What Is The Astrological Sign Of Mars?

Mars is a planet in astrology that represents passion, primal instincts, and sexual desires. It is located in the sign of Aries, meaning it can act first and then figure out the rest later. Aries is the first of the fire signs, and having a Mars sign indicates your vitality, energy level, and style in taking action. In astrology, Mars is associated with action, libido, assertion, and aggression.

Mars is classified as a malefic, or a trigger for challenges, and rules over both the zodiac signs Scorpio and Aries. Scorpio connects with the strategic side of battle, while Aries aligns with the physical and explosive side of conflict. Mars’ placement in your chart can affect your survival instincts when you feel threatened.

In astrology, Mars is the ruler of aggro Aries, the first sign of the zodiac. It is the planet of passion, anger, war, assertion, and separation, and its placement in your birth chart indicates how you pursue your goals. The planet shares its name with the Roman god of war, so it’s all about aggression, survival, and the pursuit of goals.

Mars is the ruling planet of the emotionally deep sign of Scorpio and the fiery leader of the zodiac, Aries. It symbolizes desire, drive, energy, and sexuality, and its placement in your birth chart can shed light on your sexuality, energy, and desires.

In summary, Mars is the planet of passion, anger, war, assertion, and separation, and its placement in your birth chart can reveal your energy, desires, and actions. By entering your birth date, you can determine your Mars sign and learn more about your life and career.

How do you determine your Mars sign?

Identifying your Mars sign can be done by using an online calculator or having an astrologer read your birth chart. The key is to determine whether you need to control or work with your Mars. If your Mars is in Aries, you are trusting your instincts and tend to be direct and impulsive. Your energy is fueled by a fire that can fuel anger, but once it cools, you can forgive and forget. Mars is more supportive than any other sign, so it’s important to avoid letting it control you.

If your Mars is in Taurus, you are a strong, stable, and highly sensual individual. Anger isn’t a problem, but you can become a raging bull when upset. Patience and long-term goals are your strengths. You’re also skilled at enjoying earthy and multisensorial pleasures.

What is a powerful Mars sign?

Mars, a fiery planet, is associated with courage, determination, and a pioneering spirit. It motivates individuals to fight for their goals and work hard to achieve them. However, Mars can also bring anger, impulsiveness, and aggression. When Mars has difficult aspects in a birth chart, it can lead to conflicts and acting without thinking. On the positive side, Mars brings bravery, assertiveness, and a strong sense of purpose.

Mars’ position in the zodiac signs reflects its energy expression. Aries, its ruling sign, is strong, characterized by energetic, dynamic, and natural leaders. Taurus, its ruling sign, channels energy steadily, known for endurance and determination. Gemini, its ruling sign, makes Mars intellectual and communicative, enjoying mental challenges. Cancer, its emotional nature softens Mars’ aggressive energy, making it difficult to express anger directly.

The house where Mars is located in a birth chart affects the life area where its energy will be most felt. Mars in the First House affects a person’s personality and approach to life, while Mars in the Fourth House brings energy to home and family life. Mars in the Seventh House affects relationships and partnerships, leading to passionate and sometimes contentious relationships.

Mars transits and progressions can trigger important events in a person’s life, with a return occurring every two years, marking a time for new energy and setting new goals. Understanding Mars helps us understand our motivations and how we use our inner strength to navigate life’s battles.

Which zodiac does Mars rule?

Which zodiac does Mars rule?

Mars, a malefic planet, governs the zodiac signs Scorpio and Aries, known for their reactive and argumentative nature. It is less effective when placed in the opposite signs, such as Libra or Taurus, or in the earth sign Capricorn. Mars is also the creative life force, governing physical energy, stamina, and assertiveness. It can indicate how we approach competition and confrontations, channel aggression, and provide insight into hobbies, passions, talents, and exercise preferences.

Mars spends six to seven weeks in one zodiac sign, depending on the retrograde phase, which occurs every two years. During this phase, Mars moves backward in the sky, causing a temporary shift in how we express our desires, motivations, and assertiveness. This can cause progress to slow down, especially for Mars-ruled zodiac signs like Scorpio and Aries, as these placements are most affected.

What is Mars in a birth chart?

Mars, the planet of passion, anger, war, assertion, and separation, is associated with pursuing goals, asserting oneself, and defending against external threats. It also indicates how one uses their skills for protection and competition. Mars also symbolizes sex life, allowing one to tap into primal instincts and disseminate creative and sexual energy. Venus, the receptive energy, is associated with harmony and receiving, while Mars, the fiery energy, is more focused on projecting outwards.

Both have their place in the bedroom, and their placement in the natal chart can reveal inexplicable chemistry, a powerful, animalistic attraction driven by passion. Mars, regardless of sex or gender identity, symbolizes peacocking behavior to potential mates, indicating a strong connection to one’s mate.

What does the Mars sign mean in astrology?

Mars is the planet associated with outward activity, animal passion, sexual drive, aggression, and anger. It rules Aries and is exalted in Capricorn. Mars is masculine and can indicate a volatile temper and great courage. Its position in the chart indicates how personality will assert itself and what modes of activity will stimulate physical energies or anger. Mars’s placement in the birth chart is crucial, as it conjuncts the new planet Eris, squares the Saturn/Pluto midpoint, and opposes the new planet Haumea, representing Natural Law. On September 9th, Mars retrogrades in Aries for a subsequent return to these positions.

What is a weak Mars sign?

