What Is Said In The Bible Regarding African Rituals?

The Bible reveals common threads in ancestor worship practices worldwide, with African traditions serving as ethical guides through myths and rituals. These myths explain the origin of the universe and the relationship between creation. In 2 Corinthians 7:1, Paul exhorts the Corinthians to cleanse themselves from all filthiness, based on the holiness of God. African spirituality, a belief system based on openness and adaptation, endures.

African traditional religions often feature festivals honoring divinities or cultural heroes, renewing bonds between ancestors and their progeny. Indigenous spiritualities among Africans, both in Africa and the diaspora, are flourishing. In Lagos, Nigeria, shrines compete with churches and shrines compete with churches.

Despite high levels of commitment to Christianity and Islam, many people in countries surveyed retain beliefs and rituals characteristic of traditional African beliefs. The difference between traditional African belief and the Bible is that the belief in the supernatural was often based on fear.

The worship of Voodoo spirits is condemned throughout the Bible as the worship of false gods. Emotionally charged activities accompanying purification or cleansing constitute a ritual demonstration. In libation ritual, the dead are invoked or consulted, flouting the Word of God.

The presence of “Africa and Africans” has the potential to balance the universalistic trajectory of the Bible. African Traditional Religion is an expression of humanity’s inherited unrighteousness from the sin of Adam, while Christianity is an expression of righteousness.

📹 THE ORIGIN OF AFRICAN ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE!!

In this video, delve into the fascinating history of the origins of black peoples, how the first black people and the first Africans …

What religion did Africa have before Christianity?

The indigenous religions of East Africa, as exemplified by Swahili, Maasai, and Nyamwezi traditions, are characterised by a strong emphasis on ancestor worship and a spiritual connection to the land. In contrast, West African indigenous religions tend to prioritise animism and the veneration of lesser deities associated with nature.

Who did African worship before Christianity?

Native African religions are centered on ancestor worship, the belief in a spirit world, supernatural beings, and free will, unlike the later developed concept of faith. Deceased humans and animals still exist in the spirit world and can influence or interact with the physical world. Polytheism was widespread in ancient Africa and other regions before the introduction of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. An exception was the short-lived monotheistic religion created by Pharaoh Akhenaten, who made it mandatory to pray to his personal god Aten.

This change was reverted by his youngest son, Tutankhamun. High gods, specialized deities, ancestor spirits, territorial spirits, and beings are common themes among traditional African religions, highlighting the complex and advanced culture of ancient Africa. Some research suggests that certain monotheistic concepts, such as the belief in a high god or force, were present within Africa before the introduction of Abrahamic religions. Traditional African medicine is directly linked to these religions, with Clemmont E.

Vontress stating that the various religious traditions of Africa are united by a basic Animism, with gods either self-created or evolved from spirits or ancestors worshipped by the people. Most modern African folk religions were strongly influenced by non-African religions, mostly Christianity and Islam, and may differ from the ancient forms.

What are African spiritual practices?

What are African spiritual practices?

African people have a diverse range of beliefs and practices, including various ethnic religions, which are oral traditions passed down through narratives, songs, and festivals. These traditions often include beliefs in spirits, higher and lower gods, veneration of the dead, magic, and traditional African medicine. Most religions can be described as animistic with polytheistic and pantheistic aspects. Humanity is seen as harmonizing nature with the supernatural, seeking to explain personal experience through spiritual forces that underpin orderly group life.

African traditional religions are not idealizations but seek to come to terms with reality as it is. Adherents of traditional religions in Africa are distributed among 43 countries and are estimated to number over 100 million. Christianity and Islam, which have largely displaced indigenous African religions, are often adapted to African cultural contexts and belief systems. African people often combine their traditional beliefs with Abrahamic religions, which are widespread across Africa but mostly concentrated in different regions. Abrahamic religious beliefs, especially monotheistic elements, were introduced into traditionally polytheistic African religions rather early.

What does the Bible say about Africans?

The Old Testament and New Testament both emphasize the theological significance of Africa and Africans in the Bible. The Old Testament shows that the God of Israel is the God of all people, while the New Testament presents an African, the Ethiopian Eunuch, as the first non-Israelite to be baptized into the church. Without a concrete example like Africa, universalism would be empty rhetoric, and without a universalistic frame of interpretation, the African presence could risk repeating ethnocentric fallacy by Eurocentrists.

Who is God in African spirituality?

In contrast to Western Christian tradition, African peoples do not view God as a human being. Instead, they employ language and images to express concepts about the divine. In this context, God is perceived as an all-pervading reality and a constant participant in human affairs. Scholars of African religions have observed that all African societies adhere to a belief in a supreme being. The objective of this paper is to undertake a comprehensive examination of these beliefs.

