Tara is believed to have sired Budha, the god of Mercury, through Chandra and had a son named Kacha through Brihaspati. Tara was the wife of Brihaspati, the guru of Devas, and felt ignored by him. One day, Chandra, the moon god, visited Brihaspati and was captivated by her beauty.

He used hypnosis on Tara, which made Brihaspati infuriated and demanded her return. Brihaspati was annoyed and warned Chandra for battle. Indra and other Devas gathered to fight a war, but Chandra was unwilling to give up. He sought help from the Asuras and their preceptor, Sukra, and was assisted by Shiva and his companions. Brahma, the creator god, stopped the war and convinced Chandra to return Tara.

Which god belongs to Jupiter?

Jupiter was considered the Roman equivalent of the Greek Zeus, with the Roman equivalents of Poseidon and Hades being Neptune and Pluto. Jupiter was believed to grant supremacy to the Romans due to their high honors towards him. He personified the divine authority of Rome’s highest offices, internal organization, and external relations. His image in the Republican and Imperial Capitol bore regalia associated with Rome’s ancient kings and the highest consular and Imperial honours.

Consuls swore their oaths of office in Jupiter’s name and honored him on the annual feriae of the Capitol in September. To thank him and secure his continued support, they sacrificed a white ox (bos mas) with gilded horns. A similar sacrificial offering was made by triumphal generals, who surrendered tokens of their victory at the feet of Jupiter’s statue in the Capitol. Some scholars view the triumphator as embodying Jupiter in the triumphal procession.

  • Just want to say thank you for all that you do and for sharing your knowledge. I’m a student of yours on Magha vedic astrology (I have all the courses!) and I have learnt so much in a way that it has changed my perspective on life. May you receive all the blessings to keep doing what you to best. Much love

  • wow.. i almost never comment but i have to. you don’t even know the level of hope you just gave me 😭 sometimes it can be just a sentence that grants one with the knowledge they need to know. just watched your recent live on mars.. about how the 8th aspect of mars is important. 8th from my mars is ketu in ashwini 🥲 intense transformation this year. so you mentioning in this article that jupiter will be in aries.. self made individual. you have no idea how important that is to me. thank you as always for sharing!!!

  • I have mars 12th from Jupiter and I was put up for adoption. I just found out a couple years ago who my parents were and then found out I have a brother who is five years younger than me that they kept. My mother was 14 when she got pregnant for me so adoption was the decision they made. It’s just now she won’t even give me a chance. I talk to my aunts and my brother but her and my grandmother don’t want to get to know me. I think they don’t want to face the reality of what happened but I told them it’s no hard feelings. My adopted family is very loving and caring tho and maybe without them I wouldn’t be how I am.

  • Greetings once again, Kapiel. My ascendant is in scorpio, in jyeshta nakshatra. I have jupiter conjunct mercury in the ascendant, in anuradha nakshatra. You also have mentioned that, 12th from saturn takes time. And my Saturn is in the 2nd house. During my younger years, I was the most shy individual ever. As I matured, I learned to speak up for myself. I was wondering why I hadn’t been more outgoing in life having mercury and jupiter in my ascendant. Well, my saturn placement explains part of it. Thanks again!😎

  • I find my spiritual life incredibly rich I have a lot of weird spiritual situations happen to me I find if I ask god for more spiritual knowledge it happens a book usely pops up out of no were . I have Ascendant Scorpio Sun Gemini Mercury Gemini Pisces Jupiter Pisces moon Cancer Venus Scorpio Pluto Mars Capricorn Neptune Capricorn Saturn Sagittarius Uranus Sagittarius

  • I have mars Saturn 12th from Jupiter in my 3rd house in kanya. I took care of my brother form birth, as we did not have mother. I paid for his education and everything. The day I was lost with issues in my marriage….when he went abroad from the day he booked his flight ticket he stopped talking to me. Just like that because it’s too much to handle my issues. So I can tell you every effort was from me irrespective of so many insults. I just won’t let go of him as he was also suffering with no parenting like me. It was my duty so I served him.

  • Hello Sir, regarding venus being 12th from jupiter actually makes jupiter strong as you said in your previous article about planets being 2nd from venus gets boost from venus and planets and house 12th from venus will not get support from venus. “The eye of shukra” article. So we need to research about venus 12th from jupiter in terms of support from spouse. I hope you’ll make article to teach us about this special position of jupiter and venus.Thank you sir for your knowledge !!