A weak Mars in a birth chart can result in a reduction in assertiveness and personal achievement. In order to gain an accurate understanding of Mars, it is necessary to consider both strong and weak positions. Mars is the ruler of competitive Aries and the 1st house, but its influence is less pronounced in controlled Scorpio and the 8th house.

How do you identify Mars?

Planets are characterized by their distinct colors, with Mercury being white-ish, Venus bright white, Mars rust-orange, Jupiter light tan, and Saturn yellow-ish tan. To identify which planets are visible in your night sky, it is essential to know their visibility throughout the year and year to year. It is also crucial to note that not all five planets can be seen simultaneously or in one night. To begin, consult online resources that can help you determine what’s visible in your sky at night.

Is Mars a water sign?

Is Mars a water sign?

In Vedic thought, each of the five planets is linked to an element, with space being the fifth. Everything emanated from the basic vibration of “Om” or “Aum”, which led to the five elemental vibrations representing the five different tattwas (or elements). Jupiter represents Space, Saturn represents Air, Mars represents Fire, Mercury represents Earth, and Venus represents Water. In traditional Chinese theory, matter and its developmental movement stage can be classified into the Wu Xing, with Wood ruler Jupiter, Fire ruler Mars, Earth ruler Saturn, Metal ruler Venus, and Water ruler Mercury.

However, the essence of the Wu Xing is about the notion of five stages, rather than five types of material. Ptolemy modified the rulerships of Water triplicity, making Mars the ruler of the water triplicity for both day and night charts.

What sign is Mars in now?

The current planetary positions are as follows: Sun at 02° Libra 22′ 41, Moon at 04° Cancer 30′ 33, Mercury at 27° Virgo 27′ 53, Venus at 02° Scorpio 15′ 17, and Mars at 11° Cancer 36′ 52. Those requiring attention are identified, including mothers, the media, the internet, publishing, the postal service, and those who disseminate information.

  • I do! 12th house Mars and Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. I’m sensitive to everything in my environment. I wish I stopped listening before the epiphany you just dropped on me. I’ve learned more about myself today than I ever wanted to know, haha. I work in supportive services! I’ve got to find something else, haha. *second the minimalism suggestion. I realized I could not keep my house clean because I cannot solve my own problems. I’m focused so far elsewhere. Getting rid of everything that doesn’t have a place helps me to keep organized. I’m so happy that ended strongly. I’ll keep doing my job, I’m pretty okay at it. Whew.

  • My daughter & I both have Mars in Pisces & so did my mother. We’ve all been through some “situations”. Daughter is a therapist, mother was a reclusive reader & writer. I’m an artist & musician. I also have an insatiable hunger for all things astrological & or spiritual/religious. Also, I have had a few ET experiences…thx I appreciate your perspective 😉

  • I have Mars in Pisces,…and your explanation of this placement has been by far THE BEST!!!..no one else has ever been able to explain it..everything you said resonates with me all the way to my closeness with God..when I was a child I would sit in my room by myself and pray,..it always feels like God and I can talk to each other and I’ve had so many prayers answered….this was amazing…Thank You for understanding,..this placement is def. interesting and it does have challenges …but having God beside me WHO can go against me!?..

  • Awesome interpretation. Mars in Taurus here. Always loved music, been one of my greatest passions. My Memere got me my first drumset for Christmas when I was 5,, before then I was building sets out of cardboard boxes & pans. My Moon is in Dhanishta(Symbol is literally a hand drum) My Chart is ruled by Mercury(Virgo Ascending) of which rules String instruments, my Memere being the Lovely woman she is(Pisces Sun)gifted me my first acoustic guitar on my 12th Christmas. I am also sometimes inspired to paint, draw& write. I usually drum& play guitar daily, it helps me stay grounded by transmuting the negative with a positive redirecting frustrations. Being a Alchemist transforming Lead to Gold. My Memere also got me fascinated with Ancient Egypt as a youngster, I sometimes fantasized about being an Archeologist. I could go on with how accurate all of your interpretation was spot on. Thank you for sharing your wisdom& energy. -All the Best!

  • I have mars in piscis, and I just felt so understanded rigth now. Thank you, all you said was on point for me. The feeling on not fiting nowhere, yet being able to connect in an emphatic and loving way with every single soul. I’m really connected to spirituallity, God, angels and other beings, also art and creation in a very free and experimental way. I´ve had many existencial crisis and a looooot of transformative process in my life, and I’m only 20! I’m also really interested in death, althoungh its such a taboo topic. Thank you for your article and your beautiful way of communicating, it made me feel calm and loved. Ligth hugs from Spain!

  • Spot on again (that relationship with abandonment). I’m mars in cancer. Bio mother gave me up to be adopted by Americans. Then adoptive parents abused me. In order to begin the process of ending abandonment within myself, I chose estrangement as an adult since my adoptive parents’ behaviors never changed.