What is the truth about African spirituality?

African spirituality acknowledges a multiplicity of manifestations of the Creator/God, which collectively form the basis of a unified practice of veneration. This veneration is directed towards these naturally occurring forms without any cognitive dissonance regarding their divine nature. This diversity of expressions and forms is a fundamental aspect of African culture.

Which tribe is Africa in the Bible?

Cush is the Bible’s name for most dark-skinned tribes in Africa, often translated as Ethiopia. This name includes many other African tribes, including those in Ethiopia. The Greek word “Ethiopia” refers to all dark-skinned people, regardless of their location. The Bible confirms that Cush refers to tribes with dark skin, as mentioned in Jeremiah 13:23. Cush is located beyond Egypt and some of the Cushites near Arabia.

What are the three types of African rituals?

What are the three types of African rituals?

Ranger categorized African rituals into three types: redressive, life-crisis, and liminal. Redressive rituals are performed to address calamities or plagues that have caused community crises, such as natural disasters or illnesses. These rituals involve divination to unravel the cause and social structure involvement, revealing hidden tensions and restoring peace. Life-crisis rituals focus on society as a whole, introducing individuals into specific communities or cult associations, such as circumcision, puberty, funeral rites, and initiation into confraternities.

Liminal rituals are associated with rites of passage from one social position to another, depicting a period of stability, ambiguity, passivity, and lack of identity. Examples include the fattening room ritual, which initiates young girls into womanhood. These rituals can also be seen as a moment of orientation and tutelage before assuming desired social status.

How is Africa portrayed in the Bible?

The Book of Psalms contains over 20 references to Africa and Africans, yet their portrayal in the Psalms has been undervalued by scholars. The book portrays Africa and Africans as adversaries and oppressors of ancient Israel, yet also as instruments of Yahweh’s salvation.

What was Africa called in Bible?

What was Africa called in Bible?

In the Major Prophets, Africa and Africans are mentioned more than 180 times, with Cush as a geographical location and Cushi as a name of people. In the book of Jeremiah 36:14, the ancestors of Yehudi are traced to Cushi, and Ebed-Melech, the Cushite who delivered Jeremiah from death, is also mentioned. Cush or Egypt appears 53 times in the Old Testament, while in the New Testament they occur 67 times.

Africa and Africans are mentioned over 1, 417 times in the Bible, with Egypt (Mitsrayim) mentioned over 740 times in the Old Testament. In the Pentateuch, Egypt and Egyptians are mentioned more than 288 times. Egypt and Egyptians are always mentioned together in the Old Testament, as they belong to the African nation.

Although ancient Egyptians saw themselves as Africans, some Western biblical scholars have tried to de-Africanize them, making Ancient Egypt a Near Eastern or European nation. The Egyptians themselves considered Africa as their place of origin, and the inscription of Queen Hatshepsut attests to their origin from Punt. Scholars like Glenn Usry and Craig Keener argue for the Africanness and blackness of ancient Egypt and the Egyptians, stating that “most Egyptians were black by any one’s definition”.

What is the difference between Christianity and African spirituality?

What is the difference between Christianity and African spirituality?

In Christendom, religion is a personal pursuit with the goal of individual salvation. In contrast, African traditional religion is a communal affair with the aim of promoting the collective well-being of all within the celebrant’s purview, rather than focusing solely on the individual’s spiritual and physical benefit.

  • Thanks I love studying the Bible. Even as a child I thought most people in the Bible were dark skin because of the region and I believe Jesus would be dark-skinned as well. I’m a 60 year old white male that’s what I picked up from my studies. But the most important thing I’ve learned it’s we should love each other even when we fuss and fight

  • Awesome 👏 I always knew this as truth as you can see how prejudice can start and lead to other sins here Numbers 12:1 NIV Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. And notice next how like the serpent and Eve the conversation continues Numbers 12:2 NIV “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this. I embrace all heritages as they lead back ⬆️ to our creator ❤

  • Thank You for putting this out we need to know who we are it’s not about arrogance it’s about the truth, and we do many of the things that we do because we suffer from identity crisis. We were told who we were, and we still don’t know who we are know this information does not make us exempt from the penalty of our sins or doesn’t make us better than anyone, but it’s just the truth I need to be told.

