Where At Magic Kingdom Can I Find Alcohol?

Magic Kingdom offers alcohol in its seven table-service restaurants, including Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Crystal Palace, and Liberty Tree. However, it is not as easy to find alcohol as at EPCOT and other Disney World Parks. Guests can purchase beer, wine, and cocktails at these locations.

The Jungle Navigation Co. in Adventureland and the Liberty Tree Tavern are some of the places where guests can get alcohol. However, alcohol is not as easily available as at EPCOT and other Disney World Parks.

There are eight places with alcohol in Magic Kingdom: Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Crystal Palace, and Liberty Tree. Table service restaurants typically require an advance dining reservation, and some book up quickly. Tambu Lounge, located upstairs at The Polynesian, offers drinks without a reservation and can be taken around the resort.

The Crystal Palace, located off Main Street, USA, offers wine, mass-market and craft beers, hard cider, and cocktails. Other options include Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto and Tiki Bar, Tambu Lounge, The Enchanted Rose, The Steakhouse 71 Lounge, and The Diamond. Adult beverages can only be purchased by those 21 and over and from table service restaurants.

To enjoy alcohol at Magic Kingdom, guests should visit sit-down table-service restaurants or indulge in the Magic Kingdom desserts.

  • Finally got out of the bar and took this show on the road! Did I miss your favorite (or most hated) drink at Disney? Let me know! • Hey Greg! Disney bartender here love the content! I can happily get you almost all the recipes for any of the drinks you had save for La Cava since they’re kinda third party-ish. Edit: you went to Sanaa! You may have had a drink made by me! That star mojito is actually just a split base Starr rum and what used to be Van der hum Tangerine Liqueur

  • I didn’t know that you are epileptic Greg. My daughter has epilepsy, she’s 21 and has struggled to have a “normal” life. I’m glad that I now have a hugely popular YouTube creator to refer to when we talk about how hard she’s trying and all the work she is putting into trying to lead a normal life living with seizures.

  • Some notes from a Cast Member for your next visit: Skipper’s Canteen is basically the only place to get decent drinks at Magic Kingdom. Next time you go back to Galaxy’s Edge, I strongly recommend the Jet Juice from Oga’s. It is, in my opinion, the best drink at Oga’s and one of the best drinks on property. Animal Kingdom as a whole has pretty underrated drinks, Yak and Yeti specifically has some drinks that are pretty solid if a little sweet. In Epcot, the Blackberry Moonshine Sour in America and the Violet Sake in Japan are huge crowd pleasers. Neither has really been my thing but your mileage may vary. To me, Disney Springs is way better at night on like a Friday when people are first starting their trips. If you go midday on a Sunday, you’re gonna run into mostly families that have been stuck with each other for a weekend and are ready for their flight home. It is in a lot of ways just a Mickey Mouse shopping mall, but there’s also some great food, great live entertainment, and usually a pretty good atmosphere cb v

  • Thai Basil fizz is definitely something I want to see if they can make better on a future article. The cornerstones of Thai food are peanuts, basil and Thai chilis. This flavor is often seen in Nouc Cham, which is a vinegar dipping sauce that uses the previously mentioned. When it’s made correctly, you can practically drink it because it’s so good. I could imagine a refreshing gin cocktail made with those ingredients. Alternatively some versions of Nuoc Cham use fish sauce. Perhaps they can make a savory cocktail with fish sauce. An obstacle that comes to mind is that Thai holy basil is insanely refreshing when eaten but it imparts mostly a grassy taste when infused into simple syrup or booze.

  • Alright Greg, this article just raised a question and I’ve gotta ask lol. When you and your wife go out and order drinks on a normal occasion, do you turn off the drink critic persona, or do you review every drink haha. And if so, does she agree with your tastes, or does she ever tire of you telling her how her drink doesn’t taste as good as it should 😂

  • La Cava is my favorite place to drink at WDW. The magic they work with tequila and mezcal is wonderful. Nomad Lounge is a hidden gem. Not everything is amazing, but they have some standouts. The Tempting Tigris is especially good, and yes, it NEEDS a giant rock instead of theme park ice. At Oga’s, the Yub Nub is fun and light. The Slug Slinger is my go to for the kick. They used to flame the sage, but apparently it set off the fire detection too often. The single best drink I’ve ever had at WDW is the Twisted Fig at Steakhouse 71. Monkey Shoulder, Cointreau noir, fig simple, and orange bitters. It’s divine.