  • Early Mars in Aries🔥, very aggressive lol, but in the 12th! (Sidenote: I’m a Aries Rising, with Mars in Aries, Mars is my most dominant planet in my chart AND i was born on a Tuesday -the day ruled by Mars-, so the aggressiveness must come from all that combo). I resonated a LOT to the Mars in Pisces description (since the 12th house is ruled by Pisces), even a little mora than in Aries, idk, i consider myself very spiritual, and i do feel like I have that “Midas touch” when i wanna have it, like rejuvenating stuff/bring them back to life. It is indeed a very out-of-this-world energy. Thanks for the insights Sky!❤️

  • Mars in Pisces, and its so interesting I’ve watched all your planet articles so many times. And a new friend just came into my life and everything has changed, and I feel like I never heard that part in the article before till just then when I was showing her and you talk about it and your spot on. Thanks for being so pivotal in my knowledge and understanding of astrology. Also fellow Leo Rising xx

  • Mars in Virgo for me. Environment for me is everything. If I stay in the house, I become self-indulgent and not very productive. Once I get my shoes on and leave, I go into productivity mode and suddenly I want to do things. The bit about being frazzled with the synapses and the need for distractions and stimulus is very apt. I was diagnosed with ADD at a very young age and its affected my life very deeply. If I cannot find some way to produce dopamine to stimulate my daily tasks, I’ll often neglect them. I feel like my biggest issues is switching gears. When I’m at home, I don’t want to do anything. When I’m at work, I don’t want to go home, I’d rather work. When I get off work, I sometimes look for things to do rather than go home. Being leveraged is also apt. I cannot abide being in positions against my will (which didn’t help my already bad relationship with teachers growing up). If I do not like my job, I will not stay. If I do not like my classes, I will struggle/fail/drop. If I feel I am being controlled or manipulated, I will see that for what it is and refuse to play ball. I hated attending school growing up, not just because it was so difficult for me to focus, but also because it was not my decision or desire to go- I was mandated to. Its definitely a placement that requires a lot of mindfulness and will to work through, because its very easy to become overly passive.

  • Mars in Pisces here…Thanks Sky! Always solid info and such a pure, true resonating websiteling and understanding of the pieces of ourselves. One thing I might add, and I could be wrong as a Cancer sun, Scorpio rising…but I’ve felt my Mars in Pisces causes me to often gets entangled in other peoples sorrows and trauma and pain or misfortune, trying to help continuously gets me taken advantage of (not materially, but emotionally or physically by having to be there etc.) This could also be the “fixer” thing you talked about!

  • So, I’m gonna have to listen to THIS at least a hundred more times. Mars in Scorpio. The things I caught the easiest were the little jokes. I’ve mentioned this before, I think you have a great sense of humor. Very quick yet very quiet. Hopefully I’ll pick up the astrological jargon better soon. Thanks Skye. ☮️from♓️

  • Mars in Pisces here! Definitely resonate with the death energy. If I ever want or need to change something with my own will it typically involves a complete death of the old me rather than just a transition. It often feels like what I was doing before was a waste of time but now with this info, I feel like it was just an old incarnation ending and another beginning within one lifetime

  • Hi! My Mars is in Libra & I’m very good at giving advice, I’m sought out even by strangers sometimes. And when you said to ask for your coworkers to keep it down, my stomach immediately dropped. I really appreciate the advice, too many times I read or listen about my placements and very few give advice. So good Sky! Thank you for this and everything else!

  • You never fail to read me to filth . I am mars in cancer and my relationship with my children is very hard for me to accept . I have always done my best but my circumstances have made it hard for me to be the mother I would have really wanted to be . I have quite a few placements in detriment and this one is no different in helping me understand why my life has been so hard .

  • I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your mars in Taurus analysis. There’s not enough thanks for the understanding I finally have because of this article. Mars projecting out that Taurus quality is not very fun for the girl that finds it’s a projection. When they figure they can just control me like a spineless Don Juan, then find out otherwise, they end up hating me with all their heart. Now, I know what they were going through. Thank you !

  • Thank you so much, this has been really eye opening for me. Mars in Taurus, sun in Aries, moon in Leo and rising in Aquarius. When you said that people don’t necessarily know what to do with me, I had to laugh, because I collect that trait on so many levels, and it’s so true 😅. Astrology has opened doors into living better with myself, like nothing else had. Thank you ❤️

  • Mars in Aquarius – I really resonate with breaking up control dynamics of especially power mongering people and fighting fire with fire. I work with technology, live broadcast as a heretic-witch and when it comes to focus, I have autism (highIQ) and ADHD. I feel best around people with plenty of friends and yes – desire to impact the collective. Spot on.

  • I’ve been studying Astrology for a few years and hope to become a practicing astrologer in a few years and I absolutely LOVE these articles!! They are great for people who just want to hear about their own placements, and they are great for budding astrologers to get a little background about each planets potential placements. Thanks for making these!! I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

  • Wow! Mind Blown! I have Mars in Aquarius and when you talked about being placed in the life of someone who is has a lot of angry energy that answered so many questions for me regarding one of my close personal relationships. I wondered why we were placed together. We don’t speak the same language and he sees me as the antagonist. I never realized that I was there for him and not just there to be his trigger. I really have been praying for insight about this and you have given this to me. I also appreciate all the information about being impactful even if it is in my small role. Thank you!

  • Hey You, Yes I hit the like sign. I subscribed a couple of articles back. Winner .. .. Winner..Chicken Dinner. Kinda Funny! I would like you to know, that I love the fact you use unique verbiage when describing a planet. Their like jazzy words..yet befitting. I get you. It’s not like your not already aware of this…but I’ll say it anyways.. You are absolutely doing what you were born to do!! What a gift. With that being said; Mars in Pisces… Wow! There are so many truths and correlations. It was interesting to hear your philosophies and beliefs, findings on these two. Also, it was helpful in hearing a particular way you would describe something, and how your description would make a certain area not as cloudy as it had previously been for me. This was a huge help! I get you..I appreciate the fact you use your ‘Jazzy Words’ 🤍 I have a tendency to feel…… Maybe the word would be ‘Cra-Cra.. I feel Cra-Cra, when I’m not able to describe something in the manner I’m wishing to convey. You’ve shed light on a few different aspects. Thank you.. a few of the things that are spot on are: interest in the unknown, void, makes a shift in the lives of others, spirituality, has most emotional capacity, can be an escapist, flatline, a lot of psychic capacity, artist, god energy. Again I thank you. I’ve listened to your Moon in Virgo and Venus in Taurus. I hit the like button both times.. I will continue to on with you.. Blessings, much love, light and laughter~OM~Linda I will look for you on Instagram.

