This guide covers the available gems in Remix: Mists of Pandaria, including Meta Gems, Cogwheel Gems, Tinker Gems, and Prismatic Gems. Meta Gems are the most powerful gems players can obtain, offering relatively long cooldowns in exchange for a powerful ability that can be a major addition to a class toolkit. They come in the form of gems that can be socketed into specific item slots, giving players new abilities or boosts.
Meta Gems can be found in the Unraveling Sands and Extract Gem abilities on the Extra Abilities bar. Players can socket their armor with unique gems found on their UI Editor Mode. Meta Gems can be used to summon a storm or call down 5 bolts of lightning.
There is only one Meta Socket available on your helm, which allows players to easily change their meta, cogwheel, tinker, and prismatic gems through simple clicks on the gems. To get the most out of these gems, players should check their UI Editor Mode settings and ensure that they are in front of the extra icon bar or hidden.
In summary, this guide provides an overview of all the available gems in Remix: Mists of Pandaria, covering Meta Gems, Cogwheel Gems, Tinker Gems, and Prismatic Gems. Players can use these gems to enhance their character’s abilities and boosts, but they may encounter issues with their functionality or compatibility.

What is the best tinker gem in MoP remix?
Brilliance is a powerful gem in MoP Remix for every class, offering passive buffs and party-wide bonuses. It increases versatility by 5 and provides 2 of your party and raid members’ main resources every 3 seconds. This gem is particularly effective in group play, especially in MoP Remix Scenarios, Dungeons, and Raids. It stacks with other players’ Brilliance Gems, providing a never-ending pool of resources. The Slay gem, which can cause major bosses to die when reaching 10 HP, is another powerful addition to the MoP Remix gems.
Can you put a meta gem in a prismatic slot?
Meta sockets can only be used with Meta gems, but red gems can be placed in yellow sockets. IP addresses are temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. Common causes include the latest version of the Opera browser sending multiple invalid requests to servers for every page visited, using the Brave browser or Ghostery add-on, which send extra traffic to servers for every page visited, and using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary or permanent IP blocks. Unofficial phone apps using GameFAQs as a back-end may trigger anti-spambot measures, causing IP blocks indefinitely.
Users can also use scripts or add-ons that scan GameFAQs for box and screen images, running a “scraper” or “downloader” program, using poorly configured browser add-ons for blocking content, or overusing the search engine with large searches in a short amount of time. If users promise to stop using these tools, the connection will be unblocked temporarily, but they will re-block it if additional bad behavior is detected.
How to tell if meta gem is active?
Meta gem requirements are set by the wearer’s equipment, requiring a certain number of other gems to be present. If these requirements are met, the meta gem provides a bonus, otherwise, it remains inactive. Gems that match multiple required colors, such as purple or prismatic, can satisfy any requirements, making them active even with only one blue and purple gem in equipped items. A prismatic gem, like one Nightmare Tear, can activate all meta gem color requirements.
Can you trade prismatic gems in MoP remix?
In the context of the Remix, the Prismatic Gems assume a particular significance. Mists of Pandaria is not bound, thus enabling trade with friends or sending to alts. Prismatic gems are designed to fit into a prismatic socket, and the power they bestow is contingent upon the item that is socketed.
What is the best meta gem in remix?
Thundering Orb is a standout Meta gem for questing, paired with the Battle Horn, which allows you to pull large areas and AoE them with lightning. It also heals to full health. If you haven’t obtained Thundering Orb yet, Lifestorm or Oblivion Sphere are good alternatives. Trailblazer is a cogwheel gem that makes questing easier, gaining 30 movespeed inside buildings or caves. While Vanish may save you or allow quicker mounts, Trailblazer is generally considered more nicer.

Meta gems are a form of powerful ability that can be transferred to the ability panel during combat. Such abilities may be either defensive or aggressive in nature, and may be purchased from Lidamorrutu for 500 bronze.
How does meta gem work?
Meta gems are gems that match meta sockets and have specific requirements for their bonus to activate. For example, a Tireless Starflare Diamond requires a minimum of one gem of each color between all currently equipped items on the character. Gems that match multiple socket colors can fulfill meta gem requirements for each color they match. A meta gem does not have to match its socket to contribute to it; the player may choose to lose an item’s gem bonus to activate the meta gem’s bonus. Examples of meta gems include Cataclysm, Northrend, Outland, and See also.

