Undefined centers are areas in your human design chart that are not consistent with you as a consumer rather than a creator of energy. These centers, such as the Sacral Center, are responsible for pleasure, sexuality, and joy and are located below the navel at the pubic bone. They absorb and amplify energy and excitement, but may cause feelings of disappointment when energized.
The Sacral Authority is distinct in its occurrence exclusively in Generators or Manifesting Generators without a defined solar plexus. In Human Design, if the sacral center is white, it means you do not have consistent access to this energy. This can lead to bursts of energy, which is not sustainable in the long run. The wisdom lies in knowing when enough is enough and knowing what to pursue and when to rest and recharge.
People with undefined sacral centers are very receptive to others’ energies and can absorb and activate them. If the sacral center is white, the bodygraph in question is considered “non-sacral”. An undefined sacral center possesses boundless potential to experience life force and workforce energy, but it is not sustainable in the long run.
A defined Sacral Center can magnetize people towards them, while an undefined Sacral Center can adapt their energy levels to those around them. It is important to be aware of whether the pressure is yours or someone else’s. An undefined Sacral Center brings more openness and flexibility, allowing you to “try on” or borrow the energy of others.
In summary, undefined centers are areas in your human design chart that are not consistent with you as a consumer rather than a creator of energy. By understanding and aligning with these centers, you can gain wisdom about your workload and sexuality, ultimately leading to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Human Design Sacral Authority Explained & Simplified!! // This video will give you no-fluff info on the Human Design Sacral …
What blocks my sacral chakra?
A blocked sacral chakra can result from various factors such as stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, physical ailments, and unhealthy lifestyle habits. It is responsible for creativity, sexual pleasure, and sensuality and is located below the naval at the pubic bone. Chakras, which are energy centers in Hinduism and Buddhism, are different areas in the body where energy is concentrated. The term “chakra” translates to “wheel” or “circle” and corresponds to energy centers throughout the body. Balancing an overactive or blocked sacral chakra is crucial for overall well-being.
What emotion blocks the sacral chakra?
An imbalance in the sacral chakra can lead to negative behaviors such as depression, detachment, aggression, fear, anxiety, and poor boundaries. Physical symptoms such as anemia, hypoglycemia, lower back pain, joint problems, low energy, spleen and kidney issues, and premenstrual syndrome can also result from this imbalance. To address this, one should sit in a quiet room, with feet firmly on the floor and a tall spine. Close eyes, take deep breaths, and ask yourself questions about your second chakra. This will help you understand yourself and identify any blockages in your second chakra.
What does an unbalanced sacral chakra look like?
An imbalanced Sacral Chakra can lead to emotional disturbance, irritability, lack of creativity, and obsession with sexual thoughts, affecting health, lifestyle, relationships, and career. Health problems associated with a blockage of the Svadhisthana Chakra include chronic lower back pain, arthritis, sexual problems, hip issues, anemia, joint pain, low energy, spleen and kidney issues, and premenstrual syndrome.
Mentally and emotionally, one may feel over-dependent, overwhelmed by emotions, and struggle to express emotions, needs, and creativity. Restoring balance and releasing blockages from the Chakras can help alleviate these issues.
What happens when sacral chakra is not balanced?
The Sacral Chakra, or Svadhishthana Chakra, is the second energy center among the seven primary chakras and plays a crucial role in our well-being. It is associated with the element of water and the vibrant color orange. When blocked or imbalanced, it can cause emotional instability, leading to increased sensitivity or inability to connect with emotions. The Sacral Chakra is responsible for preserving and channeling pranic energy, which is life-force energy, in our astral body.
It is also linked to creativity, intuition, and sexual pleasure. To heal and balance the Sacral Chakra, one can use powerful yogic tools like yoga poses, chakra meditation, and positive affirmations. This guide will explore the defining characteristics of the Sacral Chakra, important signs and symptoms to look out for, and how to heal and balance it using these tools.
What unblocks the sacral chakra?
The sacral chakra may be unblocked through the practice of meditation, yoga, affirmation, and self-reflection. Furthermore, the sacral chakra can be balanced by addressing the following issues: detachment, isolation, anxiety, loneliness, low libido, and lack of creative inspiration. The consumption of foods believed to support reproductive health is thought to assist in balancing the sacral chakra, regardless of gender. However, there is currently no scientific evidence to substantiate this claim.

How do you fix a clogged sacral chakra?
Unblocking the sacral chakra involves re-engaging creative, sexual, and emotional energies and feeling at home in the body. Practices include meditation, yoga, affirmation, and self-reflection. How to repair your sacral chakra?
To restore balance in the second chakra, drink water, appreciate simple things, practice dance movement therapy, and practice body appreciation. The sacral chakra is where pleasure and connection to self lie. Fluidity is essential for movement and dance, allowing for new experiences and overall pleasure. As Fritz Perls says, “Lose your mind and come to your senses”. Anodea Judith emphasizes that without touch, behavior becomes senseless instead of sensible.