  • My Father, may he rest in Peace, had Mars in Libra. He had a great “inner-knowing”. Due to his violent and abusive childhood, I don’t think he was able to transmute Libra Mars to it’s fullest potential but he always came off as a smart guy. Tons of street-smarts and loads of common sense. “Angry inner narrative” FOR SURE. I’m an Aries mars and him and I battled for sure. It was a battle of wills till the bitter end. 🖤

  • You’re so amazing and so wonderful at Astrology I am absolutely blown away and flabbergasted by the talent that you have I am a Capricorn Sun, Mars in Capricorn also and a Scorpio Moon & Scorpio Venus so to hear you speak about Capricorn Mars and more specifically the Scorpio Moon which I deeply feel and never knew this about myself….. just absolutely hammered home the truth about the deep energetic body or emotional body finding healthy way of expression! Music Art Or Writing, letting go releasing what no longer serves or using the power of creativity to take action on our passions, share what is to be gained from painful experiences and acceptance, truly transmuting that! Thank you so much for your wisdom and compassion for all of us in this unique experience 🙏🏻♥️ deep gratitude 💗🙏🏻😊

  • Having only found your website this weekend I’m wondering why the algorithms have taken so long to reveal you in my feed! How lucky at last as I’m bowled over by your skill and articulation. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us. Mars in Pisces – what a generous and deeply layered explanation. I’m blown away! Truly insightful and enlightening, my Leo moon appreciates all the time you’ve given to help us learn!

  • Im pleased with the Neptune Mars conjunction lately. People repress their anger so much because they dont feel like they can do anything about the problems/injustices in the world and because its considered as bad, but I found that getting in touch with the feelings through music and exercise was powerful. I also have been experiencing curiosity towards taboos. The Mars energy has been a fire that can be like a moth to a flame but also fire is so purifying by breaking down old structures. Most have a one sided sense of Mars energy and “throw out the baby with the bathwater”.

  • Natal Mars @23° Cancer 8th house in a cardinal T-square with Uranus in Libra and Venus/Chiron in Aries. Needless to say transiting Pluto opposite natal Mars pretty much since 2018 (and still a couple of years to go) has proven rather… karmic, for lack of a better word. By the way, totally blown away by how astonishingly accurate your websiteings for Mars in Cancer and Scorpio were! Have been doing some intense inner healing work lately and deeply appreciate your reflections.

  • I have Mars in 4th house, so a few years ago I was driving and was listening to ” getting away with murder ” by papa roach and lord behold…accident happened and even though I like Rock, I realized that day to never listen to that genre while driving and I am or have experienced children/ parents issues with this placement, even with other people I have learned to be careful with what I say as they usually take things the wrong way or relationships not lasting; so to avoid misunderstandings I keep my circle small like less than 5 people and I’ve learned to live with it for my own sanity and I’m okay with it cause I like my company and meditations help a lot so thank you 🙏

  • Mars and Pluto in Scorpio in 4th house here.. I had a very confined childhood, not being able to do what I want but always what my parents wanted, like I had no voice. Very strict father as a child. I am always the mediator/healer in family arguments and trying to find my own place which will only have the necessities and no clutter. It was hard growing up, but now I think I have pretty thick skin on a lot of topics. Thank you for this article, really put things into perspective for me.

  • I have a 2nd house Mars (and Venus!) in Leo and you hit the nail on the head for everything! I always feel my best when I’m active on a regular basis and working on multiple projects at a time. I definitely struggle with feeling the need to have control and it’s come out in really negative ways to the point of having an eating disorder for years, but I’m growing. Love love love your content and sending you well wishes 💕

  • ✨Wow… this was so well done‼️ I absolutely learned AND actually absorbed 10 folds more than I EVER have by just studying books Astrology books on my own. 🙏Thank you so much for your teachings & interpretations! I recently discovered your work/videos, and I feel like my basic grasp/understanding of various planets & their placements has deepened considerably. A little side note for anyone else that is also trying to learn Astrology better, I printed out some free blank Astrology Wheels, and while listening to these very well made articles that lay out the various aspects & characteristics & their more concise breakdowns through each sign, I jot down my own notes 📝 on each. Something about also writing it down, helps solidify the info in my mind. ➡️Then, I keep each blank wheel chart w/ my notes that I’ve made for Venus, Mars, Neptune, or even the breakdown of the houses themselves in a binder. That way, when I’m wanting to better understand current aspects going on within Astrology… I can flip through my binder for the basic breakdowns when I get stuck on a particular planet, House, or sign. ✅ Thanks again for all your help!😘

  • My youngest daughter has Mars in Gemini 1 degree away from my Mercury in Gemini. We have such an amazing connection and riffing in conversation. My oldest has Mars in Leo–she really goes for what she wants and does well! Super focused! My Mars is in Aries. We’re good drivers too–although we have a tendency to speed. I do really expand and come alive when I take a big risk and succeed, especially when it’s an athletic activity, e.g. a flying trapeze class. I need to do that again. Hopefully in-person classes will come back! Interesting article, Sky!