  • I love this. There was a story about the ugly duckling and how it tried so hard to fit in with the family of ducks. At a young age the swan seemed odd and unusual. No one knew where it came from or how it ended up with the family of ducks. Maybe it tried to fit in, to change inorder to look or act like thier siblings. Thank goodness it didn’t succeed. If you don’t know where you come from, you cannot afford to loose your identity. If you don’t know exactly where the first melanin people came to be, relying on the mother duck guess is not the best choice. She is sure you are hers because she believes she made you to be the person you are today. She know she sat on an egg the she believes was hers. There was once a star that planted light on the ground. Some feel on the stone, they withered, others feel on sand near the ocean, they grew well and fast as the water was plenty, but nutrients were not soon when the winds came, their roots had not gone deep enough and they were blown away. Some feel on healthy soil. The water wasn’t as plenty and they grew up with endurance and patience. Their roots run deep and their growth was steady. Soon they became huge trees, a forest of trees that will withstand and stand strong for thousands of years. The kingdom of God.

  • I am from a Melanesian race in the Pacific Island of PNG. Studies indicated we originated from the South East Asia. My island nation has a total of 800 +languages and diverse ethnic groups. My native language has some resemblance to some English and Hebrew words such as: Father-afa Sand-sen Cry-kra Tomorrow-worro Sorrow-soro Well the list may go on. We think it’s the climate and our native staple food that influence our physical features since our ancestors first set foot on this island 40 000years ago from Asia. We only know we are descendants from Adam.

  • i love the bible and want to study more about it…I’m always fascinated why God made us in different shades of colour. Im not black, nor white not even tanned skin, I’m more like in between😊 your article is very informative. One quick question is the jubillee book accessable online? an answer is much appreciated. thanks

  • Genesis 9:21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.9:27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.9:28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.9:29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died. 10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.10:2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.10:3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.10:4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.10:5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.10:6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.10:7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

  • Partly true the negroes are not of Ham but shem. Even in the he Zondervan Bible dictionary says the negroes are not of Ham. The prophets were call Niger in the Bible and they still called Niger today. The real Jews aka Black peoples that fit the curses of Deuteronomy 28:15-68 only one people scattered fit the curse of Deuteronomy scattered via ship heritage stripped sold into slavery….every last curse is a sign ❤

  • Oh, my God !! After studying and researching and learning all this !! I never thought that all this information would be made into a article for more simple and easy learning!!! Which I spent many years learning !! To somewhat share a little others at times !!! Many peoples and including Christians don’t know the Noah’s three Sons part !!!

  • The events at the Tower of Babel changed world history, I believe it was not just languages that were changed but how people looked because families would not break up if people still recognized each other and they would stick together even with different languages, so basically many different ethnicities were also created on that fateful day that God went down and put “confusion” into humankind because of their arrogance to become like God with the Tower of Babel.

  • ” Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard it’s spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil” Jeremiah 13: 23 Even back in Prophet Jeremiah day the Ethiopians were a different race and had a different skin tone from Jews. Otherwise Jeremiah would not have referenced their skin tone in such a way.

  • One thing is for sure… We WILL all one day know the truth, truth about where we came from, whom our forefathers are and what not as GOD will make all this known to us. The same GOD Almighty that created us, all of us. We all share the same blood, red blood, and we all can be saved, by the Blood of Jesus only, which I am sure is also red. May God Bless you all.

  • I’m so glad that I came across this article very interesting very well put together and the footage of the various tribes of Black people are beautiful a stunning representation of the origins of Black and African people I wish there were more websites like this one there is so much to learn and know about Black people and where we all come from 👑

  • Pirkei DeRabbi Eliezer One of the most revered Jewish Rabbi from the 8th century. They all knew what we looked liked, read the understanding of his time and going back. NIMROD AND THE TOWER OF BABEL Noah brought his sons and his grandsons, and he blessed them with their (several) settlements, and he gave them as an inheritance all the earth. He especially blessed Shem and his sons, (making them) Dark but Comely, and he gave them the habitable earth. He blessed Ham and his sons, (making them) Dark || like the Raven, and he gave them as an inheritance the coast of the sea. He blessed Japheth and his sons, (making) them Entirely White, and he gave them for an inheritance the desert and its fields; these (are the inheritances with) which he endowed them.

  • Thanks for uploading this article. It’s good to see how so many people are interested in doing such a good and helpful work; that reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 10:26. It’s about time to know the truth, however, for a Bible reader and believer it’s easy to find it, when reading with full attention, since Genesis 2:7 says that Adam was created from the earth, being God’s image; now when you get to Job 10:21, 22 he refers to the earth as dark, deep dark… That’s when he desires to die! Such is the Bible, if you don’t pay attention you miss lots of information. Now, if we descended from the 3 brothers how can we look different? Maybe Leviticus 13:13 gives us an idea

