The Scottish Rite, a 32-degree system of Freemasonry, originated in the 18th century and was formalized in the United States by Colonel John Mitchell and Reverend Dr. Frederick Dalcho in May 1801. The first reference to the Rite appears in old French records where the word “Ecossais”, meaning Scottish, is found. Antecedents of Scottish Rite existed in Albany, New York as early as 1767. As the Rite’s growth continued across the country, a Supreme Council was established in Charleston, South Carolina in 1801 to formalize its existence.
There are several theories as to the origin of the Scottish Rite, but historical research supports the theory that it started in Paris, France, around 1758. The Valley of Chicago was chartered on May 14, 1857, following the period ideals that the “high” masonic degrees came from France. In the mid 1700s, Étienne Morin founded a “Ecossais” Lodge (Scots Master Lodge) in France whose purpose was the “high” masonic degrees. In 1761, a patent was granted for the “Ecossais” Lodge, which was based on the “high” masonic degrees.
The Scottish Rite originated in France, with evidence of “Scotch Masons’ Lodges” dating back to 1733 in England. There are about 1.7 million Masons in the United States, with about 550,000 of those being Scottish Rite Masons. The use of the word “Scottish” has led many Masons to believe that the Rite originated in Scotland.
📹 The History of the Scottish Rite
From our early days at the Grand Lodge of England to present day in Lexington, MA, the history of Scottish Rite is long and rich.
What is the purpose of the Scottish Rite Masons?
32° Scottish Rite Masonry is a degree that builds upon the fundamental principles of Freemasonry, focusing on the ethical and philosophical teachings of the blue lodge. It seeks to enrich the philosophy of the Symbolic Lodge to help good men become even better. The 32° Freemasonry aims to aid mankind’s search for identity and destiny in God’s universe, produce wiser and happier men, promote the dignity of every person and humanity, and emphasize reverence for God, devotion to country, integrity, justice, tolerance, and service. The 32° Freemasonry continues the first three degrees of Freemasonry, from 4° to 32°, and a Scottish Rite Freemason may attain the 33°, an honor bestowed for outstanding service to the Brotherhood.
What is Scottish Rite symbol?
The Double-Headed Eagle of Lagash is a symbol widely recognized in Scottish Rite Masonry, one of the oldest Royal Crests in existence. It has been in use for at least a thousand years before the Hebrew Exodus from Egypt and more than 2, 000 years before King Solomon’s Temple. In the early days of modern Freemasonry, the Double-Headed Eagle was first used around 1758 by a Masonic body in Paris, known as “The Emperors of the East and West”, which controlled advanced degrees that became precursors to the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. The symbol features a white-ribboned motto, “SPES MEA IN DEO EST”, which translates to “My Hope Is In God”.
What does the G stand for in the Masons?
Freemasons use visual symbols from stonemasonry tools to communicate, including the “All-Seeing Eye” or Eye of Providence, which represents the omniscience of God. The Square and Compasses, a well-known symbol, depicts a builder’s square joined by a compass, with the “G” at its center being debated. Some experts at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology believe the “G” represents geometry, a critical field to the first Freemasons, while others believe it represents God.
The Square and Compasses remains a popular symbol on Masonic rings. Another lesser-known Masonic symbol is the beehive, symbolizing the industriousness of the lodge. Freemasons greet each other with a variety of handshakes, based on their rank within the organization. Each rite has its own handshake, and they are used during Masonic ceremonies.
What is the highest honor of India?
Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in India, was established in 1954 and is awarded to individuals without distinction of race, occupation, position, gender, or religion. It recognizes exceptional service or performance of the highest order in any field of human endeavor. The recipient receives a Sanad certificate signed by the President and a medallion upon conferment. Padma Awards, also established in 1954, are announced annually on Republic Day and are given in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. Padma Vibhushan is awarded for “exceptional and distinguished service” and is the second-highest civilian award in India.
What is the highest degree in the Masons?
Freemasonry is a religious organization that originated from the Masonic Lodge, which is responsible for initiating a Freemason. These lodges are controlled by a Grand Lodge, which has national or regional authority for all lodges within its territory. The masonic lodge confers the three masonic degrees: Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason. There is no higher degree in Freemasonry than Master Mason, but additional degrees are offered to Master Masons, supervised by their own Grand bodies.
The United Grand Lodge of England, the world’s oldest Grand Lodge, defines “pure, ancient Freemasonry” as consisting of the three degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason, including the supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch. This degree is of great antiquity and has a special importance in many masonic systems, including those of the Grand Lodges of England, Scotland, and Ireland, which consider it the completion of the mainstream masonic structure.