  • You are my guru from a far away place who jupiter brought me blessings from . I know you are in Texas but, well first I am from Nebraska and I am thinking of moving to Texas because they have religions other than Christianity there, but I am not sure because I need to make a lot of money also to help my kids – ( now I feel like you helped me even to make peace with Christianity because before I was really at war with it inside of myself) and also you brought teachings from India over here to the US. Also i really felt so lost before i started to learn this astrology… ooooh also i have jupiter In Mula in Sagittarius in the 12 house . ❤ it’s beside rahu in Capricorn and my career is connected with people from foreign lands and government but living here in the US. But yes I went to foreign lands to learn the skills that I have

  • I do know a family member whose Venus is 6th from jupiter, and his wife didn’t work outside of the home, and emotionally and physically she was cold and didn’t show affection – but she helped with his business a lot and with us kids a lot and was very hard working with cooking and cleaning and gardening but also the Venus was in Pisces ruled by Jupiter so this probably affected it even tho it was 6th from Jupiter, he was self – employed but I do remember him feeling very overwhelmed until he found God .

  • Please use my chart as study. I have some of the worst placements. I feel like they work against themselves. I don’t know were to start. SATURN in Cancer. MARS and Jupiter in Aries. Gemini Stillium. Uranus and Pluto in Libra. Neptune is Sagitarius. Taurus Ascendant. Never married. Infertile. Only child of mother and youngest. Mom sag/ dad a Taurus. He died when I was 21. Help

  • Hi, sorry for late response I saw this article today. Yes my Saturn and Mars are 12th from Jupiter and I have no help from my brother. My sisters and I were asked to sacrifice our education for brother, today he makes great fortune in foreign land but my parents make silly comparison of he being great though he spends not a penny on parents and us. While we take care of our duties towards parents and all 3 sisters are self made. But yet appreciation is only for brother 😂

  • I also have Saturn on my ascendant in purva ashada 12th from mercury. I feel this way like no matter the Saturn lessons I learn and implement in my life it’s like it’s still not enough. I couldn’t continue my college because I couldn’t pass algebra. I got a tutor and everything and still failed when I passed it in high school. I was honor student in high school. I went to college for free even. Very devastating for someone that age.

  • I don’t know what’s happening in my life anymore. I’ve let go by allowing my life to nose dive and burn. I don’t know what to do. I’m waiting for whatever to happen, to happen. I’m still working but I’m at the end of my career and life. Things are going wrong…really wrong. I don’t know what it is or how to fix it. Bank account is empty. Jupiter in Libra 2nd house.

  • Hi kapiel I dont get any help from my brothers infact not in touch at all since 15 years jupiter in lagna 12 house Saturn 5 house mars and sun.saw your article today.just wanted to say what you said is absolutely TRUE when Saturn is placed 12 from jupiter.scorpio lagna .thank you for sharing your deep rooted knowledge,🙏

  • 9:50 next year Jupiter will be moving into Mars-ruled Aries. Whether in birth chart or by transit, this placement can indicate a self-made person. Police, soldiers, male friends, brothers may come to your aid, to deliver blessings from above. However, because Aries is a barren sign and Rahu is already transiting it, this may cause a scarcity of crops wolrdwide. 15:10 Planets in trine positions (1st, 5th, 9th) from Jupiter will mitigate or influence its effects.

  • True for the Moon(in 9th in Rashi- 10th if I use whole signs) in 4th from Jupiter (in 6th – 7th if I use whole signs) – Mother didn’t/couldn’t help me, nor I had help from the father or any man in my life. But I have a very good partner now – I really don’t know how I landed him 😅 (Jupiter in Navamsa is in 4th H Taurus, 3rd if I use whole signs) 🔥❤️🦄

  • Man my Jupiter Mahadasha in my 12th house. Conjunct and hemmed in by Rahu and Mars. Opposing Sun, Moon (Solar eclipse), Mercury and Ketu in the 6th house. Kicked my arse. I must of been a terrible person in a past life. I look back now and realise the 12th house is like a portal to another dimension.