  • My biology lab instructor told us how to “drink around the world” and she said to start at Mexico if you don’t think you can finish it, and to start at Canada if you want to try to finish it. If you do the drinks around the world it’d be interesting to see what you drink compared to what she suggested

  • It would be cool if Viski had a “How to Drink” section like Curiada does or even a collection with your favorite glasses, tools, etc. I’m starting to stock my bar so it would be cool to buy one big collection that has an assortment of glasses and tools already put together for me vs. grabbing things that approximate what it looks like you use or like. Just a thought!

  • The biggest crux to your drink experience at Disney will always be who’s working that day. Some of those drinks at the parks aren’t kept well or made on the spot. So sometimes you end up with a cup full of mixer. Then you have some bartenders that like to break the rules and properly make the drink with right amount mix to alc.

  • Don’t usually put comments on any articles but I had no idea you had epilespy! I got diagnosed last year and its been such a ride. I was told not to drink because of my medication, which, for a former bartender, sucks. It’s so nice to see public figures that have epilespy, especially someone who makes drinks for a living!

  • Interesting… you mention the taste of coughing up tonsil stones, which I know quite well… because I currently have strep throat. I usually love recreating and tasting the drinks you showcase on here, but this is one I wish I wasn’t currently experiencing. Looking forward to next week’s drink recreation episode, though!

  • Love the episode ! Glad you honed in on the Tempting Tigress – spent months after my trip there learning how to perfect Tamarind syrup. As an experienced Disney cocktail enthusiast, though, you got some bad advice in Disney Springs. You should have hit the Splitsville bar upstairs, the lounge bar at Morimoto Asia (which does some great stuff with Japanese Whiskies) and Enzo’s Hideaway for their Old Fashioned variant, which is a perfect place if you’re looking to escape heat and noise. Also for Vol II you need to hit Topolino’s (Modern Fashioned), Bar Riva at Riviera (for everything), and the Enchanted Rose (the best actual “cocktail bar” on property).

  • We did Around the World during food and wine festival with a large group about a dozen or so and it wasn’t too rough of a day. Start early, go slow, remember food as well as drinks, stay for the night show, and you’ll likely be fine. Though I wouldn’t suggest it with kids. Not exactly what they’re looking for. But this was amazing timing as my buddy is going to Disney for his 40th with his wife. They’ll enjoy the reviews you gave.

  • On your mention of being a parks vlogger, I wouldn’t wish that nightmare on you. But I feel like you have good insights into the parks as someone who is a fan of the parks and their history, but also (as far as I can tell) someone who dislikes soullessness in products and appreciates the artistry of things. If you did a monthly article or one even every other month on the second website about the parks, I’d enjoy perusal them.

  • I remember loving a drink or 2 staying at Fort Wilderness. They have a tavern over there with a dinner show that is amazing… With all you can drink Beer and wine. At least a few years ago. Best on property experience IMO. Also love the travel log content would love to see it expanded. I think you would love Broadway in Saratoga Springs NY. Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had came from there

  • The place you missed that has VERY nice upscale cocktails with stuff like Chartruse in them is the lounge at Steakhouse 71. I honestly think that’s worth a trip, and it’s in the Contemporary Resort, so I don’t think you have to pay for park passes to check it out. You might need reservations? Not sure. Also they have the best cheeseburger in the whole place at that bar. Pepper’s Ghost is probably the stand out cocktail at Abracadabar. it’s neat. Maybe try it if you’re there again but I don’t know if I’d go out of my way for it.

  • I tried to do the drink around the world at epcot 11 years ago. i was visiting from out of town and my buddy was an actor at a show at animal kingdom. i went and saw the show, before which i had some sort of alcoholic drink in animal kingdom, which i needed to brace myself against the march heat (i was visiting from western washington). after the show i headed to epcot to kill some time till my friend was done with his shift. i had a drink in every country — the last thing i can recall i was in norway getting a shot of aquavit from the cafeteria style restaurant. i did get some food, and when i got to the register i asked the youngsters working there, who were visibly uneasy about how inebriated i was, how to say cheers in Norwegian. they said “skol”, so at the register i raised my glass and bid “skol” to the staff and took my shot. i remember sitting at a table eating whatever food i had bought, and that’s where my recollection of the evening ends!

  • Can relate to the religious experience feeling. We did the lightsaber build as a birthday present for me (my wife is amazing) and I ended up trying to avoid outright sobbing at the end. I am…not happy with Disney as a corporation for an increasing amount of monopolistic and anti-consumer reasons, but goddam they can still hit the wonder and whimsy buttons HARD when they give things the proper amount of care and attention. I’d say the lightsaber build is one where they did. Rise of the Resistance and the cantina were also freaking amazing.