  • Wait this just revealed a lot! Thank you! If the Egyptians (Mitsrayim) were black (being from Ham’s line; Hamites), then this means that Moses and Joseph (from Shem and later Jacob’s line; Israelites) who were able to blend in with the Egyptians were black as well. 😱 The more you know! Praise God Almighty anyhow for He is the creator of all people! ❤️

  • Thank you so much for sharing this article. It’s always good to know the true facts about the Bible and the history of the peoples descended from Noah and the origins of the different races. We are all brothers and sisters no matter what race/shade we are. Most importantly it’s Wonderful to have a GOD of LOVE and Truth that’s Love us all our Almighty Elohim Yahweh Lord Jesus Christ Yeshua and the Gift of the Holy Spirit. I am so thankful to GOD for everything and to the person who shared this article. Amen ❤️🌹🙏🏻

  • But you forgot to mention . Israelites and the children of ham were always mistaken for each other by other tribes Moses and Paul were mistaken for children of mitzraim. Joseph was told to take the child and his mother and flee into mitzraim. When Joseph brother went to buy corn from the king of mitzraim,,, they didn’t recognize Joseph. Amos 9:7 says the children of Israel is like the children of cush. So if the children of Israel is like the children of cush then who are those people in Israel today ?

  • Interesting article. I was skeptical of perusal at first, but you seem quite faithful to the text of the Bible, but have clearly drawn from extra-biblical narratives as well – I don’t have a problem with this as the Bible doesn’t go into a lot of detail, unless it is important to the biblical narrative. This is a study that I did in 2020 during lockdown.

  • So basically, what I’m getting from this article is that Noah had three sons and that their descendants repopulated the Earth. So some descendants magically became culturally and genetically African, other descendants magically became culturally and genetically European, and still other descendants magically became culturally and genetically Asian. Very interesting.

  • I think the most important thing to remember is that this book has been used as a tool by an empire that sought to own this earth and the next. Used this book to justify actions that are unspeakable and of which its effects are still felt presently. Search not their his-story but the past of the ones that presented us this Book, and then the true conversation begins. Peace and respect

  • ❤🔥A resa inyatsa! Jesus is real💯I got saved back in 2014 and the peace I have I never had it from anything😭even though throght poverty(mindset),being broke but the peace that Jesus give money can not buy it compares to nothing😊I use argue a lot against Christ but deep down I knew I was void even with my religios mindset.Jeso ke Morena👑ebile wa pholosa❤️

  • Uhmm, Shem was black. From the Sefaria chapter 24 Pirkei DeRabbi Eliezer

  • I’ve known this since high schoo (30 years ago) and latley have been so blown away by near history of the Vatican and keep geeting shade or violence towards me for speaking of it. I’m white and its hard defending what i know is truth when the people who first instilled it in me(black Hebrew Israelits) told me theres no place in his grace for my redemption but i cant stop calling out the church or its modern day minions. Smilesotheylikeyou

  • The Bible is clear that Egypt was a Black African civilization. Read for yourself Psalm 105: 23 & 27 and Psalm 106: 21 & 22 and Psalm 78: 51. All of them said that Egypt is The Land of HAM. (pronounced Khem) meaning Black, Thus Khemet means Land of The Blacks. The Bible tells where the Egyptians originated. Read Ezekiel 29: 4. It says the Egyptians originated in Pathros. Where is Pathros?? In upper Egypt to the south in the land of Nubia-Cush, Ethiopia, in modern day Sudan. The Arabs are still trying to claim Egypt because of their racist, Anti-Black, Arabcentric jealousy.

  • Most Bantu/Negroes are actually Semitic since Shem was also a Black Man. They are the Israelites. Some are Hamito Semitic since the Israelites did run into West, South, Central parts of Africa to blend and mix. The Bantu/Negroes also suffered the curse which is in the Bible. You know, 400 years of slavery in Egypt again on ships. You will be called Bi-words such as Negroes, Black, African American, Afro This and Afro That, they will also be scattered across the four corners of the Earth. I’m just saying this just in case you’re interested. Bantus still practice their Hebraic customs.

  • The sons of Ham are the Egyptians, Libyians, Canaanites and the Ethiopians. West Africans are not Ethiopians and are not the sons of iHam. They are Shemetic and have a different Haplogroup. Negroes are not the so s of Ham. Please reference Zondervan bible dictionary. That is also proven by the bantu Israelite Lemba. And the Bantu Israelite Igbo that were both verified by Jewish Rabbis. I just want to clarify!!

