What Is The Actual Psychological Node In Astrology?

The North Node, also known as the True Node, is a crucial point in an individual’s birth chart in astrology, representing the intersection of the Moon’s orbit with the ecliptic. It serves as a cosmic GPS, guiding individuals towards their soul’s purpose, destiny, and personal growth journey. The True Node is associated with overcoming complacency and breaking from restrictions when following this coordinate.

The North Node, also known as the lunar node or the North Node, is a pivotal point in astrology, representing the direction of soul growth and the qualities and traits needed to develop in this lifetime. The nodes are not physically present in space but are calculated mathematically. A TRUE NODE is the actual exact spot, measurement, and location of the North Node at an exact moment in time.

The Nodes of Destiny are the two points in the sky where the Moon and Sun cross paths, and the North Node determines the fate and spiritual purpose that a person is meant to fulfill. North Nodes are astronomical points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Earth’s path around the Sun. They are calculated mathematically, so the terms True Node and Mean Node both refer to the same thing: the North Node.

The North Node describes what a person is meant to accomplish in this life, while the South Node represents what they are still carrying with them from past lives. The North Node represents the ideal direction of a soul’s evolution, while the South Node represents past life patterns, baggage, and issues that still need to be addressed. Understanding and incorporating the true node in astrological practice can enhance self-awareness and personal growth.

What is the difference between mean and true nodes?

A True Node is the precise location of the North Node at a specific moment in time, which can be easily calculated by computers. On the other hand, the Mean Node is the average of the variations occurring over time. This is useful in an era without household computers, handheld supercomputers, and smart devices. An ephemeris detailing every degree, minute, and second of the North Node’s movement would have numerous entries for even a short period.

A Mean Node, on the other hand, would calculate the average over a range of about 2 degrees, ensuring accuracy without compromising the measuring process. This is similar to the Standard Deviation in statistics, which is the tolerance for being close enough to be considered accurate without compromising the measurement.

Does everyone have a South Node?

All individuals possess a north and south node in their natal chart, situated in the opposing signs. An understanding of these nodes can assist in identifying areas for growth and fulfillment in life, thereby enabling individuals to progress towards their goals.

Which house represents physical appearance in astrology?

The House of Astrology represents the individual’s physical appearance, temperament, and birth body. Natal planets in the First House, such as Mercury and Moon, have a significant impact on life, influencing new projects, ideas, and perspectives. This House corresponds with Aries energy. The Second House deals with personal finances, material possessions, and value, governing money and emotions. Transiting planets in the Second House indicate changes in resources or self-esteem.

This House corresponds with Taurus energy. The Third House governs communication, transportation, and the local community, driven by expression and helping build relationships. Natal planets in the Third House are driven by expression and provide crucial information about the individual’s immediate network. Ensuring the nurturing of this part of the chart is crucial for problem resolution and maintaining relationships.

What is the energy of the North Node?

The North and South Nodes in astrology represent the two halves of our karmic journey. The North Node represents the experiences needed for spiritual growth, while the South Node represents the kind of person you’re leaving behind, highlighting natural talents and areas of excel. Both are not separate entities but part of a whole, sitting directly opposite each other in the sky. Over-reliance on the North Node can lead to stagnation, as growth requires risk and discomfort. It’s crucial to avoid overindulging in the familiar strengths of the South Node at the expense of developing the North Node.

In 12 Zodiac Signs, the North Node placement challenges you to develop confidence independently, as Aries is associated with fierce independence. Over time, you’ll learn to embrace this quality and step into your North Node destiny.

What is your South Node?

What is your South Node?

The South Node represents the lessons and wisdom you were born with, reflecting your past life and spiritual comfort zone. It is often viewed as an expert, revealing familiar themes and easily achievable themes. The North Node represents your future path and the energy needed to fulfill your soul’s mission. It offers insight into passions, talents, and growth needed to reach your full potential. However, these qualities are often not innate and must be learned to live the life your soul aspires to experience.

Everyone has the Lunar Nodes in their complete astrological profile, known as the birth chart. To access these symbols, plug your information into an astrology software like TimePassages or Astro. com. Look for the two horseshoe-like symbols on your chart.

What determines your north and South Node?

What determines your north and South Node?

The Lunar Nodes are coordinates, not physical objects like planets or asteroids. They are calculated based on the orbits and locations of celestial bodies, like Black Moon Lilith. The Moon spins around Earth like a dreidel, with a slight wobble, and it crosses paths with Earth’s orbit around the Sun at its highest (North Node) and lowest (South Node) points. This slant causes eclipses when the Sun and Moon intersect the Lunar Nodes.