  • Tried to go to Trader Sam’s at opening on an offseason weekday. 3-hour line. Noooope. Disney Springs is okay when it’s not crowded, but the security at the entrance harshes it. We love Jaleo and Wine Bar George and the chocolate store. Somehow never got to Jock’s, which is kind of freaking me out now.

  • @howtodrink the way you talk Greg makes me think you live near Disney world and as a resident of Orlando I would love to see you review a few other drinks from the other theme parks like sea world and universal to see what the good and definitely bad ones are…lol also it is a great way to see what they were thinking might work and what won’t. I think it’s funny that half the drinks on the menu at theme parks are made by chefs not bartenders so the ratios are always kinda rough. When the bartender fixes the recipe that’s when you know it’s gonna be a good drink.

  • I dont remember the name of the drink but it was in Epcot Morroco that was essentially just a spiked Mint Iced tea with lemon. It was the greatest drink of my life. Its probably just some iced tea with Mint Syrup and Vodka but something about it man. I keep hyping it up to my friends and i hope its as delicious as i remember.

  • May I ask when you were in Skippers Canteen? We had visited twice, so I was in Magic Kingdom by myself (daughter and boyfriend had met up with friends) and I LOVED Skipper Canteen the 1st couple times, so I went by myself and got something that I had tried before and they had completely changed it (even though it reads the same on the menu) and it was the worst meal I’ve had at Disney!!! My daughter mentioned this to her friend and someone she knew had the same experience with a different dish?!!

  • Disney Springs has become kind of a bummer… I have some really good memories of drinking there with my family right around when I turned 21 (mid 2000s, when it was Downtown Disney, or Pleasure Island? not sure). It seemed relatively off the beaten path, for Disney standards anyway. Raglan Road especially… I just don’t remember it being THAT crowded overall. Which was cool considering the live music and atmosphere. Now, that area is more crowded than the parks themselves.

  • 22:51 that is just the wrong color for huckleberries. a good, strong batch of huckleberry lemonade is much closer in color to the black cherry drink. but idk, there’s also a difference between red and purple mountain huckleberries in the PNW, and the purples are premium. and who knows if they even have the same huckberries out east that we do here

  • LOL i love disney springs cause its disney but free XD its the best place to meet family that comes to disney when you live in the area, especally when you have an infant, since you can only shop with them anyway, but its like your last day/night stop to get souvenirs before you head home, its not a reason to come down alone for sure XD

  • Now that you’ve tried an assortment of Disney drinks, you absolutely need to make your way over to Universal Studios. Not the park itself, but one of their hotels, Sapphire Falls, has a restaurant called Strong Water Tavern. It’s a tapas and rum bar and it is absolutely incredible. It will blow anything you had at Disney completely out of the water.

  • Based off the description of the thai basil fizz, it sounds like they were trying to make a pad thai kind of drink? It has a chili on top and you said ginger and peanut butter, and a lot of americanized recipes of pad thai use those to replace roasted peanuts and galangal, plus there’s a chili garnish. The thing is, you don’t really put thai basil in pad thai and there’s tamarind which were definitely not in that description. It doesn’t shock me though that it was too sweet.

  • Hey Greg! Cava del Tequila had a great drink when I was there. I think. I didn’t order it because it was absurdly priced, but I did take down the list of ingredients and take it home to make what I assumed it would be. Turns out I’m wrong, from what I can tell theirs is served long w crushed ice and mine is couped but what I made turned out great. Probably even better. You should make it! Rey Del Pavo 2 oz mezcal (they said montelobos pechuga but I’m not dropping 250 on a bottle. Del maguey is fine. ) 1 oz hibiscus liqueur (made to smugglers cove specs) 0.5 ancho Reyes (they use the fancy barrica version) 0.5 lime juice 1 tsp tamarind puree 0.25 oz agave syrup

  • I still want to go to Galaxy’s Edge in my full Jedi costume and just hand wave at anything First Order, “you are not canon” and just keep walking. With that being said, your statement about it being a religious experience…I mean it’s as close to Star Wars in real life as I’m going to get so I’ll overlook the sequels for it.

  • I’m not saying you should become a full time Disney vlogger, but I wouldn’t be opposed to more Disney content. Just saying. Also, may I say, your vibe at Disney is WAY more mature than on your show. I don’t know if that’s because you’re “dadding” in the moment but I kind of like it. You’re a very cool dude vs. your usual goofy self.

