What Does Astrology’S Venus Return Mean?

Venus Return Astrology is a unique phenomenon in astrology where Venus completes a full cycle around the Sun, returning to the same sign and degree as it was at the time of an individual’s birth. This celestial event occurs roughly once a year, and can be charted and interpreted just like a solar or Saturn return. The Venus Return chart is drawn for the exact time when transiting Venus conjuncts Venus in the natal chart. This occurs every 11 months or so when Venus transits your natal Venus sign.

Your Venus Return chart can hint at future events in the areas of your life that this planet rules, such as love, affection, possessions, beauty, and aesthetics. It affects love and money, as it is the place to look for transits, progressions, and eclipses to your natal Venus sign. A Venus Return chart is basically a birth chart for your current transits, with Venus given the kind of focus you would give to the Sun or Moon.

Venus returns are like your cosmic beauty makeover, as they are a vibe check for your love life. Venus makes a return to its Natal position in your birth chart once every year, and the events on the day before, during, and after the exact return are very telling. Venus returns happen roughly every 2 years at a maximum (unless there is a retrograde, then it could be about 11 months that you undergo the return).

In conclusion, Venus Return Astrology is a fascinating aspect of astrological exploration that holds immense significance for individuals. It allows us to get back to basics when it comes to self-love and care, and helps us forecast the upcoming year in terms of social events, contacts, love life, and financial aspects.

What does Venus return mean in astrology?

Venus return, an astrological event that occurs annually, can provide insight into future events in areas of life ruled by Venus, such as love, affection, possessions, beauty, and aesthetics. It can also alert individuals to opportunities for new relationships or social growth. Astrologer Kimberly Peta Dewhirst calls it “beauty birthday” and suggests that it can make individuals feel happier by encouraging them to shop, pamper themselves, or flirt with casual crushes.

Dewhirst calls it an opportunity to wear rose-tinted glasses and let aesthetic tastes guide choices. To track Venus’ movements, one can use an ephemeris, a day-by-day table of all planetary activity. To determine the exact date of Venus’ return, some sites offer help. Dewhirst recommends monitoring its approach on PlanetWatcher once one knows their natal Venus placement. Overall, Venus return is a significant astrological event that can provide valuable insights into personal growth and relationships.

What is a strong Venus placement?

Venus is a sign that represents kindness, charm, and a desire for peace. It influences how we appreciate beauty in art, nature, and people. When Venus’s energy is good, it helps attract love and beauty, encouraging us to be nice, graceful, and fair in our relationships. Conversely, when Venus is not good, it can cause jealousy, shallowness, and overindulgence.

Venus’s placement in the zodiac signs reflects its loving and beautiful energy. For instance, in Taurus, Venus is strong and steady, enjoying comfort, beauty, and loyalty. In Libra, Venus is all about balance and relationships, charming, fair, and good at maintaining peace. In Aries, Venus is passionate and direct, seeking excitement but may act impulsively. In Pisces, Venus is dreamy and caring, romantic, understanding, and often artistic.

The birth chart of Venus indicates its strongest energy. In the First House, Venus makes a person attractive and charming, while in the Fifth House, it brings creativity and romance. In the Seventh House, Venus focuses on partnerships and marriage, seeking harmony and equality.

Venus retrogrades every 18 months, a time to reflect on relationships and values. Understanding Venus helps us handle relationships and enjoy the good things in life with ease and grace.

Which house is weak for Venus?

Venus, the planet of love, affection, and emotions, is believed to be favourable in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 12th houses, affecting positively. Conversely, it is unfavorable in the first, sixth, or ninth houses, leading to negative consequences in life. In an unfavorable position, Venus can cause arguments, problems in love relationships, and challenges in marriage. It also affects emotional management, leading to harmful behavior and self-harm. However, many cures have been developed to help those with Venus in the wrong house, eradicating all life’s consequences.

How does Venus return work?

How does Venus return work?

Venous return refers to the flow of blood from the periphery back to the right atrium, which is equal to cardiac output except for a few seconds. Understanding the venous side of circulation has been challenging due to its complex characteristics. Guyton recognized the importance of determining the role of both mean systemic pressure and right atrial pressure in controlling venous return, but measuring both accurately proved difficult.

Mean systemic pressure can only be measured when pressures throughout the systemic circulation have come to equilibrium after the heart has stopped beating. Guyton and his coworkers developed techniques to temporarily stop the heart while blood is mechanically pumped rapidly through an arterial to venous shunt to bring arterial and venous pressures to equilibrium in less than 7 seconds. They found that this technique could be repeated many times without affecting the value of mean systemic pressure.

To analyze the effects of changes in right atrial pressure on venous return, they developed a preparation in which outflow could be augmented by mechanically pumping from the atrium through an extracorporal shunt into the pulmonary artery or through a heart lung bypass machine to the aorta. By varying the rate of flow around the atrium, they were able to reduce right atrial pressure in a controlled manner while measuring cardiac output in the systemic circulation, from which they knew the value of venous return.