  • Namaste Sky! You’ve simply done an amazing work here with this Mars presentation. Thank you so much for sharing all your wisdom and insights. I wish you had said a word about having Mars retrograde in the birth chart but I guess it changes too much stuff around again and it would have made this article twice as long ! Thank you again Sky, you’re a blessing 🙏

  • I have my Mars placement in Pisces and I can say everything you were saying resonated with me. I am very empathic towards others emotions, especially when I fall in love its like i become so attuned to that person’s emotions to the point I feel so connected with them which affects me sexually and spiritually. I am very emotionally intelligent and don’t really value early pleasures besides food lol but I know there needed in life. But keep spreading your wisdom on astrology you have gain a new subscriber

  • Mars in virgo, I was obese as a child and teenager, my whole life I’ve been dealing with health struggles and I feel like I’ve also been dieting and definitely learned to restrict myself a lot my whole life. I’m down to a healthy weight now and my whole life seems to revolve around my health, I’m always either going to boxing or doing yoga when I have time

  • Mars Reversed in Virgo, along with Moon, Pluto and Uranus in Virgo, all in the 11th House. I do know that in my Progressed Chart, Mars is no longer Reversed. Didn’t start having digestive issues until in my 50’s, but I’ve never been an angry, pushy person. I was always very quiet, shy and a pushover, now I’m standing myself.

  • I have learned over the years to look around me and see what is really bothering me. I’m on Mars and libra 0°. So sometimes I realize that I’m not upset with what I’m doing but I’m upset with like you said the lights flickering or someone’s tapping their pen continuously and it gets me frustrated, and then I’m mad at everything around me so I’ve learned over the years to find out what’s really getting under my skin.

  • Mars in Scorpio in the 6th. You are so spot on on the Karma effect to others. I have ppl coming to me from 10-20 years ago thanking me and praising me in how I helped them or how I positively touched their lives decades ago. They will go to extremes to find me so they can thank me. Since I have been doing this since I was under 10yrs old, I usually don’t remember them or how I actually helped them. Yes, I like to go away by myself to recharge which ppl think it’s strange or has ill intentions. Yes, I care about health, still have the same waist since high school and yes I do have digestive issues but I learned how to work with it by eating small and home cooked meals. I have a 4th virgo stellium as well with Gem ASC with Jup-moon conj, I work like a dog since 13 yrs old because I love it. I get in trouble for working till 4am, or in multiple projects. I started with zero just like you said.

  • Mars in Pisces, also have the Ascendant In Aquarius. I’ve always felt a little bit outside the norm. As a small child I would talk about these big subjects of who we are and our place in the universe. Sometimes it was lonely but I’ve always been connected to spirit and the earth. It does feel like my completely changes every so often. Honestly this is the best fitting descriptions I’ve found of my mars sign. Thank you 😀

  • Mars in Taurus – spot on! I majored in history, am working in the housing industry. Very artistic. Have attracted narcissists, one of which was an actual criminal abuser. I went hulk mode after one of his attacks choking me to the ground and ended up kicking a heavy glass object. My foot bone never stopped aching and this was long ago. Learned my lesson to avoid those people who bring out that side of me lol.

  • Crazy, I’m mars in aquarius, in my mid 50’s and bam, you nailed it for me. Probably the most accurate depiction of my experience up to now and as I’m learning to “harness” and work with the different placements, I am looking forward to the next 50years of my life with this innovative, technoligical, future thinking mars in aquarius. Moving into political arena and tech

  • I have a Mars in Taurus and I’m always exploring my surroundings. I try to go out every chance I get and I’m always finding beautiful things and things I need I just attract. My temper is crazy, my mom has always referred to me as being a bull when I get upset😅 so that’s really spot on. I’ve definitely attracted ppl who think they can tell me what to do because I’m so easy going and it’s gotten toxic…like I went to jail toxic they pushed me and well all the cops saw was what happened when they did 🤷🏿‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️😅 so it’s big lesson to me to stay focused on myself and what I’m here to enjoy in life

  • So interesting! I just ended a very short relationship because I realized my friend was a narcissist and I’ve really learnt my lesson with that. So I sent him a article made by a self aware narcissist because I wanted to give him the opportunity to heal if he chooses that. He has mars in taurus in the 4th in a grand trine with Mercury in virgo in the 8th and that stelliium of saturn uranus and neptune in capricorn in the 12th. His sun in Leo 7th h square both pluto in 10th and square the mars opposite each other. Ooh la la really toxic stuff but if he turns it around he’s going to be a power house. God bless and guide him. Thanks for all your insights Skye,so appreciated.

