What Spells Can You Cast From Burke?

Monstrologist Burke, a slang term, is a tool used to criticize or tease someone’s actions while adding humor. Home Wizards receive their first Animus Extraction Spell from Monstrologist Burke in Ravenwood upon receiving their introductory Quest to Monstrology. More Extraction Spells can be found in other locations, such as Zafaria, Baobab Crossroads, Avalon, Caliburn, Azteca, Khrysalis, Polaris, and Wizard City. These schools have specific spells that are vital for your wizard’s spell-book, such as Feint, Tower Shield, and Reshuffle.

Quests grant new spells, allow you to purchase them with training points, or allow you to farm for them. If you are affected by someone else’s magick, you can cut off intrusive energy and reclaim your power. The higher your monstrology rank, the more animus spells you can get. Monstrologist Burke is located in Ravenwood, Caliburn, The Zocalo, and Walruskberg. The first spell is given for free, but the rest cost 100,000 gold each.

To unlock these spells, visit Gilda Burke, next to the Myth Tower in Ravenwood, for a tutorial and receive your first “extract” spell, which extracts animus. Burke was a powerful Demonic Bounty Hunter who disabled his victims with a crossbow that shot arrows laced with a tranquillizer compound. Once defeated, he will say that you don’t understand what ‘R’ is trying to do.