  • On Jacques Lindsay’s: trust me on this, Order. Off. Menu. I got an old fashioned there and it was one of the best drinks I have gotten at Disney Springs. It was absolute jet fuel, but it was damn tasty jet fuel. My wife loved the alcoholic slushes at the poutine stand. The blue selection (mostly Malibu and blue curaçao, predictably…) was a particular favorite. On the food at the poutine stand, just get the regular poutine. The rest are deeply disappointing.

  • Love Disney, been going since I was 6, I’m DVC – and I’m in the U.K.. Over the last 10ish years though I’ve noticed the quality has gone down a lot, while the price has gone up equally. Had two cocktails in the Yeti bar – they were perfectly adequate but cost $20+, and then the barman wanted a tip 🙄 Best drinks we had were Rum Runners from a little shack bar at Disney Springs (or Downtown Disney for the OGs!) next to the Oyster Shack. Always get one and never been dissapointed 😊

  • Love this article! Try Dahlia Lounge at the Coronado. Some of the drinks were pretty good, some not so great. If you like fireworks you can see Epcot’s from the balcony. They also play the weird animated Dahlia article that wasn’t released.?. If you go back to Disney Springs, the Edison had a couple good drinks, some flops, but also a fun roaring 20s atmosphere. When I had the Avocado Margarita years ago it was blended with half an avocado and pretty good. I tried it again a couple years ago and it was premade and looked like what you got. My feed is full of cocktail articles and Disney articles, so please do more Disney drink articles😅 Agree F&GF is better than F&WF.

  • I work at Old Key West and I have two favorite drinks. At Epcot in the Japan pavilion they have the Tokyo Sunset and I make this drink for friends. My second is usually found at the resort bars and is the Raspberry Coolava (Frozen Pina Colada with Raspberry purée). I also love the drinks at the Ohana’s bar @ the Polynesian Village Resort. I also recently had the Orange Blossom Martini at Citrico’s @ the Grand Floridian Resort, really good!

  • Easiest WDW bar crawl: Crescent Lake via Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Get a good day buzz on imports at the festival booths or weird Star Wars cocktails. Then after the fireworks or Fantasmic just head to the Dolphin or Swan, go to one bar per hotel around the lake, end at Jelly Rolls for last call and pianos.

  • Honestly, bars at Disney Springs and the hotels are really good. They are similarly priced to lots of Orlando bars but the quality is so much better. They want you to get drunk. 😂 Disney also has high standards when it comes to food service to keep their reputation…. Unlike Universal, I got food poisoning from the Red Coconut Club. 💀

  • Hey Greg, new fan, love your work. (Working through the backlog) I’m hard of hearing, and a great many of your episodes need your voice mixed up higher. Especially when there is music playing, I basically have to audiologically squint to hear your narration separate from the music. I can turn up MY volume, but then I get road-noise and all that at home and I still cannot hear your lovely voice that well. It wouldn’t have to be much, but especially when there is music with altos and basses playing that’s right in your vocal range and I cannot hear shit. Much love. Make Meredith fix it, lol.

  • How to drink at Disney in 3 easy steps. Step one: Don’t. Go somewhere else where they may actually appreciate you as a customer and provide decent services at a reasonable price. Step two: Just don’t. Go somewhere else that doesn’t try to shove their ideology down the throats of children because “the message” is more important than profits… up until they have to fire employees and jack up costs when no one buys their garbage products. Step Three. Really, just don’t. Go literally anywhere else. You’ll have a better time and spend less money… but if you must…. enjoy your Bud Light.

  • When I went to Ogas they had a cold brew and juice drink: the Black Spire Brew with cold brew, honey falernum passion fruit and citrus, they literally refused to serve me so I’d love to see you do a version of that. I feel like not enough people associate coffee with bright fruit flavors but that’s what specialty coffee tastes like so I think there really is something there.

  • I’d love for you to re-work the avocado margarita. My wife and I got it and loved it because it was 98 degrees that day, so it was satisfying. We tried to make it at home and we’re able to improve it a bit, but I bet you’d do better than we did! Also, one cool spot you might like in Disney Springs is called: “The Edison.” It’s a steampunk meets prohibition-era cocktail bar. They have some actual cocktails, and they do fun stuff with smoke. More importantly, the bartenders seemed like real cocktail nerds, and we had fun trying their own personal creations. Hands down the best drinks we had on our trip. Pricey though, even for Disney standards. As for everything else, I bet the drinks are overly sweet because they’re appealing to average people, on vacation.