Who started Scottish Rite?
The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, founded by Comte de Grasse-Tilly in 1804, is the most widely practiced rite within the broader context of Freemasonry. It oversees all degrees from the 1st to 33rd degrees in some parts of the world, while in other areas, a Supreme Council oversees the 4th to 33rd degrees. The Scottish Rite, also known as the Rose Croix in England and Australia, is a full Rite of Freemasonry and not an appendant body.
Master Masons from other rites may join the Scottish Rite’s upper degrees starting from the 4th degree due to its popularity. The Rite builds upon the ethical teachings and philosophy offered in the Craft (or Blue) Lodge through dramatic presentations of its individual degrees. The term “Blue Lodge” refers to the first three degrees of Masonry, regardless of the Rite being practiced. In the Scottish Rite system, the first three degrees are considered Blue Lodge degrees rather than “Red Lodge”.
What is the royal secret in the Scottish Rite?
The 32nd degree of Freemasonry espouses the belief that humans are endowed with the Royal Secret, which is described as the eternal gift of God, namely love. This secret is not transferable and was bestowed upon humanity at the moment of creation, when the Father instilled life into man and thus made him a living soul. The cherishing of this love is a divine attribute and serves as evidence that all humans are the children of God.
Who was a famous Scottish Rite Mason?
The U. S. military is a symbol of public service, with Freemasons striving to serve their community and nation, particularly in the Scottish Rite, where Devotion to Country is one of their six Core Values. The Masons, including Brother Winston Churchill, Douglas MacArthur, James “Jimmy” Doolittle, Leonard “Bud” Lomell, and Brother Sammy Lee Davis, 33°, exemplified courage, integrity, and a deep commitment to brotherhood and moral uprightness. Their Masonic virtues influenced their leadership and their contributions continue to inspire generations.
Brother Sammy Lee Davis, 33°, is known for his courageous acts during the Vietnam War, where he crossed a river to rescue three wounded American soldiers. He was awarded a Medal of Honor from President Lyndon B. Johnson for his heroism.
Who is the father of all Masonic people?
Desaguliers, often referred to as the “father” of modern freemasonry, played a significant role in the formation of the “Gothic Constitutions” and the formation of the United Grand Lodge. He insisted on remembering ritual rather than writing it down, leading to a lack of material on the development of English ritual until after the formation of the United Grand Lodge.
The new Grand Lodge embarked on an era of self-publicity, leading to the sudden expansion of speculative masonry and a rise in anti-masonic groups and publications. Initiations began to be reported in newspapers, and the Duke of Wharton joined an anti-masonic group called the Gormagons shortly after leaving office. The installation of the new Grand Master was the occasion for a parade, which became the subject of ridicule until mock processions by anti-masonic groups began in 1740, leading to the discontinuation of the practice in 1747.
The Constitutions of the Free-Masons, “For the Use of the Lodges” in London and Westminster, was published in 1723, edited by presbyterian clergyman James Anderson and approved by a Grand Lodge committee under Desaguliers’ control. The work was reprinted in Philadelphia in 1734 by Benjamin Franklin, who was elected Grand Master of Masons in Pennsylvania that year.
What is the highest honor in the Scottish Rite?
The Grand Cross of the Court of Honour represents the pinnacle of individual recognition within the Supreme Council. It is reserved for those who have demonstrated truly exceptional and extraordinary service as Thirty-third Degree Masons. Adorned with a white cap and blue band, this honour is bestowed upon individuals whose contributions have been of the utmost significance and merit.
Did Freemasonry start in Scotland?
Modern Freemasonry, as we know it today, originated in Scotland from associations of stonemasons in the Middle Ages. By the late 1500s, there were at least 13 established lodges across Scotland, from Edinburgh to Perth. However, it wasn’t until the 16th century that these medieval guilds gained an institutional structure, which many consider the birth of modern Freemasonry. The earliest meeting records, usually considered the best evidence of a lodge having any real organization, date back to January 1599, from Lodge Aitchison’s Haven in East Lothian, Scotland, which closed in 1852.
Just six months later, the lodge of Mary’s Chapel in Edinburgh started to keep minutes. As far as we can tell, there are no administrative records from England dating from this time. Robert Cooper, curator of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and author of Cracking the Freemason’s Code, believes that this is when things truly began, as lodges became a fixed feature of the country and became a national network.
