What is the best conjunction in the birth chart?

Astrology uses aspects as angles between planets in a horoscope, indicating the timing of transitions and developmental changes in people’s lives and affairs relative to Earth. Aspects are measured by the angular distance in degrees and minutes of ecliptic longitude between two points. For example, a Natal Chart with an angular distance of 92° between Mars and Venus is called “Venus Square Mars” with an orb of 2°.

The more exact an aspect, the stronger or more dominant it is in shaping character or manifesting change. In Natal charts, other signs may take precedence over a Sun sign, such as Aries having several other planets in Cancer or Pisces, making the latter signs more influential.

Is conjunction in astrology good or bad?

Medieval astrology categorized aspects and planets as either favorable (beneficial) or unfavorable (malefic). Modern usage emphasizes the importance of astrological harmonics, with Johannes Kepler and John Addey being key proponents. Aspects are classified as easy (60° Sextile or 120° Trine) or hard (90° Square or 180° Opposition), with a Conjunction (0°) falling into either category.

Easy aspects can be positive, as they promote talent growth, while hard aspects can be negative, requiring adjustments to reach balance. Manifestation often occurs with a Conjunction, Square, or Opposition. Planets, such as Mars and Uranus, can also be considered, with direct or retrograde planets being significant. An eclipse of the Sun or Moon is even more significant.

Astrological signs can also be considered, with fire signs of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius more compatible with air signs of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, Earth signs of Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn more compatible with water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, and mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces being flexible.

What is conjunct mood?

The subjunctive is a grammatical mood that indicates the speaker’s attitude towards an utterance. It is used to express states of unreality, such as wish, emotion, possibility, judgment, opinion, obligation, or action that has not yet occurred. It is one of the irrealis moods, referring to what is not necessarily real. Subjunctives are most often found in subordinate clauses, particularly that-clauses.

Examples of the subjunctive in English include “I suggest that you be careful” and “It is important that she stay by your side”. The Proto-Indo-European language had two closely related moods: the subjunctive and the optative, which many of its daughter languages combined or merged.

What does conjunction pair mean?

Paired conjunctions, also referred to as correlative conjunctions, are two words that are connected to each other and are frequently utilized in a sentence, such as “I would rather walk than run” or “It’s either now or never.”

What does it mean for a planet to be conjunct?

Astronomy refers to the observation of two objects, such as asteroids, moons, planets, and stars, appearing close together in the sky. There are two systems used to define where an object appears in the sky: the celestial coordinate system of right ascension and declination, which aligns with Earth’s tilt, and the ecliptic coordinate system, which measures the orientation of the Solar System within the galaxy. If two objects have the same right ascension or ecliptic longitude, they are considered in conjunction.

What does conjunction mean in astrology compatibility?

The birth chart consists of five major aspects: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions. These aspects are based on the alignment of planets in the sky, with the planets usually in the same sign. The conjunctions involve the planets merging their energies, amplifying the themes associated with both planets. The sextile aspect involves the planets being 60 degrees apart, flowing smoothly and in complementary elements. The square aspect involves the planets being 90 degrees apart, creating a challenging aspect due to potential clashes between signs under the same modality.

The trine aspect involves the planets being 120 degrees apart, creating a harmonious and easy energy. Grand trines are formed when three or more planets form an equilateral triangle in the chart. Oppositions occur when planets are opposite each other, six signs or 180 degrees apart, sharing a modality and in opposing elements. These aspects offer opportunities for balance and growth, but they can also be challenging.

Aspects are essentially relationships between particular planets, with some expressing tension, providing growth opportunities, and others offering ease and complementing energy. Each aspect is unique within each person’s birth chart and influences the energy of the day.

What is the rarest conjunction in astrology?

Great conjunctions occur every 20 years when Jupiter overtakes Saturn in its orbit, making them the rarest of the conjunctions between naked-eye planets. The spacing between the planets varies, with most events being 0. 5 to 1. 3 degrees (30 to 78 arcminutes, or 1 to 2. 5 times the width of a full moon). Very close conjunctions occur less frequently, with separations of less than 10 arcminutes only happening four times since 1200, most recently in 2020.

Great conjunctions have attracted significant attention as omens in the past, with topics discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors such as Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare. This interest in conjunctions can be traced back to translations of Arabic texts, particularly Albumasar’s book on conjunctions. In the past, great conjunctions were discussed by pre-scientific and transitional astronomer-astrologers, scholastic thinkers, and authors like Dante, Lope de Vega, and Shakespeare.

What does conjunct mean in astrology?

A conjunction is a type of astrological conjunction where two planets align in a chart, with a range of 0-10° between them. Astrologers suggest that a conjunction can be easily identified by observing if planets appear to overlap or be right next to each other. It is a significant aspect in a natal chart, and it is important to note that not everyone has a conjunction in their chart, as each chart is unique. If a chart has been created for you, you may see a conjunction abbreviated as “con”.

  • My boyfriend and I have the same Ascendant and same Dsc. we have the same MC and the same IC. We also are within 1 degree of each other’s Part of Fortune in 11th house Libra. Asc Sagittarius – his Asc has a stellium while my Asc is empty. My sun sign is in Gemini 7th house which is also both of our Dsc. Mc Virgo and IC Pisces. We get each other and we both feel a sense of spiritual familiarity with each other since day 1. Like we are picking up where we left off in another life perhaps. We’ve both also noted how we feel a sense of a ‘familial’ type bond as if he’s been my father and I’ve been his daughter in another life. Like he’s been my son or my brother in a past life. There is just a sense of security with each other and we both feel like home to each other. We don’t get bored or tired of one another after being together but we have to make sure we voluntarily remind each other to take some space for ourselves. There is a really sweet vulnerability between the two of us. We also find each other funny. We have a really beautiful masculine and feminine polarity between the two of us. Complimenting each other well. I love my King

  • I have a really interesting synastry chart with someone. Moon in 7th house for both of us, Chiron conjunct vertex, Chiron conjunct moon, Pluto opposite moon, Pluto square Venus and Pluto conjunct ascendent. Felt a lot of love for them but I did feel uncomfortable and like my boundaries were crossed a lot! Upon reflection I might have imposed on theirs without knowing too. Shame it couldn’t be easy and happy

  • I have two examples of people I’ve met who came into my life as fast friends but also, just as quickly exited my life—no bad blood, just moved on. Both of their Ketus are in my first house. I never initiated these relationships as I was quite reserved and introverted. These Ketu natives saw something in me that made them think “I just met you but I like you” and it was a nice feeling to be like as Saturn is in my first house reflecting my long battle with self esteem. However, these connections never last. Ketu may point to a past life connection but he is also detachment.