  • I’m genuinely curious about the logistics of doing this kind of review, specifically how you get away with ordering so many drinks at the same places. You mentioned you don’t drink everything on the menu and I’d assume you don’t finish the drinks, except maybe the rare ones you really enjoy, loads of water and food, etc, but how do you approach the ordering? Do you tell staff you’re a YouTube guy and reviewing drinks, please don’t be concerned if I order a bunch of stuff? Do staff ask why you didn’t finish them? Or does no one give a shit and you just order 4-5 drinks one after the other and leave them partially drunk on the table?

  • I spent a couple of days in Callao and Lima, Peru back in 1974 and was introduced to Pisco and Pisco Sours. I was fortunate to bring two bottles of Pisco back with me but had trouble finding it for quite a few years. When I could find it, the Pisco just wasn’t as good as I remembered. For the record, if the Pisco comes in a bottle that looks like a shrunken head, don’t buy it.

  • Nomad Lounge is our fave guilty pleasure. It CAN get busy. But its nice to be tucked away on an outdoor seat to enjoy listening to the hustle and bustle as we relax with some small plates and a cocktail. My fave is usually the Snow Leopard Salvation. Partly because I like ginger beer drinks. Partly because I need that ginger in the belly before dealing with the 3D tech on the awesome Flight of Passage ride.

  • I was at WDW the same days as you (worked for Disney for a bit and got free tickets which we were expiring, so I took my mom) and I’ve searched the background for myself, but couldn’t find me. I swear I remember seeing that woman and her baby in the grass during the first few seconds. I would kick myself if I knew I was so close I could have said hi. Super fun episode – can’t wait for part 2!

  • Not a full time, but once every couple months thrown in might be cool. Specially if you find yourself struggling for idea or want to change things up now and then. Burnout is real, throw in some weird things now and then if you need to. Being said, my favorite content is the terrible drink orders. Both because there terrible and because I like seeing you fix garbage. Also, I am a complete none drinker, never had a drop in my life. Thought about it when I turned 40 a few weeks ago, but decided not to. I just like hearing about drinks and mixology.

  • I’d be interested to see what he thought of the drinks at Universal. Apparently, whoever comes up with a lot of them is really huge on bitters so almost everything includes them. And the Universal blogger i watch the most absolutely hates bitters so all his reviews ate like ‘3/10’. I’d love to know if the drinks really are terrible, or if it’s just bitters-hate…..

  • Lets put it this way. If you are local, or can FAKE being local. Get a season pass some year, and yes, drink every drink, blog every drink, and remake every drink. Just spend a full year doing it, full time. Go there until your kids are TIRED of it. A year pass, on an expence account… THAT IS the way.

  • Just got back from my first trip to Disney World. We went on probably the busiest week of the year so didnt really get to enjoy as much as we would have liked. My tip if you are planning on catching a buzz is to just buy a couple packs of shooters and sneak them in (It was super easy. They wont pat you down so just in pockets is fine). Definitely was a good choice at Magic Kingdom where the alcohol is far less abundant than at the other parks.

  • Hey, since it’s getting to be February soon I have a quick suggestion for a Valentines episode. Greg and Mrs. HTD create drinks for each other, one they would like and one they would hate. Goes without saying that Mrs. HTD need not make an appearance if she prefers not to, but a recipe from her would be a fun addition to the show.

  • When were you at Nomad Lounge? It’s usually absolute chaos. We had to wait an hour for a seat out on the verandah this past Sunday. I miss the days before TikTok when most people had no idea what Nomad Lounge was and you could just slide up to the bar and hang out with Tyler, the best bartender Disney has.

  • I always find articles on youtube featuring Disneyland or Disney World to be a trip. I remember going to disney as a kid who was really into photography at the time and being told in no uncertain terms that Disney’s policy was no picture taken within the park was to be used or shared in anyway that might bring me profit regardless of it featuring anything particularly Disney. I remember asking if I could post to my photography page on facebook and they advised me not to. Thanks for enduring all the bad in search of the good for us.

  • You or your editor keeps spelling “weird” wrong. I’m sure that gets you engagement in the comments, but my husband has to point it out every goddamn time it happens and now I don’t want to watch your articles because at this point, after seeing it in this many episodes, which I only know because he will not let it go, spelling it wrong has to be an active and antagonistic choice
