  • All those who are offended over names representing a group of people, are unhappy with who & what they are…. As for me, my ancestors are from Norway & Ireland, and people using the name (VIKINGS & Fighting Irish) on buildings or signs actually FILLS ME WITH JOY because I am proud of my herritage, so I highly encourage the use of my herritage whether used in good ways or bad ways, so even if my herritage is used in bad ways, I would still be filled with joy…… You see, when you’re so in love with your heritage, you’re impervious to insults.

  • As an Arab I take office to the knight image they always present Arabian Knights it’s offensive. Not really like good or bad usually we are happy when we are associated as a logo we never are so that is the joke. I take pride in my heritage many do. You can get just as much negatives from the new logo such as Arabian Knights. You won’t please everyone it’s a waste of money and the community spoke that they felt it was unwarranted. Having spent so much time in the community nothing in the same anymore. Water street looks like upscale Chicago, St Pete is becoming some glorified Oregon. Cuban history and Arabian history is being erased from Tampa in leaps and bounds. They tear down all the historical beautiful Mediterranean buildings for these cheap plastor ones. Get rid of our beautiful minarets. Then all this political correctness but hmmm let’s see they refuse to let us teach African American History in schools. Want to indoctrinate Jim-Crowe law American white history only into theory. Call for a mandated Communism into Kindergarten-12 by 2026 SB 1264. They have their priorities very backwards.