  • Oh my god, Aries here with Mars in Aries… it’s so true I do In fact need to keep adventure and at least light exercise in my life to feel sane. I do get that pent up energy and that can lead into some kind of bad habit/relapse if I dont watch out ..& yes perusal for infidelity is true. I’m not a cheater but staying in committed relationships is hard and it sucks bc I’m so passionate

  • Mars in scorpio (sun +stellium) but holy fuck. This was the most informative vid about mars placements i’ve heard. And i was just putting on something to fall asleep to cos i thought “well i know everything and his voice is calming” I certainly did not and i certainly did not fall asleep😆. You’re a treasure and im even more sleep deprived😅♥️

  • Mars in Pisces, Sun in Aquarius, Scorpio ascendant n Moon in Aries. Now I kinda get why I’m strangely inquisitive about psychology n tbh everything in general. Transformations in every aspect of my life have become way too ‘ordinary’ for me n I feel more than blessed to go thru the ongoing changes (90% of the time it was actually me who tossed myself into tough conditions)and seek the inner balance. Great article series, loved your calming voice 💙

  • Mars in Scorpio, Pluto in Scorpio, Scorpio Rising. First house. I have actually literally experienced and observed the thing that your talking about in regards to the luck change etc. both good and bad. I met a guy a year and a half ago, he had started a restaurant just as COVID hit. he was open one evening and there was no one in the restaurant all night. I gave him a lucky dollar as a tip and he laughed. I told him that I did have much money but I would come by as I could and wish him and the restaurant luck. I came by as promised and after a while he seemed annoyed that I was one of a handful of customers who’d drop by (being open cost a lot of money when you have no customers and you’re paying staff) I talked with him about those issues and how he could still make money without customers coming through the door. I don’t credit myself however I truly believe that I am meant to help people in this 3D world. I just need to learn to make money doing so. I have now started my own business doing consulting among other things. I haven’t completed this section yet, I wanted to stop and say this because I truly believe that others in my houses and signs must have the same abilities and I think that one of the most important things that we can learn and do is to embrace these parts of us and learn to give blessings to others in what ways that we can. I believe that this may be due to other aspects of Mars and past lives. This also helps me to calm my soul & embrace and bless the warrior within as there are many kinds war and ways to create or embrace a win 🙏 The restaurant & owner is doing better than ever (his words) & is pretty much packed every night.

  • I have Mars in cancer, RX !! 🤦🏽‍♀️ lol tough. I fell asleep with this on and oh my gosh had so many dreams about mars and you were there, you had an ice cream shop I visited and you were explaining to me from behind the counter lol thank you. I’m working still on transmuting so much of it all.. pain and suffering as you say. Identity crisis yes. Difficulty with my parents, yes Also I’m generation Pluto in Scorpio (5th house) square Saturn 🙃

  • I love love love your voice! 😍 Mars in Aquarius here. 👋🏼Anyway, an observation about this placement is having the ability to initiate big change in those around me. Example: If people have been stuck or afraid of change I’ll push them into action.. As for train of thought, 🤔🧐🤓🥸I don’t exactly loose my train of thought per say, 😳but I do go off on tangents when talking about a subject- like, I’ll see “5 mini subjects in 1”. 😅 I would describe Mars in Aquarius as the person you’d never thought would be a genius or least excepted to (fill in the blank), etc. Mars in Aquarius has like a spiderweb mind with a mental agility like no other and can be greatly underestimated. You probably won’t ever know you’re being fooled with a Mars in Aquarius. 😆😅

  • Mars in Pisces, Saturn in Aquarius. I agree with your interpretation wholeheartedly. Have transformed many times in life. In transformation stage now. Moving and starting new chapter for my final act -retirement which means working harder than ever on a homestead. Yes, God has led me to it. He’s always close by. Thanks for your work on fleshing out what each planet means.

  • I am going through With my children Very grateful 🙏 It’s not easy Sag cap rise Aqua moon Mars cancer Your awesome 👌 I’m so ready to get Started on this part of myself I can learn if I’m Right and take it If I’m wrong To accept however It may turn out I always thought Love is a powerful way of getting through I’m so wowed Thank you Sky Peace Love and Light

  • My mars and moon sign is switched. I have Moon in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer. When we talk about motherwise, I lean more to my scorpio moon. I was never abused. Lied to, manipulated and betrayed, yes. I’m home person. To explain it, I like the feeling of home even the vibe of home from another person. Despite living far away from my family, I live with my co-workers but I still want to isolate. I want my own home which is not easy to get with my low salary. I’m almost completely comfrotable with them but….I still want to be by myself despite feeling loneliness sometimes. I’m like this probably becausenI’m still looking for myself and what I want. Being with another person/people would limit myself since I’m cautious of what they think even if we’re friends. Admitting that I can be wrong is not easy. I usually stay quiet when that happens. And if I’m not too upset by it, I say sorry. I’m used to knowing a lot of things….just not academically. I’m just average if someone’s curious.

  • Hey! Mars in Aries (29th degree Saturn in Gemini) here, or Eore, ha! I’m 50 yrs old now. I’m an auto parts courier. I walk about 6-8 k steps a day, deliver locally, and lift a lot of car batteries! I used to bicycle a lot. I majored in History. Pretty accurate. I would love a mountain to climb, slowly. I have a worn miniscus on my right knee atm so that mountain will have to wait! I’m a couch potato on my day off.+

  • Yes i have mars/pluto conjunction in scorpio in my first house. Im a libra rising though in the last few degrees. I feel like a warrior lol. Im very intense when heated, but reserved and mysterious. But yes i have transformed many times during difficulty. And yes i hurt feelings by accident all the time or on purpose if im pissed. I do prefer to avoid drama though but not afraid of it either. Interesting that you said i should watch my words and react lovingly. Will work on that.