  • Good job you are spot on. I’m a black American and I was doing research because it was rumored that the negro in America was from the tribe of Judah. Based upon one dictionary the Zondervan. And various other sources and some bible miss translations. As I began to study these sources and other source history book’s dealing with the Jews I found that most of the black peoples of America are Hamites and not Shemites. History does not prove that blacks are jews or even Israelite. The Jews that are dark looking look more like the people of India 🇮🇳 dark to almost white with straight to curly hair. The Ethiopia’s that are Jews are mixed with the Danites and a few from the royal line of Judah from Solomon they have alot of the same dna as the jews in Israel all these people want to claim is fake. And even the Ethiopian will tell you that the Jews were much more lighter than they almost white. The Lemba Tribe are Levites and they also say that their ancestors that came to Africa was almost white looking. And they too have dna matching the jews in Israel in which so many want to call fake. The Igbo jews even said that the jews where almost white looking. The Igbo carry the traditions of the Israelites. But there dna test was taken and it was found that they did not match those in the land of Israel. The Igbo’s answer was that they were from the mixed multitude that came out of Egypt and adopted by the tribes of Gad and Dan basically converts or shadow Jews. Most black Americans that came via transatlantic slave trade has this Igbo ancestry and are not Jews but are Hamite.

  • What I know is that life started in Africa. All human beings were black and as they travel away from Africa into colder places like Europe, America and Asia that’s when they developed traids that will help them to survive and reproduce at those regions. Just as Charles Darwin has said that “New characteristics are acquired as a result of environmental changes”. The white skin of other people came as a result of being exposed to excessive coldness and less exposures to heat. Here is a practical example, if you take a green tree that is rich in chlorophyll and has photosynthesised as a result of exposure to sun radiation, and place it under a shade where there is less radiation of the sun or no radiation at all, you will notice that the green plants start to change colour and become yellowish. Even to us human beings it’s like that, however, it’s not so easy to notice the changes because modern human beings are living for a short period of time here on Earth. But if we were living for periods of thousand years, you were going to notice these changes, that Is, an African might developing white skin in England or Iceland, or European man developing a dark skin in Congo and Mozambique 😂😂😂😂😂

  • Really dude, Ham is the father of the Blacks but not the Negros. The word Semitic is rooted in Shem. Shem was also black. He had 5 sons Genesis 10:21-32; Chapter 11. The Negros come from the Line of Shem. YAHUAH separated Noah’s sons and gave them their own land. The line of Shem leads to Abraham, Isaac, Ya’aqob. Ya’aqob is the patriarch of the Twelve Tribes. The people of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade were descendants of Israel Deuteronomy 28:48-50,68, Yoel (Joel) Chapter 3, Psalm 44:10-14, Isaiah 11:11-12. The word Jews was added to the Scriptures. The letter J didn’t exist until 1524. So, there were no people called Jews then. The white Jewish people in Israel today are the Khazars who can down from the Caucasus Mountain into the land of Shem. The word Jew in Scripture should be Hebrews. Sha’ul, the man the Europeans renamed Paul, was a Hebrew from the Tribe of Binyamin Philippians 3:5, Romans 11:1-2, Acts Chapter 7; 13:16-23. He was mistaken for Kemet/Mizraim. The ancient Hamites didn’t call themselves Egyptians. Moses was a Hebrew from the Tribe of Levi Exodus 2:1-11. He was also mistaken for Kemet/Mizraim. In Acts 13:1 there was a man named Simeon called Niger. Niger means black. Niger is also a country that lies North of Nigeria. In a region that was called “NEGRO LAND”. Simeon is also Ya’aqob’s 2nd son. The daughters of Yerusalem are like the tents of Kadar which are brown to black (Dark and lovely) Songs of Solomon 1:5. The Children of Israel became a nation under the enslavement of Ham.

  • I am a white skinned women; saim my family. Saying that I believe that human beings are having different skin colour patterns just to make our climate change Geographically talking 😂! So…if a person has got white skinne colour it means that person lived in a very pretty icy land with 4 season per year! If are brown/ whitish skin colour, that means they’re carrying the genes of some Arabic countries; and so on… This is beautiful/enchanting ❤. Just imagine how horrible will be for all humans to look the same alike and speak the saim language! Horrible situation!😢 I adore different people, languages, cultures, beliefs, tribes…❤My Blue Planet is a wonderful place to be born on to; only truth is that humans are worth than anything on Earth.