It takes the Moon 18 years to complete a full “nodal orbit”, a full cycle of its own wobbling, different from its 28-day orbit of Earth. The North and South Nodes make a full rotation approximately every 18 years, meaning the Nodes stay in the same zodiac sign for approximately 1. 5 years before switching zodiac signs.

What is your true node in astrology?

Your North Node, also known as your “true node”, is a crucial component in your astrological profile, determining your fate and spiritual purpose. It is associated with karma and is a product of past life experiences. Unlike planets in your birth chart, which represent your traits and habits, your North Node is a point in your chart that indicates your life’s purpose. To understand your North Node’s karma or purpose, you need to understand the qualities and motivations of the sign it’s stationed in.

For instance, if your North Node is in humanitarian Aquarius, your purpose is likely to be serving others and pushing your community towards a progressive future. However, your fate is likely associated with social justice, politics, or community-led nonprofit organizations.

What is my North Node in human design?

The North Node represents potential achievements and positive attitudes, encouraging change and exploration to reach one’s full potential. It also encourages examining past lifestyle and relationship patterns to identify areas of comfort and challenges. The South Node, on the other hand, represents the past and the comfort zone, urging individuals to examine their past habits and relationships to improve their current situation. Astrologer Angel Eyedealism suggests that the South Node provides insight into the challenges to be overcome in life.

How to see physical appearance in astrology?

In astrology, the ascendant/First house is believed to influence a person’s physical appearance, with the sign and planets in that house believed to be significant factors.

Does everyone have a North Node?

All individuals possess a north and south node in their natal chart, situated in the opposing signs. An understanding of these nodes can assist in identifying areas for growth and fulfillment in life, thereby enabling individuals to progress towards their goals.

How do you figure out your North Node?

How do you figure out your North Node?

The natal chart contains two horseshoe-like symbols: the upright horseshoe (north node) and the upside-down horseshoe (south node). The north node represents the unique direction each individual is called to explore and become. It may be unknown to us, but waiting in that space is fulfillment. As we encounter unknown things, we often stumble, make mistakes, and face challenges. However, these mistakes and challenges are where we find profound growth.

The mundane moments of our human reality remind us that the spiritual realm can only be accessed by sinking into our humanness. Our arrival at a place defines our destiny and purpose, as well as our journey there and who we become in the process.

  • It was easier being my Aries self when I was younger, then when I got verbally criticized by fam/friends, I started to get in the south node energy. Now 32, putting myself first is more rewarding than ever. Still a work in progress, but definitely ruffling feathers. Independence is satisfying, and I have it in my 10th house (along with my sun in Aries) so…I’ve gotta press forward & follow my destiny! Another great & informative article ❤️🙌🏾

  • damn you just basically described my life. it’s hard for me to speak up bc i don’t want to upset people. i’ve been in relationships were in always giving and feel so empty. i’ve had friends were they just want me around when it’s convenient to them and i would always say yes BUT that’s changing. i am putting myself first and taking control of my life manifesting thank you for this article 💛

  • Boom well explained bro, a great way to do it is affirmations on the wall that you read night and morning to remind you to 1. Put yourself first in everything 2. In this situation what is right for me. 3. Think first before you decide on something and are you putting yourself first. 4 Stop people-pleasing Need a constant reminder because its so easy to slip up

  • I’m 33 and It’s so interesting that so much of balancing the energies of my north node (in Aries) occured many, many years before I even knew what a Saturn return was. As a tween/teen I naturally became more assertive, a leader, and learned to speak up for my needs and desires. It only took ONE relationship in my early twenties to never make the mistake of letting someone “lead” me again. I LOVE being by myself (probably has a lot to do with my Pisces sun & Scorpio ascendant) and thrive in the periods between relationships when I’m by myself working on myself and my vision. Give thanks 🙏🏾

  • stop being so co dependent, put yourself first. relationships aren’t everything, you don’t always need someone. independent leader, THINK ABOUT YOURSELF! you’re not being selfish. if you’re stuck in your comfort zone, you won’t change. work towards aries characteristics. when you’re working on yourself, put your all into it and think about yourself a lot. you’ll attract people who respect you for being independent. dominate, conquer, asserts yourself more. try not to care so much about what people think about you. if people don’t understand it, they’re not for you. be assertive, speak up for yourself, stand up for yourself, BE MORE ASSERTIVE. if you don’t walk towards this, i will not improve myself in life. LEAD, LEADER. be more selfish, you’re already a people pleaser, therefore you’re not an asshole. no more fearing being alone.

