Where to get divination cards in Poe?

Divination cards are stackable, tradeable items that drop from monsters and loot containers in Wraeclast. They can be traded with Tasuni in Highgate or Lilly Roth at your hideout. Each card type drops in specific areas of Wraeclast, allowing players to maximize their chances of obtaining the desired item. Modifiers to quantity, such as from the area, monster, or player, affect the amount of cards obtained from monsters in zones.

Differences to quantity affect the amount of cards obtained from monsters in zones. High-level characters (68+) can farm world areas without severe drop rate penalties. However, divination cards tabled to specific monsters have deterministic drop rates and are not affected by item quantity modifiers or Divination Scarabs. To maximize farming these cards, focus should be placed on twinning/duplicating bosses and/or maximizing the number of maps run per hour instead of increasing quantity.

Rewards for divination cards include item level, which determines eligibility of non-unique equipment base types based on their drop level. For example, a level 2 character would never be able to obtain a Royal Burgonet Armour, but they could obtain Perfidy Armour, which requires Level 68, 191 Str.

Non-equipment items like currency or maps are also not influenced by character level.

How to farm divination cards?

Divination cards can be obtained through farming, killing monsters on specific maps, or opening Stacked Decks. Ultra-rare cards, like “The Apothecary”, require a lot of maps to obtain, while others can only be obtained by killing specific monsters or bosses. Some cards, like “Love Through Ice”, can only drop from killing one of the four Conquerors. It’s important to note that some cards require a lot of maps to obtain, and some can only be obtained by killing specific monsters or bosses.

All Divination Cards in The Awakening are designed by players, and to create your own, purchase a Highgate Supporter Pack.

What is the drop rate of cards in Poe?

Sirgog and a group of players discovered a formula that closely aligns with the drop rates of divination cards. Common cards have a drop rate of approximately 1 million divided by their gold cost, while uncommon and rare cards have a drop rate of 13 billion divided by the cube of their gold cost. Trade league players can use this information to optimize their divination card farming strategies. The Apothecary, Fire of Unknown Origin, Divine orbs, Progeny of Lunaris, and IC Brothers are the best cards to farm.

However, the gold cost listed for the cards may not be exact, as Granny Gear Games rounds down the cost to multiples of 25 or 50. Understanding divination card drop rates can significantly impact gameplay and farming strategies in Path of Exile, enhancing the gaming experience for solo self-found players or trade league players.

  • This made end game much more fun for me. I invested 1 Div in 40 Mesa Maps and got a nameless seer and added that to dunes… I spent 14c to run 10 maps for the scarabs I didn’t have…What happened was crazy: A valdos, King Invite, 3 Fortess maps that I sold for 65c a piece… I mean at that point I made all my money back and then some with all the other drops I got from Div cards. THANK YOU

  • Hi question from Malaysia player, I 1st time play POE hopefully you will answer my question thanks 1) I fresh start atlas tree which node should I focus first (can you recommend route for me) 2) when mapping should I rush boss or clear whole map ? 3) I follow your atlas tree, if I really need to drop few atlas point, which one least important to drop ? 4) which map recommend to make it favorite map Sorry for my stupid questions, as a 1st time player POE THANKS

  • Ok i matched the atlas. I rolled high quant and pack size onto my map. I chiseled. I picked all the scarabs. It doesnt seem like i made anywhere near a D a map. I got some scarabs and some normal t16 maps. And some average div cards. I dont really know what is high value. I get so distracted looking at gear on the ground. Uniques and what not Not sure if i did something wrong or if I’m just assuming all my scarabs and maps are 1-3 chaos and maybe they worth big money

  • hey can someone enlighten me: i was following fubguns t17/t16 ambush strat and he goes into beyond aswell. do beyond mobs drop normal loot like currency, maps and gold? feel like they’re not that rewarding, even if the tainted currency was twice as expensive. cant really find a clear answer to that question what beyond mobs can drop. will try your tree here 🙂 i have divine beauty scryed on dunes, feels also really nice.

  • I’m brand new player. Picked up a hinekoras lock. Had no idea what it was. Found it was worth like 50div. So I put it for sale. Some1 sent me an offer for what I thght were divine orbs. I’m on ps4 BTW. So I accepted the sale. Turned out they were exalted orbs not divine orbs. I didn’t know.. I’m new. So I got totally ripped and almost stopped playing. I did stop for a day or 2. But I’m back now.

  • Consiatency is key, and doing strongbox this way is not what you call consistent. You could run 14+ map and be dry as heck. Or run 1 and suddenly 4 div worth of item drops Nowadays, i personally juat run maven influenced map. Doing coves ke other maps that lets me reach boss fastest. This way i coukd farm t17 and influenced map easier. And selling maps is better than trying to find divs, cause at least i could get 1 influenced in 2 maps, and tons of t16 maps to sustain this strat

  • Already did around 100 jungle valley (apothycary scry) 3 ambush, 1 reopen, 1 rare varities. Fully juiced atlas, eater alters, and maps(not 8 mod but around 100% quant) Results: 0 valuable div cards 0 valueble uniques 6 or 8 raw div 3 valdo box 7-8 t17 maps It was the most depressing farming strat I had this league. My valueable boxes refuse to reopen second time and the trash ones open 3-4 times. Maybe I am stuck in a really bad rng for strongboxes. I ran over 400 maps and 0 divine atlars. Ritual and rogue at least treated me decently. Its like GGG predetermined what i shouldn’t be farming this league.

  • Why not take the other node in the map wheel instead? Then you can unallocate 3 ambush notables and put those points elsewhere. Sure it will cost you 3 more chaos per map – but that’s nothing. I’d rather have the free atlas passives. Edit: Nevermind – this doesn’t work. It can allocate passives that you already have.