  • Noah’s curse on Canaan was common sense for Noah I believe…. Ham obviously at least betrayed Noah…. The first sin of the new world…. The last one was murder…. Anyways, Noah knew that Hams Son was going to betray him in the future… no matter what… that’s happened since that time… how many stories are there of royalty getting dirty about who’s next, and power. Comes with the territory now….. power snatch. Whatever Ham did was betrayal…. For power. That’s my opinion. The curse I believe he was going to bare ultimately was living to good on earth to go to heaven. You want to have a hard humble giving poop praying life to the other upward. You wash yourself in gold… you’ll head downward. So, Hams Line ended up living good for awhile, so much that a branch of them knew they was going downstairs and started having sex again with fallen angels on Canaan side. The Hebrews said they were like grasshoppers to the people of Canaan. Additionally Abraham was born 333 years after the flood…. And in that time… mind you, only 333 years of new world #2 God himself had to come down and confound our language. And separated us…. That’s not long…. Also inside that 333 years…. The earth was divided…. And the length of our lives shortened to 120 years. All that can be traced all the way back to ham betraying Noah. The time of gelgimish…. In that story it states that gelgimish and his creature friend attacked the land of the living…. By the Lebanon. If you read that poem closely… pay attention to one thing….

  • The curse of Ham, which he placed on Canaan was that the Nephilim would primarily come back through Ham’s disobedience. All the genealogy of Ham are people who were either Nephilim or people who were ruled over by Nephilim kings. Read Genesis 10 and you start to see that Sihon, and Og, and the sons of Anak were all giants and descendants of Ham. Japheth has some Nephilim as well, but not Shem’s pure line that eventually bore Jesus as Messiah.

  • I prayed this morning and asked God to reveal to me my history am I the descendent of the Hebrews I just want to know I’m a born again Christian an understand that it only makes me want to be closer to my lord and savior I believe that we are part of the Hebrew race it’s a reason why we are oppressed on every side read Deuteronomy 28 you can only see us lord help me to continue to understand who I am

  • It would be interesting to compare this research to the United Nations Human Genome Project and its latest Data. It goes back further than the Bible and is not affected by Religion or Politics. Nor the slanted history we have been taught. I am white but researching my lineage I found people in my lineage on Slave Rolls which were not on the General Census at one time.

  • If you actually read the Old Testament or Torah, Genesis chapter 42. you will find that your idea is incorrect. The truth is that Shemites and Hamites looked the same. This is proven by the fact that Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers to Misraim i.e. Egypt. Years later when the Israelites when to Egypt to get corn due to famine, his brothers came face to face with him and didn’t know he was their brother, they thought he was an Egyptian. If Ham and Shem looked differently as you state, his brothers would have known he was not Egyptian. Genesis chapter 42 verse 8. Read it for yourself. There are more examples in the Bible that show this fact. Research before buying into misinformation.

  • Nice article! The origin of Africans (Hammites) title is very accurate. Many like to lump together everyone with dark or melanated skin together as simply “black people” but skin color in ancient times was only a small detail of how you identify a people. Back then (In Africa) they knew whose blood descendant you were and it’s even still like that today. The Sudanese in Sudan call those who identify as African American “Ibin Yakub” Meaning sons of Jacob(Israel). Moreover, the Hebrews(Shem’s seed) are a black people but not the same black people as the ancient Egyptians(Hams Seed). This is how Moses, Jesus, Joseph, and Mary were able to hide in Egypt. If they were white they would stick out like a sore thumb. Joseph’s other 11 brothers(12 sons of Jacob-Israel) did not even recognize their own brother when they came to buy grain from Egypt during the 7-year famine. This is just one example of two different bloodlines. This is why I always tell people that bloodlines and skin color are topics that closely relate but are not the same.

  • Glad to finally hear scriptural facts. All brothers were dark in complexion. Ham the darkest; so, Noah would then have to be Nubian in appearance. Noah .. great grandson of Adam. Son of fertile soil. Can not wait to see your scriptural depiction, of the Hebrews. Travelers from Babylon to Egypt to Canaan; then back to Egypt, then back. Then on to Babylon; then back. Circular path throughout time. Never ever leaving … lands of Ham. The Jet Black Nations { Til European Slavery } Lies told after renaissance era ; leaves everyone with bad case of sunburn.

  • Are there any other books besides the bible that tells of human history in comparison? I read somewhere that all human race migrated from Africa. That the ice age separated humans for 1000s of years. And in doing so, a new genetic makeup. Im curious about different ancient writings of humans, not so of the religious beliefs.

  • You might all be interested that a great pre war scholar, H V Morton, wrote in his book about St Paul, that Jesus was likely a negro. Book written I think in 1935. A good scholar came to this conclusion. I had not considered this until I read this book. But I felt I was meant to read this special book. And it resonates with me, and I have been a church goer nearly 50 years. I know when the Lord is speaking to me, or showing me something. I believe Jesus was negro. And that many disciples, and obviously his family members, were of black colour.

  • I’ve never really considered the colors of skin of the people in the Bible. I only know them by their names. Just like being blind, you learn to know someone by how they act or things they say. You do not know them by sight. I am blessed that way because Jesus taught me to love all people like I was blind, just like he did. Jesus loves all of us and proved that when he gave his life for everyone who will believe in him. Thank you Jesus .