  • I have Jupiter in 8th house in Taurus, father Taurus. And I dont see any “blessings” coming in my life ever (bad house, and Michael Jackson had this too), except possibility of Jupiter saving me from deaths and the ability to still tolerate Saturn in 2nd house in mother sign and father – Jupiter 8th. “2nd house represents the family, it makes you argue, fight and disagree with people in your family if it is ill in your chart. The negative aspect of such a house can drain any person to death.” And I think because of Libra Asc and Saturn 2nd I don’t have big appetite with Jupiter in Taurus. 55:00

  • Sir, thank you for sharing supreme knowledge. I am a Sagittarius ascendant and my Jupiter is in Capricorn 2nd house with moon in it. My Saturn is in 11 house with Ketu. I work really hard to achieve anything in life. I feel sometimes that I am a misfit for this world. I like helping people selflessly. But in this materialistic world it gets difficult to survive. There is always a tug of war between my heart and my mind. How can get your consultation? 🙏

  • Oh I loved meeting you at the Graham retreat Kapiel ji. Would’ve loved to catch up some more if we had the chance. Hope I didn’t bother you too much.. it’s always nice to meet your heroes. ☺️ Btw my Jupiter is alone and retrograde in Gemini in the 5th house in D1, no wonder… And Ju Sa conjunct in 12th house in D9.

  • Im really get confused😂 because from my Jupiter 4th is 7th house 6th is 5th house and 8th house is 3rd house so im not getting support from husband, children and from siblings But from Jupiter mars in 5th house placed in aries sign mars represents siblings and opposite of Jupiter means 7th from Jupiter is moon and venus who is lord of 7th house and my Jupiter placed in magha nakshatra 10th house

  • Jupiter in aries ♈ in 10 house, self made exactly 👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪👏👍💪🙏🙏🌹🦄🙏🥳🥳😘🤩🥳🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏I m on my own since 17 Years old, nobodey of my FAMILY 💝 helped me, I had a stepfather mother and 2 stepsisters. Dont KNOW biological fahter. I had to do All on my own ………… 🌹🦄😘🤩🥳💝👏👑😂😅👀😇😭😰🤔😤🤯🤮🧐💃👯🕺👯💃🕺👀👑🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄

  • Yes, Sun in 4th house, Virgo is second house from Jupiter+Saturn+ Rahu, in Leo- work for a foreign government in Courts as an auditor( Saturn rules Ke in 9th, Aquarius). And yes for Mars as well, Mars in 12-th from Jupiter, no support from my young brother (Ju in 3-rd). What else a debilitated Mars in 12th from 3rd house indicates ? Thank you 🙏🏻

  • This is a wonderful article but what to do in a case if someone considers you as their Guru or I shall use the term a spiritual guide in order for understanding life more accurately but finds that his Guru or spiritual guide while making predictions for his readings ranging for Relationship, 2 careers and one for pending karma makes different different forecasts by interchanging the placements of planets in different readings or saying in one reading that you are going through this Dasha and in another saying you are not in this Dasha but with other Dasha, like for eg for Relationship reading I am going through Venus dasha till 2024 and same came for 1st career reading too but in later readings your Venus Dasha is yet to start🤣🤣🤣.But we dnt have any remedy to seek proper guidance or alteast to notify you that there are different things which you said in one article and the other in another.Anyhow! May God bless you🙏.Thanking you for giving a hope to fight.

  • So correct as in my D1 chart I have Jupiter mars in first house in Taurus always took help somewhere in my technical or in work but now I guess I have turned 32 and my navmaansha is activated or so as now I have mars in 10th house with rahu in Capricorn sign and Jupiter in 11th in Aquarius that means mars is 12th from Jupiter and now i rarely have bond or connect with my brother and even right now I am only turned into30s i guess in 40s navmaansha will be properly active and you right regarding no involvement of brother or even make friends help very rare compare to in my late 20s

  • KR Sir, can you please suggest if a native is born under Sagittarius Ascendant whereas Moon Ascendant is Taurus. Here native would be inclined and get blessings from which Guru.. Dev Guru or Daitya Guru Shukra? Which Guru would influence the native and what are those parameters would be from which one can know which Guru would be favourable for Native. Although both the Gurus are respected Guru but still just to conclude how to figure it out?

