What does a lion mascot represent?

The lion, often referred to as the “King of the beasts”, symbolizes power, strength, and dignity. The Christ-lion, also known as the Lion of Judah, represents light, courage, and dignity. It represents the line of David, descended from the tribe of Judah. Jesus, the lion, is a symbol of the Great Mother, Mary, Mater Dei, our protector and patroness. The size and coloration of a lion’s mane represent fitness, health, skill, ability, and might. However, not all lions develop manes of equal size or coloration due to their genes and constitution.

The mane’s length and darkness are influenced by the lion’s habitat, with warmer regions having lighter and shorter hairs. The mane of the Monarchs represents the enduring legacy of our school in Santa Ana, CA, where we are the oldest Catholic high school in Orange County.

  • Killer Mike’s response is honestly bizarre. I always felt he had sufficient sensibility in his understanding of topics and was just misguided with the truth sometimes. This however is a complete departure. It’s beyond contest what the facts are and Mike is almost entirely wrong. The article evidence proves it and the lawsuit settlement proves it.

  • It is so respectful to walk up to a young man and start beating a drum in their facehe claims he was trying to walk up the stairs but he was being blocked by this kid he said he wanted to get up to the top of the stairs to finish his song. But if you watch the whole article when the bus shows up the kid and the other kids all walk past the native American manand there’s nobody literally nobody standing in front of the native American man anymore he could have easily walked up to the top of the stairs and finish the song. But what does he do he turns around and follow the kid down to the bottom of the stairs and continues beating his drums. This old man is a liar

  • Just so you know, White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) does not equal White Roman Catholic (WRC?). Discrimination, atrocities, and wars have occurred over hundreds of years over the difference. I’m not villainizing WASPs, they’re generally excellent people and I’m thankful the past is behind us. It’s unfortunate when those who comment on cultural issues don’t have a nuanced sense of the variety of people who make up our culture. ALSO – when the older person in this situation is the one who attempted to intimidate, vilify, then slander with lies and false accusations an innocent kid out of obvious political agenda and racial hatred, then that elder does not deserve respect. Killer Mike has an important voice, but he got this one wrong in my opinion.

  • Right or wrong the kids should have walked away from the situation. I think they were all wrong but when you take history into account, specifically the slaughter of 130 million Native Americans, let that man beat his drum. Yeah, the drummer could have handled it differently but when you talk about genocide Native Americans got it the worst and were never repaid. If any of them knew history they should have respected the Native American man, right or wrong walk away.