  • As to the curse on Ham’s son, ‘to see ones nakedness or uncover ones nakedness’ refers to an act of incest against the family members female relations. Ham had insest with Noah’s wife (which wasn’t necessarily Ham’s mother, although it could have been). Ham did this in attempt to usurp his fathers position as the head of the clan or his kingship, if you will. Remember Reuben sleeping with Bilha, and also King David’s son sleeping with Davids concubines. This is what they did when they conquered another man’s kingdom. In Ham’s case a child was concieved, Cannan, and thus Noah cursed him in that he would not be in line to any of Noahs blessing.

  • The flood definitely seemed like it happened, but It’s in multiple cultures from different times, though, so it’s hard to say they were all the same flood. It’s interesting to see that people think Pharoahs were white when Egypt was in Africa, but undoubtedly, the white race came from Neanderthal DNA and Albino humans from Africa. White Skin became better for colder climates but required more nutrients and more food in general.

  • Black is dominate, not recessive. If Noah’s son Ham was black, all his other sons would have been black. Therefore, Noah’s wife or wives would have also been black. This ebony hue can be traced back to Idem, not Adam, meaning “he who looks like me.” Imagine that!, Idem, looking like the Ancient of Days.

  • You got to remember that Noah and his sons were the Adamic people that would come out of the Ark. Don’t forget that there were also people that were non Adamic aboard the Ark. God commanded male and female of each flesh to board the Ark. The reason I’m saying this is because Cain is not listed in Adam’s genealogy because he is not of Adam, but of the Serpent. The Kennites came from Cain and they to were aboard the Ark. According to Genesis the Serpent was upright, so we know it was not a snake that tempted Eve, but a being. If you reference Genesis back to the Hebrew then you would know that the word “Naga” is used in Genesis which means to sexually touch a woman. It’s a rare thing in biology where the female gets impregnated by two males because she has two eggs in her womb, but in this case it did happened. So, we know that the Kennites are the offspring of Cain. Now there is a prophecy given in Genesis by God which says, “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”. From this we know that there are two seeds that are not related and if they were killed off in the flood then this prophecy could not come to pass. So the Serpents Seed has to exist who would be the ones who would crucify Christ. We know from the Book of Ezra and many other places in the Bible that the Kennites would move in and take over the Levitical Priesthood. Eventually they would be the ones who crucify Christ which fulfills the prophecy.

  • Interesting article. I read many of the comments below and boy, people focus on the wrong things. Its good to get wisdom, yes but nationality, race, money, or anything on this earth cant get you into heaven. It doesnt matter the skin color or the next. What matters is Love. We are comnanded to Love. Our God and our neighbors. Love is the only thing you possibly could take to Heaven. Please stop with the pride and talking down to one another. As someone wrote below, God has no respective persons. God knows us all. Nobody is better than the next.

  • ‘Unravelling Scriptures’ & Online Associates – Fans: Recently, I saw a discussion pertaining to the said Anunaki; thus, (although maybe somewhere lengthy) after reviewing various online articles and personal library research, I like to give my present perspective: For some time, I’ve been commenting that: My take on it is that Blacks as a whole (especially as applying to both African and American Blacks (maybe one more so than the other and vice versa)) we fail in these five to six main areas: 1) The Idea Of A Non-proven One All Omnipotent God/Religions; 2) Not Having Overall Desire Or Values Toward True Ancient, Historical Knowledge & Science; 3) Negative Female Rulership By Non-Postnatal Trained (‘Crooked Natured’) Women; 4) Limited, Average Life Span; 5) Not Having Economic Productive Type Values (Needing Someone Else To Do What You Yourself Can Do While Also Not Maximizing On The Full Utilization Of Your Community’s Or Continent’s Natural Resources) & Finally, 6) The Allowed Destruction Of Family; all of this done within our limited average 80-years lifespan.

  • Consider the possibility, at the Tower of Babel when God changed the languages, he also changed the color of skin, to identify who they could converse with. Now to Noah curse, Noah was just someone with a hangover ranting when he cursed his grandson, that was not a curse by God… In II Kings 5:27 you can see a curse by God.

  • I see lots of articles lately claiming the American Native people were actually black. Where does this idea come from. It’s all new to me. I’m just interested in how this thought came about. I was always told in school that the Native Americans were from Asia. Saying they crossed the Bering Strait during the Ice Age. The thing about main stream History is it’s just an opinion. I tend to believe the Bible over mainstream History. But the fact is Native Americans were here. I just never really saw any explanation from Biblical text. I would love to know the real truth.