  • MARS IN CANCER! (Cancer sun, Virgo moon, Virgo or Libra rising.) This is the best analysis I’ve heard! I finally understand parts of myself and why I’m such a mess!! Thank you so much for posting this. The passive aggressive aspect is right on, and I struggle constantly with work and finding something self-sustaining. My Mom says I can be intimidating! I also have Venus in Leo😐

  • My ex had a Mars in cancer…he definitely used things and ppl to escape. He gave me a safe feeling but the passive aggression and and emotional manipulation suckeddd the air out the room. He wasn’t too confident and comfortable in his own skin so he’d be hating on me. He was also adopted so he had no connection to his parents and we were together for 8 years and I ended up just blocking him to end it so I kinda abandoned him but I just felt him sucking the life outta me as I was gaining it back after years of him sucking it out. I hope he works on himself, he had good qualities he just really needed god. My Mars is in Taurus so I related to him but at the same time I was over it lol

  • Hi there! Mars (and moon) in Taurus LONER here, haha. I feel so seen right now, so thank you! LOL! I actually have mars in Taurus in my 10th house in exact opposition with Pluto in the 4th house… I would love to know more about this relationship between these two planets in this aspect if you’re able to elaborate on this. Thank you! 🙏🏼💖

  • I have Mars conjunct Pluto in Scorpio 8th house and what you said about inserting ourselves in the karma of other people blew my mind.. you gave words to something I knew but couldn’t describe. I’ve noticed that again and again I’m always around when there is a catalyst for change and often tried to withhold becoming involved in things to stop this feeling of being responsible for something occurring….

  • I really love my Mars in Pisces… it used to annoy me, how passive I was compared to others… unwilling to face obstacles with brute force, always avoiding direct conflict… though my Mercury in Aries assists in facing obstacles which my Mars attempts to avoid through wordcraft. As you mentioned, I too had a “past” which wasn’t very uh, I’ll just say graceful. It didn’t help my family struggles with emotional and mental stability. I feel there is indeed a treasure trove of inspiration and ideas behind my once debilitated self worth… which have been healing gradually with age. You’re definitely right about the need to interpret the past, at least for me, I have screwed myself a bit due to not being willing to completely submerge in the reality of my past. I instead, allowed a false narrative to unfold, to make me feel better about how I felt about certain people… when really they had been a source of my deep seeded pain. I was unwilling to see the truth due to emotional attachment, and in the end sacrificed a part of myself, completely believing the sincerity of my intense emotions on this decision. Now looking back, I can see how on some level… I almost run more subconsciously with my “assertive” direction… the emotions are strong, to the point of completely obscuring a sense of logic if the cause seems justified… now, to learn to control this ability for productivity… ._.

  • Mars in aquarius here. Wow I’ve become kinda like buffy the vampire slayer since 2019 through I now realize bringing 5 narcissists their Karma. I’ve had pluto conjunct my descendant by transit and I have mars conjunct north node in the 7th in my natal. But you are right I could feel that staying in honour while doing it was a real challenge but I feel very peaceful and not angry anymore.

  • I have Mars in Scorpio and in my 6th house! I had no problem setting the people straight who said/did slick things or made “jokes” to me. Not to mention I quit quite noisily. Needless to say, I’ll stay forever present in their memories. (And to the memories of the older people and customers who favored me!) Also, one of the dudes I spoke out, on my lunch hour I went to grab a bite to the new place he happened to work! A week later things changed due to the COVID-19 thing going haywire.

  • what you were explaining to me(libra mars) about how to deal with the problem at workplace is literally the exact same stuff my friend’s been trying to make me understand the other day when i was whining to her about me having a difficult time at workplace and not being able to openly confront about it just because i think that way i would come off too aggressive which is very unattractive trait but she said its not about being aggressive cause i need to learn to speak up and that can be done nicely! so yeah your words were right on spot!

  • My sweet baby has a mars in cancer…and my bond to her is so deep and so nurturing, far from abusive. It actually hurt my heart to hear that…I grew up in severe abuse and would never walk those paths, however, I had to go to work when she turned 1 years old, and it was heartbreaking, my eldest had me home for the first 4 years. I can sense she feels abandonment in a sense, and she tells me often “I wish you were a stay at home mom” — she is a huge home body and family and home is so important to her, and yes her loyalty is huge. I really feel so disheartened from this, I hope she can grow up knowing how loved she is and I hope we will always be connected. I practice grounding meditations with her, because she does have certain fears …(I always thought it has to do with past lives with a smidge of hypochondria…or the fact that she is an enneagram 6) – she is a Virgo sun with Pisces moon and Libra rising…I am a Pisces sun with Scorpio moon and Taurus rising mama.. and my eldest is a Virgo sun with Cancer moon and Virgo rising. We are a deeply bonded, intuitive little family.

  • Wooooow! I feel like you have just spoken to my inner brain and soul. But I’m so on the fence, I feel like being tied down for the few years has halted my progress in some ways (but I have learnt a lot) this is definitely younger me. Pre 23. Mars in aquarius. (I’m 26 now). Learning about different planets in signs is confirming a lot of things about myself. Spooky! ☺️✌️ You’re very talented and speak with eloquence.