  • Came here from the North Node in the 1st house article. I lost my fear of being alone when I learned to love myself. You can’t be afraid of something you truly love. When you forgive and love yourself, everything gets better. Not saying you have to love everything you do, but that’s where the forgiveness comes in. Self Forgiveness is just as strong as self love. Just make sure you learn your lesson and do your best to refrain from those actions in the future, then carry on. Forgive and forget about feeling guilty about it! It does nothing but infect happiness.

  • I’m turning 35 in October 😪 and I am just learning about my own horoscope chart. perusal and listening to this article, there are so many things that totally fits my current situation. I’ve been in a relationship for 17 years and since like good 2 years I feel that urge to get of my comfort zone and lead my life the way I really want to. My relationship is not the greatest neither and I am realizing that this relationship is keeping me from doing me, it’s like me being chained. 2 months ago I started with tarot readings for myself, I’m learning about Christals, I’m learning about meditation, manifestations.

  • I started learning about this a couple years ago when I was 31!!! Truth be told I started feeling really uncomfortable with my life around 29/30, like I needed a ‘new life’. It’s so interesting to find out that my south node was influencing my relationship patterns and career choice even. Now that i have been gaining knowledge, I am making the right adjustments. Thanks for the info♥️👌

  • I’ve never seen a article like this shake me up so much! I now thought of the leeches that I feed just because I feel like I can talk to someone. Wow! I am already quite independent, I managed to escape from a system at work just by entering the world of men, and knowing that I could not speak to them. Wow! how I’m impacted. this article I have to watch 2x in the month to refresh my mission

  • I seriously could not be more thankful that I was guided so randomly to your articles. I have felt a DEEP need to learn and understand astrology for a long time, but I was totally on the wrong path. All that changed early Dec 2020 and since then I’ve bought books that I cant get through among trying other things and your articles are the first that are truly finally helping me get to where ive been craving to be. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart!!! This makes so much sense why I’ve been married and divorced twice at only 34, and have now because of my spiritual journey, something told me to commit to being single for one year. I’ve always thought of myself as really independent, but somehow super codependent at the same time. I always felt soooo comfortable in my relationships, but not truly happy. It’s because I NEED time alone (my plants almost all on the North Hemisphere) but wasnt giving it to myself. Now I am and so much is happening and changing. I’m so much happier than I’ve ever been – being single for basically the first time since I was 16.. and this is only the beginning as it hasn’t even been 2mo yet! I’m so excited 😊😁

  • Thank you! My spiritual journey has found a spiritual guide! The “deep depression” overshadowed so many experiences in my life and the feeling of living in “unconsciousness”. You’ve revealed the tendencies I felt I had no control of because I didn’t understand myself and led me to being subjected to abuse. Mind Blown

  • Yes. I realized after learning about my Aries NN ♈️ and being a Libra 🌞 & 🌚 that putting myself first and being assertive while trusting my own decisions is my biggest challenge. Definitely has taken time to be confident in being in that “star” vs co-star role. I used to think my voice, opinions, ideas didn’t matter and it took me so long to realize that’s what’s actually needed. Ahhh! Thank you yet again for dope content. (IG: @native.remedy) 🤙🏽 The universe knows what it’s doing because my daughter who is an Aries/such a firecracker 🧨 lol go figure chose me as her mom to teach me also in this life. She also has Aries NN ♈️ we definitely balance each other’s energies and my other daughter / my sweet pea is a Libra with Capricorn NN

  • OH. MY. GOSH. Thank you! You are just right on point with everything here! I have a hard time being assertive but when I am, it always helps me in the long run way more than if I weren’t assertive. I will be sure to continue being aware of when I am worried about other’s opinions and be sure to be honest.