  • I have one question hope i receive a response if in natal chart Jupiter is in Taurus sign first house along with mars in kritika nakshatra and and my sun in Jupiter nakshatra in 10th house with rahu Venus so even in natal chart Jupiter indirectly connect with rahu through nakshtra as Jupiter in sun lord and sun in Jupiter lord nakshatra in navmaansha Jupiter is in Aquarius sign in 11th house that means he/she should move abroad for betterment as Aquarius Jupiter in navmaansha chart not in natal still abroad will be better compare to homeland bcz my gut always feel I can do better in abroad? But want a glimpse on this KRS? 😊

  • I have Jupiter and Retro Saturn in 1st house in tauras and mercury and venus in 5th house in virgo. I have huge amount of love for music but never got a chance to take it as my career . Trying to learn music at the age of 22. Don’t know if that would happen. Also I’m currently gng through venus mahadasha.

  • When the student is ready the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready the teacher will disappear. 🙏🏽 The Guru is your very own consciousness. When you meditate on your own existence and how you got here – you will understand that the world exists because you ARE. There is no Universe without you. Meditate on your own consciousness and you will find out that the Guru is within you and he will lead you to Sadguru (ultimate Truth/Supreme Reality)

  • Oh my God ….. u described my journey and meeting a Guru who was once as flawed and the one who has completely transformed …. Changing the routines, reading books, meditation, houses of worship, turning vegetarian …and all that. My Guru a topper in college like me, party goer … et all. YOU NAILED IT !!! Verbatim!!! Stay blessed

  • Gone are the days when the Gurus were actually the righteous people.Nowdays in todays world if an individual is able to make a decision that he needs to change himself then that means the guru/good thoughts were always with him in his soul and was waiting for some things to pass in life so the right path can be chosen .I believe it is all destined, unless the karmic debt is paid towards certain things the inner voice will not be heard by the soul, once karmic debts are paid the inner voice will take shape of a guru and a person goes in the right path.

  • The flow of events you described to find a guru is exactly what I been through in this journey. And when I tried to look up online, the first guru that popped up was you. Hence my journey of astrology began. And yes that led me to find so many gurus after. And all of them have similar theme to mine and they have excelled and come out of it 🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • I was going through the worst times mentally due to traumatic situations i asked the universe to teach me the meaning of life and bless my soul through a gurus blessing and then i got KRS website And my life changed SO THIS article IS 100 PERCENT TRUE WE LOVE YOU KRS Thankyou so much for the wisdom and beauty and perception that you give to the world.

  • i just discovered you. Namaste! Your explaining style drew me in taking time to study astrology (and exactly because of that impact 😊,I am sure you were made to cross my lifepath too, thank you so much Kapiel). I love your complex sense of humor, always sticking out its Rahu head😅 all over the place. Many blessings for your family, all people out there following you just like I do, your students, and why not, for the crickets I am hearing in the background. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and sharing all these meaningful material u put out there. (I’d add more emojis but I don’t want you to know too much about me)

  • Your right about gurus. I went to sadhguru ashram in Nashville for answers, a few other gurus too but I couldn’t relate to any. I wanted a simple man who believed only in love not intellect and lived a very humble and basic life and preached love and compassion. Then I found Maha Periyava who believed in love. Though I hated him this week for not releasing me form my sufferings, he did not give up on me. I got the words he wanted to say to me through you. Thanks a million for this article 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  • I understood you. I have jupiter sun mercury in virgo. I am attracted to Swami Vivekananda and I started following Swami Vivekananda’s ways reading him again and again after I lost my job due to bad health and I was searching for a new job. My struggle is that. And I didnot know much about Swami Vivekananda’s story indepth but more I started reading him I understood him, practiced his ways more I understood I understood myself better. Swami ji’s life as Narendranath Dutta has a beginning of struggle with getting income for his family. I understand that it is not me doing anything. It is material nature which embodies me has this core memory of all possible connections from past life. The energy, mental wavelength and the connection is there from past lives. He has been there from my past lives. He is my higher self not for this birth only but forever. That migration towards him was natural organic and was bound to happen. I do not feel I made any effort, it was Swami ji’s grace and Sri Sri Ramkrishna’s grace on me.