Which chakra holds trauma?
The root chakra is a fundamental energy center that is shaped by various events, including financial traumas, loss of home or land, and relocations. These traumas can lead to the belief that the world is dangerous and that we are victims of it. This can result in feelings of anxiety, a desire for a predictable life, and a lack of acceptance of life’s experiences.
However, all traumas are a root chakra phenomenon, and the unbalanced root chakra often harbors unrealistic hope that it will never undergo sudden and unpredictable changes. This accumulation of traumatic incidents can lead to a “no” to life, preventing us from fully embracing life’s experiences. This can sometimes lead to escapism and fantasy.
A significant portion of our mental turbulence is the result of untreated traumas stored in the root chakra. Unresolved memories can also transform into physical pains that spread throughout areas governed by the root chakra, such as legs, feet, and the muscular and skeletal systems. By addressing these root chakra traumas, we can better navigate life and navigate the challenges that come our way.
Which chakra holds PTSD?
The Sacral Chakra, linked to creativity and emotions, can be blocked by trauma, causing emotional numbness. Engaging in art, dance, or self-expression can rekindle this chakra’s fire. The Solar Plexus Chakra, our confidence realm, can be diminished by deep wounds and pain points caused by trauma. Practices of self-love, setting healthy boundaries, and empowering activities can reignite this chakra’s inner spark.
The Heart Chakra, governing love and compassion, can be reformed by engaging in connection with others, finding the value of interdependence, practicing gentleness, and engaging in heart-opening practices. These practices can lead to significant relational improvements and healing from trauma.
What does it mean to have an undefined sacral chakra?
The open/undefined sacral center is designed to absorb and amplify energy from those with a defined center, but only in short bursts, as it lacks consistent access to one’s own life-force energy.

I feel VERY disconnected from my “authority” and definitely have been for a long time… just a long history of overriding any gut feeling or instinct with over thinking. Now Im extremely indecisive … This article is so helpful to understand what the sacal authority is and for me to find confidence in trusting it and move away from people pleasing/lack of boundaries. Can you do a article with more detailed tips and questions people can use to practice using their authorities?
My daughter is a generator with sacral authority she always says uhhh all the time before answering questions she thinks a lot before answering or takes time opening up. I’ve been teaching her to feeling comfortable to say feel what’s truly on her mind, and also setting boundaries and saying no if she doesn’t feel comfortable.
I used to be hyper-analytical as an IT person (analyst and project manager) until I had my great awakening back in 2009 when my intuition was switched on. Now I completely trust my intuition and if I don’t know what to do in any given situation I wait until the answer comes to me. It is very freeing to be this way.
I’ve been tuning into my sacral authority a lot over the last few years. But only very recently discovered my human design and learned this new language. It’s interesting, my sacral response gets louder and clearer the more important the decision is. An inward spiral movement for the no and an outward ripple for the yes. Thank you so much for this amazing resource. I really appreciate you.
Im a generator with sacral authority and the dinner example made a lot of sense! I hate being asked: “what do you want for dinner”? I respond every time with: “what are the options”? My wife is also a generator Edit: turns out I miscalculated my wifes chart shes actually an instinct authority projector
I sense instead of hear most of the time, so when I have the sacral, “uh-huh,” it comes as a widening in my pelvic muscles. When, “uh-uh,” is the answer, it constricts. If I see both sides and need to use logic and emotion together, I take longer to make a decision. Sometimes I turn to tarot to help. Childhood traumas affected my ability to trust myself, so I’ve been listening to my gut through meditations and writing to heal myself in a fantasy light. That way, I can read it over and over and learn more instead of dreading the process.