  • Very well explained. I can say that I was definitely in south node energy for a long time, I started coming out it slowly I’ve been heading in the right direction but stuck in between that Libra and Aries energy. This has completely opened my eyes to what I need to do. I just couldn’t make that connection as to what was going on. I was feeling weird trying to still be nice when I really needed to jump on over become the fire and push back all the takers and just crappy people in my way! I don’t know how that reads, but trust I have made the connection, found the piece of the puzzle. That stagnant transition can make you feel so weird. Thank goodness for this article! Ty

  • I’m at 7:14… it’s 100% on Target 🎯 for me so far… I was always a great, great, great athlete but always made others before me, supporting role even when I was the better athlete. Same thing in all my relationships… I have been doing and have done a ton of Personal development trainings, Energy Healing and still go to energy healers etc. My #1 Issue was to learn how to stand up for myself and assert myself to get what I want because my entire life I have always helped others get what they want…. And at 28 I went through a huge awakening that lasted for 6 months… and since then I went through a break up and didn’t’ date for 4 years and have since then spent a lot of alone time to be with myself to find myself…

  • My North Node is in Aries. I am learning so much from your articles. I all ways had this urge to be independent but found it comfortable to be in a relationship. Now I understand. Thank you! Keep up with the great articles! Also are you coming out with a article about signs in Saturn and the other planets?

  • This is SOOOOO Helpful. I have been repeating a cycle of being codependent in relationships and I HATE doing it, i feel so weak and powerless but its such a deep habit. I have had partners tell me they want me to be more dominating, to take more control. You’re dead on when you say its way out of the comfort zone but I have to do it, no choice. Thank you so much!

  • Wow! Thank you so much for helping me understand myself more. at 35 I just realized that I need to use my voice more and stand Up for myself When things Bother me. now I understand why all this time I let certain things slide that hurt me. It was my libra self. Im so glad I know my purpose Now. I needed this💯

  • My lady and I have just been binging your articles because we’ve been wanting to research more about our charts and we came across your articles. We are in a sort of “polyamorous” relationship. I’m a Cancer sun, Sag Rising, Pisces Moon, Venus Gemini, she is a Scorpio Sun, Aqua Moon, Cap Rising, Venus Scorp and our man is an Aquarius with a Taurus Moon, unknown rising but with Venus Sag. So far we are loving your articles and getting exactly all the information we wanted! Cannot wait to see your Aqua North Node, that is mine, both my partners are Aries NN :P!

  • Lordy, I’m the oldest of 4 and remember being younger & wanting to do my own thing sometimes but my parents said I was selfish because of that then, the strict religion I was in kept me down saying God & errbody else first, so I really became comfortable being 2cnd even tho I really had dreams of stepping out front. I sang but kept it basic and so on. This is so powerful because I have errbody 💯 cept for myself and I needed it the most 🤦🏽‍♀️ married 18yrs 2 the wrong person is the perfect example but you know religion guilts you in that way as well. I love this so much 👑✨ 💚✨👑

  • Appreciate the info bro…… It’s over I already feel it. I’m 22 about to be 23 and I just realized after perusal this article what’s been happening to me. A lot of people in my life right now are very head strong people and it pulled out my assertiveness which made a few of them relationships fizzle out but they served their purpose and now it’s getting easier to be more aries.

  • I’m 34 but 28 was wen I started to change wen I noticed things was what they are .. but this resonates a lot with me.. but im literally in a push and pull situation right now … damn.. u so right imin a relationship where im drastically tryna encourage my partner that they are more .. and I have never been the front man but know that I could do it .. and yes I so feel selfish wen i put myself first.. yea I have a libra friend and she does actually wat u say omg im so overwhelmed right now and my life number is 1 .. geeez …. its so much I think I need to start a website…. lawrd .. think imma just start a vlog and talk about my story ..

  • I had a dream where Santa Claus was the main character,…. He is from the north pole; my north node is in Ares ! My destiny is drawing me towards that energy… I am at the present, in a position where I am being forced to be independent, and take on positions of authority ! I was just offered a position of authority, on my job ! That is indeed a north node experience ! The position is definitely something I want, but also am aware that I will be dragged out of my comfort zone ! I’m so used to being the ” co – star ” of everyone’s movie ! I suppose that the ” powers that be” have determined that my time for leadership has arrived – ready or not ! I also have a 1 life path number…. You are a very knowledgeable astrologer !

  • Interesting. I am co depending financially on my partner and I did this in my last marriage too. I can feel my energy wanting to free myself of this cycle, I am very selfish in a way that I always put my needs and wants before everything. but I do love and care for those closest to me! Like parter, mom and dad but that’s it. I am always getting pushed to take on leader roles and I have done them before and yes it brings the best out of me! I am 34 and yes it has taken me forever to be the leader I am literally terrified tho many people tell me I am so good at it.