  • Took advice from article when you said make planet ascendant and give that planet a reading. Made my mahadasha lord Jupiter ascendant, everything is making sense. Moon in 10th libra in normal chart. Jupiter in lagna, then moon is in 5th libra. In article for this placement, you said aerospace/environment science ( what I’m trying to do right now). Thank you

  • All these exactly this way happened to me starting from 2021 and 2022 and it’s still going on, I was looking for Guru and I dint get then I started searching myself and I start meeting real Gurus and my lifestyle changed in last 2 years drastically. Jyotish can be best learnt being isolated from worldly matters as much as possible, it might sound impossible though ❤️

  • I am Virgo ascendant, I have Jupiter conjunct with ketu in 6th house aquarius. Jupiter is trine with moon in 10th house. Jupiter is in purvabhadrapada nakshatra pada 2 and ketu is in shathabhisha nakshatra pada 3. I’m going through Jupiter dasha and moon antara dasha now. I found you on YouTube during my Jupiter dasha- Venus anthardasha

  • 🙏✨ 💛🙏Right. Beautiful topic.💛🙏 Does that means that the KARMA needs to be exhausted as well… after all we come with BAGS of it. Because: In order to want JUPITER to appear in one’s life…. to change —- That desires to change —- That has to be in the kundli (?) Can you elaborate this? Or is it that after many practice one becomes one with Natural Laws? And one live the highest value aligned with the Kundli—- But even then THAT has to be presented in the Kundli (?) Wanna know 🙏🙈🐉😎🪷💛✨🌝🌞☸️

  • Hi Kapil.. I’m a Taurus ascendant, my 8th lord is Jupiter and he’s in 2nd House. In Navamsa he’s in 9th house along with Saturn as I’m Virgottam lagna and Virgottam Saturn. Saturn in Capricorn along with Rahu in 9th house. Rahu goes to Gemini in Navamsa. Tell me if I do Remedies to Jupiter, does he gonna trouble or make my Family Suffer? He’s troubling me during every Thursday’s I’m feeling very Nervous and I cannot do even a single work in Office. Mind will go on a Roller Coaster on every Thursday. I’ll be late to Office everyday. I don’t understand my mind is in lot of Chaos. Please answer. Kindly take some time for me Sir.

  • I can’t believe you posted this article. It’s unbelievable. Yesterday I did not want to do my guru pooja and I literally blasted at my guru yelling all this is bull shit. Only those who live for themselves are happy. Dharma and virtues are worthless. I had been trying to get a job since a year and actually wanted to know Thai morning what the heck should I change to get the blessings. I gave up on him. But he did not give up on me. My guru is with venus and Mercury in 7th house

  • Usually a Guru will have few or many Shishyas… Now every shishya will have Jupiter’s placement different than other.. So will the same Guru reflect differently for different person? As Guru is not a Person but a Higher Tattva.. And Guru n God Tattva are perceived differently by different people… Something like Jaa Ki Rahi Bhavna Jaisi, Prabhu Murat Dekhi Tinh Taisi…? 🙏🙏🙏 I’ve Jupiter in 7th H… Now 7th H is house of Marriage and dealing with Public… My Gurudev Dr Avadhoot Shivanand ji is a Married person living with wife n children but in a Sannyasi way… And He runs Shivyog that conducts Sadhna shivirs and many sadhna, yog stuffs thru mobile App… So Ge deals with Public too. He has thousands of disciples around the globe so as per everyone’s Jupiter’s placement, He’ll be resonating with everyone in different manner!?! 🙏

  • i had fun hanging with friends, drinking, going to bars, and being a young energetic guy in my teens and twenties, but than i took a 180 degree change of direction at 22 years old and switched over to a more spiritual, and religious isolated life and dropped basically all of my friends and the ways i use to be. I did this on my own and navigated myself because that’s how I am, but i think there needs to be more of a technical guide that is the real deal that cuts through the b.s of how to transition into spirituality and shows how to ascend into it if you choose. because It can be a difficult messed up journey if you don’t have a grip on certain aspects of your mind, know where you want to truly go in life, or are not aware of the negative aspects of things that can occur going down paths like this. So basically i think becoming spiritual should be taken with some caution and there needs to be more authentic curriculum on all the aspects of how to go in and transition into authentic spirituality. And that cuts through the garbage and false info out there on the subject of spirituality and gets only into the reality of it all.

  • There is no 1 definition of guru. A thief could be your best guru at right time who will teach you wisest lessons no Yogananda could teach. It’s not about materialistic form of guru. As your vibrations so is the guru… infact all entities be it partners, friend… you name it…. The moment you change your vibrations everything changes. Vibrations of anger will attract similar guru who will hit your ego hard… moment you raise your vibrations to neutrality or compassion or any other quantum emotion…. directed by your higher self…. You will thus attract that guru. And a stage comes when you become your own guru… like Dattatreya… Capricorn n Aquarius Saturn signs have higher possibilities of this depending on horoscope