Yes, loved this article! I’ve been practicing every day since my reading with you and I will have to say I’m much more comfortable saying “No” to things that don’t light me up. I don’t feel the need to explain myself either. It’s like I feel this switch go off in my gut now, it’s so interesting! Informative article as always, Krystle! ❤
Krys, thank you for taking your time to share with the world your knowledge. I am sacral authority and I have my own business(my passion, thankfully) and the way I make decisions it just like you said, a sound that my body creates naturally. When it’s right it feels so good and exciting, and when it’s wrong it literally feels like a rejection inside my body. Thank you again, this article is really helpful
Hiii I’m only new to this but loved your articles! But mine is a feeling of pulled to an answer but I’ve got to make sure I’m not letting my mind take over which I’m slowly learning to understand. I used to think my emotional high was the yes feeling but realised that I need to ride that wave out for clarity. I just find all this stuff FASCINATING. Thank you for your time & beautiful energy
Emotional Generator here n ive been playin around w/ how i receive da sacral-emotional response. Since all of my centers are defined except for my head center (so 8/9 centers defined), my sacral responses will literally make my throat throb for yea, and/or shake my head up for yes, and side to side for no. i have noticed dat my emotions can switch from moment to moment, n so sittin w/ n internally checkin in w/ my sacral space might surprise me from time to time. especially when i dnt want 2 respond 2 a person w/ words, it might seem rude or mean 2 just say uh-huh uhn-uhn, but now we (me and my cells) take our time w/ our responses n let the other person figure things out. bcuz we’re not here 2 solve other people’s problems. n my inner authority is sovereign 2 me first n foremost we tune into the sacral response fur whether 2 answer da fone, how to respond to text messages, which articles or songs to listen to. we usually ask in this format: “is it in the highest good for me to…”
I work with my sacral authority means I try not to respond so fast on outside information. My fast respond would be based on my mind and thinking I try to avoid that. I try to wait some days and spend my time with fun activities and not on decision making procresses in my mind. Then I come to the conclusion to not respond and wait for a sign from the universe. I am still trying this and it is not easy because we are programmed by society to base our decisions on rationality and information. (By the way, I am a Generator.) PS: My belly told me to write comment, haha.
I’m an emo generator and have felt that gut feeling of the yes or no. Learning and experimenting with the wait for clarity. For the most part, my gut intuition is right. I’m a quick responder with email and now I’m waiting a little bit to respond and that’s better especially if an emotion is struck my the email.
Thank you. Your explanation was so easy to understand. I have Emotional authority(MG), and in Korea, we don’t use the sounds of uh-huh, or uhn-un, for maybe… due to the language differences? So I’m having hard time to find my own uh-huh, uhn-un sounds. 😅 Instead, I’m trying to feel the yes or no’s feeling in my body.
The part of authority which makes decision is the most difficult part for me to understand. I probably made many decision based on this but I don’t know if I’m really aware of it. What I know is that I need long time to be totally convinced in a decision which I make, maybe days, or weeks, until there’s a moment where inside of me I tell myself: that’s it. But I’m not sure if this has to do with the sacral authority. Hope to gain more awareness in my decision making process so that I can be sure of what I want and not.
Is using Dice Divination methods (Dice of Fate, Mystic Oracle, e.t.c.) helpful to align with our inner sacral authority or do you consider the use of dice an external authority? I noticed the use of dice can provide yes or no answers that the sacral authority uses as a response mechanism. Nevertheless, I personally believe the Sacral Authority to be the Holy Spirit. He is present in all creation! There are lots of images for the Holy Spirit: fire, dove, wind and water. The Spirit of God moves in us through our belly (Sacral Chakra) and our gut feeling is a sure sign of the Holy Spirit: King James Version 1 Peter 4:11 Jeremiah 2:13 Jeremiah 17:13 John 4:10 Acts 2:1-21 John 7:37-39 1 Corinthians 12 1 Corinthians 13 1 Corinthians 14 *Note: I often repeat this mantra before I do any dice divination readings to arrive at yes or no answers: “God help me to cultivate and recognise the promptings of the Holy Spirit in my gut feelings (belly). And may His living water bless, sustain and guide me always. Amen!”– Anonymous
For me, didnt pay attn on what my gut feel. Or maybe i cannot differentiate bw gut vs mind. But i notice that when im shopping and see sth pretty,im interested yet unsure (see how i 2nd guess myself?) and still bought it anyway, i almost never wear it! this is not one time event. But it’s a pattern. EVERY SINGLE TIME! But if i do NOT 2nd guess, those items are literally the one i kept wearing again and again. 😂 So now i use this ‘method’ with other stuff. But it’d be nice to ‘feel’ sth bc many times i wonder if im using brain or ‘sth else’ Another experience was relationship. I notice that if i ‘force’ myself (i.e.sth just not connect but i still go ahead with the person), it never last long (bc we truly didnt connect!). But recently with someone new, i felt the same but more ‘wavy'( felt like i force myself, but now i feel calm…so i dont know what it mean…if it’s yes or no or im numb😮)…so i try to sit with whatever it is in my gut..and see if it ‘react’ later on.
1/3 Gen here, a year to me always feels like 5 years worth of stuff has happened! My life is always changing and although sometimes it gets me in a spin (often to do with taking on others emotions as I have a completely undefined Solar Plex) I absolutely love change and definitely start feeling stagnant when restricted. Working on the shadow side of undefined Splenic centre with hanging gates so I can embrace the powers within and share energy with the world again! Thank you for your amazing explanation 💜
Thank you Kelly! This explains a lot. I’m a MG 1/4 type and a total newbie in HD. I’ve lived my life so far from one burnout to the next, saying “yes” to the things (and people) when I actually wanted to say “no”. FRUSTRATION is my nickname haha. I have so much to learn and I’m really excited cos I finally get answers to all my questions. Sending much love from Sweden <3