  • Saturn return explains why I had a breakdown @ 28 🙈🙈🙈🙈…. I’m 34 and I cried because I’m sick of being independent, being the boss and following my north node, plus saving myself and all my other analytical parts and the reward hasn’t come yet like this internal fight is real but least I know I’m not crazy 😩😩😩

  • Having a North node like this is very hard, bc every placement of mine is meant to give give and give, humanitarianism comes naturally to me especially helping people without expecting something back, pisces is very prominent in my chart it lies in my career house where midheaven, mercury also lies. And in the same house i also have north node in aries, so my north node is against whatever I want to do, i wanto serve people naturally.

  • thank you for your articles! So helpful! ❤️ Every time I watched another vid according to my birth chart Iam like: sh*t, what the hell was I thinking when I chose my soul journey for this lifetime? 😂 Multiple Libra in my chart e.g. and it doesnt feel like conflict in me…it feels like WW3! 😆 But challenge accepted 💪🏻

  • I can so relate to this My North node is 0 aries I found myself alone When my 2nd husband left me in 2014. I did not know what to do with myself. I had always been matched up. I am married again now. But I know that feeling of being alone and it lasted for non months. That was a very difficult time for me. I do need to learn how to be OK with being alone in case I’m ever alone again. I dread it. I fear it. My sun is in libra in the 10th house . My husband and I are truck drivers and we drive team so we are always together. Before he started drivinf with me I was solo Or I was teaming with strangers and it was very hard

  • The universe has a sense of humor I guess. Lol North node in the 1st house, in cancer 😂 wow…well I definitely fulfilled the Cancer side of this conundrum. Definitely didn’t wait for my Saturn returned…right now I’m moving towards my Aries energy. I’ve been doing a lot self work and healing. Time to stop being the costar. You hit the nail on the head saying we feel empty. Yet I definitely laid down roots and built a legacy for my bloodline as North Node in cancer suggests….anyway, yeah the universe definitely has a sense of humor lol

  • Fuuck, get this: I’m an Aries NN in 7th house. At 28, I stopped being a social butterfly. I was an extreme social butterfly up til then, always in relationship since age 16, and never lived alone either. At 28, I was just over it, and I spent tons of time alone, although I was still in a relationship and I had a roommate. At 30, my 5 year relationship ended the day I told him I was pregnant, and I became a single mom and lived on my own for the first time. Now I’m 34. I’ve been single these 4 years, and I’m still working on myself and this new life.

  • I have nn in 1h this is so accurate. I been knowing ny nn was in 1h/aries a long time ago. But I’m so ready to began stepping into this energy. This explains why I feel so lost when it comes to myself and identity. Each time I try to step into this energy of putting myself first and doing something solely for me, I get so much pushback from the people around me and I feel guilty for it. Not realizing I shouldn’t care what anyone thinks of me and to follow through with my personal goals and soul destiny. No matter what. 🤎

  • I’m Aries north node and libra south node with a libra Venus 🤦 it’s been hard but I feel like I’m in my Aries north node energy because I been through so much shit … Ion even want a relationship no more lol I been single and celibate for 2 years. I have my own business and a Coroprate job . I am successful and don’t need anyone

  • I’m curious how trauma could effect your progress. I feel that I became very independent around 30, now I’m 36, I feel like I’ve been at a stand still for a few years. I’ve been single for 10 years haha 😂 I experienced trauma in my early 20s, curious as to how that effects one’s progress or are we simply presented with trauma to simply help us grow?

  • I feel in myself a trully desire tô compet um MMA,used tô traning fighting since always, life look like always beat me,i grow get beat on streets, gang fight,10.x 1 beating since kid…look like universe want me always fighting. Um 35 and try keep away that Savage World, but some inside yells for fighting and compet,i feel like demons Voice or destiny God Voice…i feel indecise…but now,i feel that urge and really Go to my Path. By the way,no job,no oportunities…look like universe askme for braveness.

  • I have a question: Doesn’t it seem like all the people born around the same specific period have the same south nodes, meaning they were alllll a certain sign in their past life/naturally have those tendencies/characteristics, and sort of all lined up to be born in the same time period? So in terms of rebirth, all past-life libras are born around the same time, then-going backwards since the south node moves clockwise on the chart-past life virgos, then leos, then cancers etc? I had always thought it was so random, like all people born today would all be unique and different, and they are but if they all share the same nodes they’re pretty much striving towards the same goal this lifetime, right? Am i right in theorizing that there is actually a method to birth or rebirth and we cycle through it in order according to who we were before (south node) and where we’re going now (north node)? So then being born at that moment was not random at all, and babies wait till the sky lines up just right to come out into the world-their soul must know. Or am i completely off?