I’m leveling three characters. If you already own a flying mount, get at least 70 bronze, fly to the capitol city for your faction in Vale Of Eternal Blossoms, and at the bank there is a bag vendor selling ‘Timerunner’s Satchels’ for 10 bronze each. They are BoP. I bought 7 of these 36 slot bags for my bank slots within 5 minutes of starting my characters. These are the same as the four bags you start with in your personal inventory.
oh men im totally loving the new pandaria remix event i feel OP directly out of the gate im now a hour in orso but it feel so cool and get a lot stuff right away gems, bronze, stats to your cloak, etc, etc and flying directly im going to enjoy this so so much like you would not believe and a super bonus for me i started my world of warcraft life in WOD and never really experienced pandaria from the beginning yeah im reall exited!!!🤩 🤩 😊 😊 😍 😍 🥰 🥰
Just for anyone not yet aware: the cloak is no longer account wide. The achievement bonus is what your alts share and that is a max of 100% xp bonus and some flat stats (150 stamina and 100 main stat) at rank 12 for collecting 4200 threads. Not 100% of what your main cloak has. Just 100% bonus xp. And thats a fix cap. Anything else your char has do do individually. If you want to have 300% on all your alts to level (aka what they advertised), well you gotta push them all through raids from 100-300 yourself. individually. disappointed? yes, we all are. make your voice heard or blizz wont do anything.
Ty for the heads up. LF all the goodies, I was on time off WoW during Pandaria so lvl it solo while others were in dreanor: no instance, no raids, no end game but all the rep. So looking forward to the vendors, heritage armor, then a couple of new alts. Hope to see other expansions added in future season 4: better way to lvl up as a group, having fun, farming collectibles.
Not reading through 381 comments to see if already stated but some bronze “spheres” are not in the air, they are underwater – there were around a dozen close together in central south Dread Wastes – the Briny Murk – south west of Soggy Gamble. Slower than flying but not terrible with an underwater mount but no one seems to collect them so always there. As for approach I have made an alt of every class as either opposite to normal faction and/or heritage race – play to 20 (and just flying around gets discovery XP and collecting Treasures – Kilani’s rested state advice really helps with that – monks daily even more so*) – then Landfall campaign (for Class armour ensemble and saving 4k bronze) – then again level via questing and exploring for treasures and whilst doing so “collect” the various Lorewalker Cho points of interest and mass turn in the mailed quests at 35 – lots of XP and Exalted with Lorewalkers – then when 50 do Island of Thunder for the class weapons and save a further 3k bronze. With 13 chars/classes that saved 52k on armour and 39k on weapons and have 13 chars at 70 – that is two ultra rare mounts and 14k bronze in change (and 13 lvl 70s is another 520k bronze anyway). As for toys – park alts in the non-remix Pandaria and farm every 30 minutes or so – I was missing about 10 and have them all bar Ik-Iks beach ball now (Timeless Isle aside) – thus saving another 40k or so bronze – the drop rate must have gone up because they are dropping alot now. Look, I’m 50, have a full time profession, a very wow-tolerant partner of 26 years, an 8 year old (who steals my chars so she can have all these bl00dy alts), a Warhammer/AoS/HH plastic addiction, actually exercise etc.
This actually seems cool i just started playing wow again and my account was hacked sadly so all charters had the basic armour on but all itema in bank and bags gone happend three years ago even with the added security abd me letting wow know i was hacked then apparently nothing happened so i am starting on a new realm from scratch so this is very nice.
If you just want to min-max your leveling speed for alts – this event won’t even come close to what you can achieve with regular Chromie Time leveling. With heirlooms (for the DPS, not the set bonuses), the right questing route, XP buffs, TBC dungeon quests, and WoD bonus objectives, you can level a character 1-70 in less than 10 hours /played. This event is about doing something fresh and interesting. Do it to have fun, and enjoy your time rather than bullrushing through it.