  • you are telling half of the story – main character in all of these is Keiza, Ham’s wife . During the flood all Cain’s lineage was wiped out but Keiza – she was not only black (marked as Cain was) but also compromised (unclean) : she was a Nephilim, and she was mean ! All of Her sons were giants as her grandchildren were and so on (remember Nimrod(Hermes))? She was worshiping a Serpent as all her offspring after the flood, as all people before the Great Flood did (snake in the crown of Pharaoh- that’s her) When Simiramida (Lilith)was lifted up to the Earth ‘s surface they were ruling over everything up to the Tower of Babel, over 3 centuries later. Population rose to 900 000 people- Keiza continued lineage of rebel against Living G-d mostly up to these days linkage continues but many people are turning towards Living G-d . The one thing for them is not to scream they are chosen people and most scream – that won’t ever happen: look at satanic human rejects Black Hebrew Israelites and so on: that is a sin – I know many black bros and preachers – many have the seed of this delusion- Blood of Jesus is to be excepted as a gift by each and every open heart – that should be enough for the soul to go and finish life’s journey praising our Lord and bringing a good news to others !

  • Since Noah and his wife were mixed race then all of their children (Ham, Shem, and Japheth) were mixed race. The Bible says people were divided by tongue and family, not by race. You’re adding to the scriptures by pushing this doctrine. Further God never referred to anyone by race only by family, tongue and land. Race is a man made divider prompted by satan to include and exclude as a means to generate strife. Genetically a black person cannot be defined because we’re all mixed. Science can only tell which land people are from based on where limited genetic samples in comparison to total historical population.

  • The best way to learn the truth is to read your Bible. Don’t rely on books that are not included in the Bible. Skip apocrypha books too. Better yet, learn Hebrew then read the Hebrew scriptures to learn who came from where and why it had to happen that way. Never put God in a box. Everything and everyone has a purpose. The same way he had a whale swallow a man and made a donkey talk, is how he ensured noah had 3 sons from different cultures. That’s why he is God and we are not. Praise Yeshua ❤

  • God was making humans from clay and then baking them in the oven. The first time he tried, he left them too long and they got burned black, hence the African race. The second time, he was nervous about burning them, so he pulled them out too soon, and they were under- baked and pasty white, hence the Caucasian race. On the third try, he got them a nice toasty brown, hence the majority of humans have a medium brown skin.

  • So, you agree with recent DNA and archeological research that the majority of Europeans came out of Africa. This agrees with the Bible. Noah or wife could have been a darker skin than noted in pictures. After all, our children inherit much of our features and the 3 children were “brothers”. Who the brothers married and their skin tone is another question. The question is: How ‘dark’ is dark compared to what is white or lighter skin tones? It seems according to DNA and archeology that there were other peoples on earth apart from the family of Noah. That’s ok, Cain married a woman in the land of Nod. No record of girls born of Adam.

  • Jeremiah 14:2 KJVA Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up. Genesis 1:26-27 KJVA And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. THE IMAGE OF THE ELOHIM Daniel 7:9 KJVA I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. Daniel 10:5-6 KJVA Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. Revelation 1:14-15 KJVA His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Revelation 4:3 KJVA And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

  • Genesis 10:7 The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan. (ARABIA) 8 ¶ Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.” 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.(IRAQ) 11 From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).

  • ‘Unravelling Scriptures’ & Online Associates – Fans: Recently, I saw a discussion pertaining to the said Anunaki; thus, (although maybe somewhere lengthy) after reviewing various online articles and personal library research, I like to give my present perspective: Most English language dictionaries define Aliens as: “belonging or relating to another person, place, or thing”; thus, indeed the said Annunaki were indeed aliens; perhaps maybe, likely some Black – Richly Melanated mixed (Mammalian/Reptilian hybrid); nevertheless, still were initially alien to this planet. Possibly still some form of cosmic – galactic ‘Black on Black’ crime, being that (once jealousy took place and with them visualizing our potential to eventually be the most God-like beings) the Annunaki were the ones who likely initiated the negative genetic manipulation process????

  • I was just having this conversation about cultures with a friend. Each culture is man made according to our ethnicity .It doesn’t make it truth, for instance in Mexican culture we celebrate day of the dead. Chinese celebrate Chinese New Years . When in all reality we were all made to worship the 1 true living God and live by the Lords creed, not culture. But because of sin . We stand divided and say, we do things this way and in your culture you do things that way. when God clearly didn’t intend us to live like that when he put Adam & Eve in the garden. So culture ain’t truth. Yes some culture is fun to partake in but it’s not something we should live by. Blaze 1 Hunnit!!💯💯💯💯