How can I improve my Venus return?

Your doctor may suggest regular exercise to improve circulation and tone muscles in your legs, which can pump blood towards the heart. Strengthening your calf and thigh muscles can also improve blood flow. Elevate your legs by placing them on a footstool and avoiding crossing them when sitting. Avoid tight clothing and high heels, as they can restrict blood flow in the legs and increase the risk of chronic venous insufficiency. Your NYU Langone doctor may recommend wearing shoes with a low heel to prevent these issues.

  • Thank you Lada! Love your articles. I have been single for 3 years, so I especially paid attention to my VR (02/09/18)for this year. It was quite amazing. I had a massage, nice dinner and attended a fantastic party with girlfriends. The most spectacular thing that happened though was I double parked my car in front of someone’s drive way by accident and they left me a note that said, ” You are Loved” with hearts. How incredible omen is that? Especially with your mention of cars lol. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience and thank you again!!🙏❤️❤️

  • I love that you did this on one of those ski-slope type things, I would be afraid of dropping the camera! On my last Venus return, my husband and I went out to eat. We both had good food but he drank and I didn’t (so I was the designated driver) and I did end up taking on the majority of the responsibility in the relationship from there. I have another one coming up soon since my Venus is at 5 degrees Virgo. On my husband’s most recent Venus return, I had already left him, but he called me angry and was being very selfish. So that was a big decision that he made on that day, and it determined that we are definitely getting a divorce. Anyway, great article!

  • Today is my Venus return. After dropping my daughter off at school, on my commute to work I literally got run off the road by someone who was completely oblivious to my presence in the lane they were merging into. If I hadn’t run myself off the road we would have collided. The work day felt like a year. Picking up my children I learned my son had an accident with another student resulting in my son having a fat lip, bruised top gum and painful front tooth. Found out the item an bought my daughter she took to school. After sever time of telling her to return the item back home (about two weeks) come to find out someone has stolen it. Took my kids to dinner and my son was acting completely ungrateful and had the biggest attitude! This is my year ahead? 😫😫😫

  • uh.. confusing.. i recently had my Venus return but i wasnt aware of it.. Tho.. now i suddenly realize that i tattooed myself that day. “I love to love you” on the innerside of my handpalm.. could it be my subconcious telling me something than? symbolism? .. I dont remember anything else of what has happened around that day.

  • I’m uncertain when my transit happened this year, but next year it will be Jan 2015. I have Venus in Aquarius in the 4th house. So far with this transit, my marriage hit a rough spot (I feel a bit detached and unsettled). My husband bought a new car. We also went on our first family vacation to Jamaica (some of the best food I ever had in my life!). Would all this be Venus Return related? Great vid Lada 🙂

  • Hi Lada! On my venus return I’ll be separated from by boyfriend because he’ll be away on holidays (the trip was planned before we met as it is a recent relationship). Does this means we’ll be constantly away and I’ll be longing for him in the next year ??? I hope not my love life has been so difficult already because of my natal venus square saturn and opposite Neptune!! Please say there’s hope for the year to me in spite of this bad omen on my venus return! Thanks

  • My venus is in Taurus, my return is happening in 19th of May and there is a trine with Moon in 2nd (ruler my 12th house) the onl aspect in my radix. I do not really know, what to expect… I am Taurus Sun as well in 1st degree… My love is on a good way because I got engaged nearly 2 years ago…and I am getting married this November… but I really do not have time to spend some nice day with my fiance just because we work hard and we just can not have the same day off 😀 The other side of it is… that my Venus is in 10th the same like my Sun… and it in positive relationship Moon in house of material things.. so I could expect some Money… but I generally expect career proceed after long long time waiting for offices that suppose to give me document which allows me to do my job I studied (I moved abroad nearly one year ago)… So what to expect… So many benefit planets to my right now from Virgo, Capricorn… and Uranus is sitting right now 2nd time on my MC…. and nothing really happened… just my 30s 😀

  • HI Lada, I love your You Tubes! I need to share with you, that when I went to the site to the Vedic Astrology Chart Calculator, that there is a column of dates under Vimshottari MahaDasa, where the years are not readable – it looks like they are overwritten – doubled up with two different numbers. I see that it looks this way on the screen and it looks this way when I print it out too. SO, I cannot read the year of my Venus Return. I don’t know how else I can find out the date of my Venus Return. Please Help Me. Thank you.

  • Hi I’m confused, the box under my personal chart called vimshottari antar dasa, has ra/ve 12-26-2013, then ra/su 12/7/16 and so on…. is this the one you mention on this article? so my venus is in Gemini R so that means is in my transit since 12/26/13- 12/26/14 ? I am Cancer ascendant Aries is Gemeni a good sign for venus? You are great!!!!, thanks Maggie