  • When you mentioned, late in your Mars in Leo section how maybe we were called on to transmute that way we can incorporate need for control and and tendency towards fixated or addictive energy into something positive….I think this is the most poignant thing I’ve heard said about this placement. I also have other parts of my chart, ie venus in Scorpio, that likely related to this idea. I appreciate you saying it. I am enjoying getting to know you and what I’ve decided, so far, is that you tend to pick up on very key points that other may not always notice, or maybe just not say or describe…but those things are EXACTLY the things that need saying and in fact, what will set you apart. I have a Virgo sun and gem moon, with cappy rising. So I was originally brought to your website via your article on cap rising. The title caught my eye…because you are right. In some ways, I do or have feel forgotten, invisible, and I realize I can be understated…but I also realize the specific power I personally hold. I need to start giving myself a little credit, rather than put downs because often I’m self depreciating, caused obviously by issues of self worth, shame etc. These articles I find empowering and serve as an unbiased reminder to ourselves of who we truly know we are. Beneath it all, at our core, without the years of conditioning to believe what we think others may believe about us. So thank you. I will keep tuning in!♡☆

  • Mars in Scorpio here and also Scorpio Sun Venus, Mercury and Uranus. I have learnt a lot about my self in the last 18 months and last year was a massive karmic release for me. I love all my Scorpio energy but I also know I can be intense and need to website that when I start feeling my emotional response taking over ♏️

  • I just want to take the time to write a few words here. You described Mars in cancer really well. Both my parents have their Mars in cancer in pushya nakshatra. They both have acted abusive towards me my whole life and I do have chosen to estrange myself from them almost completely. It’s definitely not an easy placement, from my perspective as a child and I believe from their perspective as well.

  • This is truly wonderful, so very grateful. I’m Mars in Pisces and was born on the day of Transformation (Nov 10, Scorpio sun) I barely recognise myself some days ☺️ I’m a spiritual therapist, claircognizant. This accurate af for me in every way, just like your other similar articles on the other aspects. Thank you beautiful soul. I love you Sky 🙏♾️🤍

  • My Mars in Taurus. Stamp was 22:33. Me and my bf who is Mars in virgo. I’m a life path 22 and he’s a life path 33. I do like counseling to get to the origin of a problem, archeology, traveling. (Left home at 17 and 12 years later across the country from where I started) I’m easy going till I see red, and certain things do set off a short fuse. My anger has been out of control because of how out of nowhere it can be. It shocks people because they typically see me as a reliable ol doormat. Everywhere I go I do love to make things beautiful and healthy. I work as an adult entertainer but make art and music too. I’m loving them both and thinking about mixing it all together somehow. Also do divination. I do want to learn how to be more bossy. I feel I am able to do so much more than I am currently but also think it’s going to take time to master. My placements are capricorn sun, scorpio moon, virgo rising, aqua venus. My whole life is like a beautiful disaster. I’ve been through soooo much for someone my age. I’m ready to make significant change with the trials I’ve been through. Many call me predictable and that bugs me for some reason. This article was good. I subbed

  • Natal Scorpio Mars here 🌚 conjunct Pluto, moon, mercury, and the asteroid Lilith in 3h. Sun, Jupiter, and Venus are together in Libra. Agree with all your points. Betrayal, trauma, purging, and transmutation are definitely the main underpinnings of my life experience. I feel like I’m constantly in a state of purging and healing. I have a bad habit of treating my body poorly or getting injured. I’ve routinely had to go to the ER at least 1-3 times a year since I was a little kid for various reasons. And I’m just now starting to understand that at the root they all had to do with some kind of physical or mental stress. I definitely struggle with always feeling insatiably hungry and it makes me feel out of control. And I absolutely compensate by coming up with weird mental rules about how I spend money or getting rid of stuff all the time. For example, I cannot have more than 5 of any one type of thing. Like having more than 5 pairs of shoes stresses me out. So I’m constantly getting rid of them every time I buy a new pair. I’ve felt that I’ve had to work really hard to do things I would consider normal or easy for others. And a lot of it had to do with fears I never thought I could overcome. But once I really became open to embracing and surrendering to fear, I felt spiritually powerful. Like I had protection from the universe or a higher power. I have this unending desire to feel in extremes if that makes sense. So sometimes I’ll tell myself stories that make me cry for fun.

  • Mars and Pluto conjunction in Scorpio here 🙋🏼‍♀️. I’ve been told my energy can be intense 😄 “Abundance doesn’t necessarily suit you.” Eeek. I am a Capricorn sun and I am good with living more minimally, but I do also always feel like I’m needing to grasp for more at the same time. Can I say, you are so wonderful though! I love your articles and insights.

  • Sky, you have interpreted Mars in Pisces superbly. I felt for the first time that someone has got me. I was wondering if other Mars in Pisces people process their pain in depth, over and over through the years, even though we have got it and feel finished with it, but it keeps showing up to be cried over again, which helps the other humans process easier through alchemy. Our pain eases their (others) pain through chemical energies on the planet. I sometimes feel like I am pregnant for the whole world, nurturing an unborn new type of human that once birthed, won’t have to experience what I am going through so that there won’t be any emotional pain in the future, just emotional love. Regarding Egos, Sky, your elaborate way of explaining how we are ‘above’ ego, well, mostly I feel that I don’t have one, except when I am being attacked, physically, mentally or emotionally and especially spiritually, then my ego rises up like a sea monster to defend me from depths, that frighten the pursuer and send them scuttling. 98% of the time I feel like a timid, misunderstood, loving soul that feels I am on the wrong planet. Blessings to all who understand this.

  • I have Mars in Leo in the 1st House but very close to Mars in Pisces as a matter of fact in some readings my placement is Mars in Pisces. It’s crazy that my life experiences has been more in this placement! so I relate to it more. But through life I have been seen by others as a Mars in Leo in 1st house I’ve been referred as a Queen-like personality almost as a celebrity even though that’s the last thing I want to be. But the God connection is so right on! Thank You for your message I now understand more and learning something new every day, just awesome!