For some reason I thought you could level existing alts by moving them over, definitely not an option. The scaling gets bad as you gain levels as well, in the mid-upper 30s mobs are slower to kill than they would be in a standard leveling run in retail, despite having all slots filled with the best items and tinkers. The whole event feels really disappointing.
So once you get your first character in and you start getting that cloak more power, does that increases the speed at which you level or does it just increases overall character power? Also, as you level the cloak on the first character does the cloak on the rest of your characters that you start later continue to level? Or from the point you create the other characters are they on their own getting their cloaks power up?
When can I start raiding and how prepped do I need to be? I’m nervous about the concept and new to the game, but I assumed you don’t start raiding until 70, and when you do, you know all of the mechanics before hand. Can i just hop into a raid blind at 30, or do I need to be 70 and know the raid before i lfr?
do we have any information about the duration of the event? im going on vacation shortly after the event starts and i would hate to miss out on it. i guess falling behind doesn’t matter much with these buffs, but if i get back from vacation and dont have enough time to complete what i want, i would be kinda sad
Have they mentioned anything about what happens to the gear we get during this event because I can assume that we won’t keep the cloak or at least it won’t stay the same when it goes to retail for obvious reasons however if the gear that we get we get to keep on our character I would like to make a Druid with ridiculous amounts of speed gear clearinglegacy
This event is a really big deal, blizzard is basically showing us that they infact are able and more than willing to make old content, even old raids, syncable and relevant. For the longest time my biggest wish for retail wow was that all dungeons/raids throughout all the expansions are relevant and syncable again. Its ridiculous that there’s 20 years worth of abandoned instanced content out there. Its practically a goldmine of re-usable content. All they have to do is make them syncable and perhaps add in a universal currency that connects them all together so that we have a reason to run them.
So basically they’re just doing Season of Discovery again, which is essentially what the Ascension private server did years ago and has since improved upon. Great to see you’re working with current ideas, Blizz. Edit: Oh, it’s worse. They have LFR raids available at incremental levels before max. God that’s a fucking horrible idea.
The only thing we actually know about launch is that the questing will be very, very difficult just as it was for MoP launch. Blizz did say that they are changing raids from weekly to daily lockout, but did not say if that applies to LFR during leveling. As for fast leveling – there’s a series of articles out there from a WoW speed runner showing his run from 10-70 taking over 14 hours, so don’t get your hopes up for speedy leveling until maybe your third character. I think this could be great, but Blizz’s silence makes me worry that they have made a bunch of changes since PTR that are going to be very unpopular. They tend to let us know about player positive changes, and remain mute when they make negative changes – fingers crossed.
I have 25 Characters, one of each DPS type. The only one missing is Augmentation Evoker, but I can’t create one because I have a Devastation Evoker. So there is really nothing for me in this event. Looks like fun. I think the only way to keep my Guild perks I’d have to transfer the Devastation Evoker (costs money) to another server and then I could create a Augmentation Evoker on my current server for the event and build up my Guild Reputation for it. And then transfer the Devastation Evoker back (cost more money) when we can more than one Evoker on a server. Why would I do that and waste money? Well at least I have the level 70 boost from buying the War Within expansion.
So, another event that has nothing to do with in-game play? Another Hard Pass here. I don’t need a new toon nor do I want one. I see nothing that my main or 2nd can do with this.. again. So honestly it’s not even a Wow event, it’s just some offshoot crap to get you distracted. Would have loved a new mega dgn…
Going to have to make a useless character which i will delete after just because i already have all characters and want the mounts and blizz is not willing to implement this token system in the main game… Awesome event just like the stupid pirate event that now made me miss mounts for my colletion which i will need to get in the future somehow because i don’t pvp period… blizz just wont get it.
My main concern is that I main on warrior on retail and would like to level a hunter for this, but im afraid I wont be able to buy/use the sets for transmog on my warrior. Example the Tusks of Mannaroth I really want to unlock the shoulders but I dont even know if i would be able to get purchase them from the vendor and use them if im a hunter
I made a new character and i got to level 12 and then asked myself what the hell am i doing? Already played this expansion,i leveled dozens of characters and to be honest apart from all the bells and whistles its still old content,so yeah deleted my character and i ain’t subbing back, this is bs….Blizz living in the past.
