Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy is a concert tour featuring music from the Final Fantasy series, launched in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 4, 2007. Created by Arnie Roth and Nobuo Uematsu, the two-hour-long concerts feature music from every game of the series. The tour features giant video screens with video and art stills to accompany the music. Additional songs were added to the setlist in 2009, including “Ronfaure” from Final Fantasy XI, “Man With A Machine Gun” from Final Fantasy VIII, “Main Theme of FFVII”, “Dancing Mad” from Final Fantasy VI, and “J-E-N-O-V-A” from Final Fantasy VII.

After the Distant Worlds II concert in Stockholm, additional pieces were added to the setlist, and different songs from that rotation were chosen for each performance. “Kiss Me Goodbye” from Final Fantasy XII was played at the June 18, 2010 Detroit show, though it was not officially added to the general setlist. It was played again at the April 1, 2011 concert in New York City, which featured an expanded setlist over two concerts. Square Enix announced that the concert series was expected to run for at least three more years.

The album, released on December 4, 2007, features the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the choir Allmänna Sången and contains most songs performed at the first concert. It received mixed reviews from critics, with Patrick Gann of RPGFan praising the recording quality, the performance, and the classic Final Fantasy feel, while Andre of Square Enix Music Online praised the quality and overall energy of the album.

  • Is it me or does this live version sound better than the studio recording? I love this intro better than the recorded one. That verse line is sooo much more better and I can listen to it forever! Also its sooo sad to see soo many people recording on their phones worrying about getting the perfect shot and not actually enjoying the concert…. makes me sooo sad!

  • What an absolute disappointment of a crowd…. I cant imagine the energy that gets sucked out of these guys when they come out and see just a wave of cell phones…. no dancing….no jumping….no moshing just people really really dedicated to make sure everyone they know, knows they were at this show perusal a live band through a 7 inch screen…. what are we doing its fucking sad. No wonder bands prefer European shows

  • I was at the LA show went home slept for a few hours drove to Vegas in the early morning on monday for this show, enjoyed all day in the city and went to the show at night, watched from the back and it was my first one enjoying on the back cuz I’m always on barricade lmao… after the show drove back home got home almost 5am on Tuesday 🫠 so worth it, so dead, so happy! 😂 Cheers to concrete forever! 🎉 best experiences I’ve ever had ❤️

  • As an old school thrasher, I Iove you guys… Back in the day, I always said that hybrid heavy\ ap sound would be the next big thing and bands tried to do it, but no one could really pull it off and sound real doing it. You guys not only do it, but also add that melodic twist and it just sounds amazing.

  • I discovered Bad Omens through Tik Tok with Just Pretend and initially didn’t like Artificial Suicide. But I kept coming back to it and how did I not notice all the little details of this song that makes it so great and innovative?! 😅 And then this live performance! 😱 Bad Omens, you are a band I’ll never shut up about. I love you guys so much 🖤♾️

  • Noah, I watched a short article of you playing music while streaming, and there were no real words, but one word sounded like “chemical” and others were like “I wanna stay and I wanna go…”. I can’t find this vid again, but the melody and your singing were so captivating, like rocking on the sea waves. Something beautiful. I could listen to this song endlessly

  • I’ll never understand why you would pay to go to a concert, then not enjoy it by recording it with your phone as if anyone would rather watch your crappy 240p upload instead of the free, professionally done article by the label’s own recording team. I was at a dive bar to see Austrian Death Machine called the “Jumping Turtle” in San Marcos, CA once and the 30 people there raged harder than this entire mummified pack of lamos combined.

  • you can find a live version of Dethrone, Glass Houses, the Worst in Me, Never Know, Careful What You Wish For, and Limits. ALL LIVE! its on spotofy on their own album!!!! He is hands down the best vocalist of all time, only one spot behind freddy mercury. I dont say this lightly. I have given it years of thought and attention

  • F***ing Epic! Holy shit Noah!!!!! Your lower growls in certain spots in that song are unbelievable!!! Nice and clean. Really like your voice when you do different variations and tones. Don’t forget your low voice. Really digging your guys shit. Keep it up! They opened for Godsmack last summer and now they are Headlining………..speaks volumes of where they are headed.

  • I always get annoyed of how many people doesn’t even try to make atmosphere anymore they all just film and come 3 h early for front row. Like on any band what you see in public is phone screens. We are sick(in a wrong way) generation. I remember when I was kid dreaming to visit concerts bcs I saw them filiming crowd and that was more fun to watch than band. Now no one even tries to film the crowd anymore. As disturbed said “to the neon gods they pray”
