Squirt’s Necklace is a legendary amulet found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls, equipped by any class. It requires character level 9 to drop and is named after Squirt the Peddler. The item can drop at any level above 8, and its minimum level is 8. Squirts build up in stacks of 1-10, with 10 giving 100 extra damage. However, if you take a hit, they all drop, causing 50 damage on the first hit.
To get around this, you can equip the Squirt’s Necklace, which increases damage dealt by up to 100 and taken by up to 50 while not taking damage. Farming materials to upgrade LV 70 rare (yellow) amulets in the cube into legendaries can give you the item. Squirts require upgrading, such as cold + double crit, but starting from double crit is good enough.
The new Squirt’s Necklace has an effect that boosts your damage “while not taking damage”. Sometimes, the effect stays even when you are taking damage or while you are taking no damage. They are mostly outclassed by other legendary amulets, but they have been kept for their magic find.
Squirt’s Necklace is a random drop from any loot source, such as trash mobs, chests, or bosses. Kadala will give you the amulet, but getting an ancient one is time-consuming. Farming materials to upgrade LV 70 rare may be more efficient.
Is there a reliable way to get this item? Does it drop from specific bosses or mobs, or does Squirt sell it under certain circumstances?
