of Mars in the 10th house, which also conjunct my Midheaven. But, I wouldn’t be successful in marriage relationship because of Aquarius on the 7th house cusp. But, I think that those astrologers were very wrong. Because if I would have focused more on relationship first, I would have had a very successful career. Because one thing I noticed about myself is I liked being associated with the man I am involved with. Especially if I am sharing his last name.

  • My duplicates are directly followed by my interceptions. My ascendant became more of a mask that I wore for everyone else because I wasn’t allowed to explore my true self, but also with that never could figure out who that true self was. The other side of that is that I lost myself in servitude to others, and was never allowed to, and therefore capable of, being in service to myself. Thank you for all of this fleshed out insight. 💜

  • I love this! I find my interceptions so funny or curious they were very cleverly thought out lol. I have Leo intercepted in the 9th house (sun, moon, merc rx, Venus) & Aquarius intercepted in the 3rd (Saturn) BUT the kicker is my duplications are in Aries in the 5th/6th & libra in the 11th/12th lol. I feel like my natal chart is a game of real life Portal (the article game) full of loopholes and very clever. I’m sure you see the irony(?) lol.

  • Menina nina! I didn’t realize what your name was when I clicked on this article. I just am an astrologer who is still learning and I need to learn this part but this is one of those times where the universe is hitting me in the face. What an awesome synchronicity! My nickname was Menina at my old job. My duplicates are aries in my 6th and 7th and libra in my 1st and 12th.

  • You were giving me strong Virgo vibes all the time and I was never able to quite grasp why, I was like ‘what’s wrong with my intuition???’ lmao I’m glad I wasn’t completely wrong and there was a reason behind that! By the way, thank you so much for this series, it was super helpful! I went from knowing nothing about interceptions (I don’t have any! One of the few positive things about my chart) to feeling much more confident about including them in my readings (all for fun of course – I’m still a noob haha).

  • I love this series so much! I have Scorpio intercepted in the 5th house (Venus, Mars, and Juno, don’t know if south node counts because it’s in Sagittarius) & Taurus intercepted in the 11th house. However though, I have Leo duplicated in the 2nd & 3rd house and Aquarius duplicated in the 8th & 9th house (moon, Uranus, Neptune, Pallas, chart ruler, and chart signature). I have so much Aquarian energy lol😂

  • I have a stellium in Scorpio intercepted in my 6th house. My sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto and north node are there. My south node is intercepted in Taurus in the 12th house. I have cancer duplicated in my 2nd and 3rd house. I also have Capricorn duplicated in my 8th and 9th house. My moon is in my 3rd house and Uranus and Neptune are in my 8th house.

  • Marvellous series about Interceptions, thank you so much! Well, I have Scorpio intercepted in the 4th and Taurus intercepted in the 10th. I have Duplicated Leo (1st and 2nd) and Aquarius (7th and 8th). I wish it would be the way that I have amazing self-confidence, but…Unfortunately, I work hard to build it. Perhaps, it is because my Sun (ruler of Leo, who is supposed to help me:) together with Mercury, Pluto and Venus are in the intercepted Scorp in 4th 🙂 Would you have any advise for this situation? Should I try to enhance more the Aquarian/Uranus energy of my chart, to compensate? (not feeling neither like a Leo rising, nor attracted to Aquarian partners, by the way:) Also, as much as I seek stability and classical things, seems hard to have 🙂

  • Hmmm.. I think I’m understanding this, however, I have Duplicate Leo + Aquarius, with duplicate 1/2 Houses in Leo + duplicate 7/8 Houses in Aquarius. I have Gemini and Sagittarius (in 5/11 Houses) but missing 4/10 Scorpio/ Taurus, respectively. It seems to skip a modality to stay within the modality effected, in my case Fixed. The irony, though, is that my Virgo 2H and Pisces 8H are empty.

  • What if your duplicates are both in detriment and/or fallen? As well as opposing/squaring inner planets? Like sun, moon, mercury, Saturn, and Mars? I have a total of 12 squares. Both my Saturn and Mars are in bad spots and are the weak links of all placements. Which is where they make up for the lack of Capricorn/Cancer in Aries/Libra. Identity/purpose/drive has been a lifelong issue so I don’t relate to anything really I don’t have the drive/work ethic of Aries or Capricorn nor do I flourish in relationships or social settings like Libra/cancer. I have a stellium in the 3H sun, moon, mercury all in Capricorn. Yay. So, where do I fit where do I go from here? This was really helpful I’ve been binging your articles tfs!

  • What happens when the ruler of the duplicated sign is intercepted? Does that energy become less accessible? I have my moon intercepted and cancer duplicated. I also wondered why I struggled with being emotionally vulnerable and nurturing despite having 2 cancer placements but now i’m starting to think it’s because of my intercepted moon