📹 Origins of the Freemasons
Kevin K. Main takes us back to a time during the Middle Ages where organized lodges for operative masons served as trade …
My grandfather was a 32nd degree mason. He lived in the Dallas TX area. He was a long-time employee of John E. Mitchell Company in Dallas. He’s responsible for creating the prototype of the popular iced drink machine, called a “slushie” machine, as part of his work with John E. Mitchell Company. I always admired him for his exceptional character and kindness. Through his association with freemasonry he introduced my grandmother to the masons and she became a member of the Eastern Star.
My experience with freemason’s is through my grandparents .My grandfather & grandmother were both Navy veterans. My grandfather was a Shriner, we’d go to the circus every year and he’d drive a mini car with other men wearing the funny hats at the circus. We’d go to the lodge on weekends and eat, us kids would sing karaoke, Etc. My grandparents would take us to church every Sunday, but I’m not sure if they were religious they never talked about their beliefs. My grandparents would take us to Disney magic Kingdom every year, they loved us very much. So from a perspective of growing up around this, i still find it problematic to be involved in a secret society “brotherhood”. If my grandfather was still alive i would have many questions for him.
Here is an idea about Symbolism and Masonry….early masons could not read. Symbols imparted knowledge when coupled with the appropriate oration regarding their specific meaning/use. If you can’t read but can recognize images and can hear the stories associated with those images then it is a form of learning.
Bill Armstrong owned ‘Bill’s Burgers’, and he hired me to cook, which meant washing dishes, scrubbing floors, polishing windows, sweeping the lot, and cooking. He had a big ring, like a high school ring. He said he recieved the ring when he achieved the final degree of freemasonry. He recalled sobbing after the experience, like a revelation had occurred. He said it was the best thing he ever did. I remember him as a father figure, a great man.
It sounds like masonry is a journey of self improvement through study and fraternity. It also sounds like masonry continues through freedom, thought and optimism. Individuals seeking Freemasonry is how it becomes….. Leaving criticisms and strife of Masonry from the past in the past and focusing on the goals of Masonry would be the most constructive going forward. I would love to hear what Masons study and learn. I think it is beneficial for men to have this for the support of Men. 👍🏻 1 seek it yourself 2 a spiritual viewpoint 3 a goal of good character Thanks for sharing 👍🏻🕺🏻
AS i stand at the bulls eye, it dawns on me Only one thing can kill the monster A Giant no longer do I fight the OX it shall come to me the world should know the lost man has been found and when he spoke it was like thunder and in the distance a voice could be heard the fallen shall no longer be downtrodden They shall be lifted up
A lot of people don’t know that most of our presidents in the USA were Freemasons. And he probably already shared some of these facts, I’m not sure because I haven’t watched the whole thing but. I would like to share with you some things most of you probably don’t know, I’m not sure if I’ll get in trouble for this, but this was close family. My mom’s stepdad was a Freemason, he never talked about it… except once, when my mom asked about the ring he had. It was a 18k gold square onyx ring with a symbol and a G inside of it (just like the one in thumbnail), she asked what it was for, he told her one thing… “If I get pulled over by a cop, I can get out of a ticket by showing him this ring and doing a special handshake.” She thought it wasn’t fair to everyone else. She found out more about Freemasons from her best friend, who’s father was one (or one training to be), he had a special old book that talked about how to be a Freemason, their ranks, their beliefs. They most likely have 3 ranks (you’ll notice how much the number 3 comes up.) With each rank they reveal more secrets. They say they aren’t a religion, when in reality, they are… in a way. But who they worship isn’t what you’d expect… they worship John the Baptist. They think the savior was John the Baptist. The reason why? They think if John had the power and purity to baptize, he was of Godly decent, that he was able to cleanse someone of their wrong doings, or being born new again. But like what Jews believe, they think Jesus was a good man, a prophet of God, but not the true savior.
I, strongly, suggest anyone who wishes to learn the history to read “BORN IN BLOOD” by John Robinson. Robinson was a scholar and writer historian. He, accidentally discovered the history while researching something different and wrote a book about it. Short story… it began, Friday 13th, 1314, 1307 when all French Templars were arrested. On March 19, 1314, the Grand Master was roasted, alive, and the “Skull and Bones” came into being. Read the book. It will take you up to the point where the Templars vanished and some history behind the Masons who evolved from that period.
By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.(A) 25 He chose to be mistreated(B) along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace(C) for the sake of Christ(D) as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.(E)
I like the Sir Francis Bacon Theory because as you say, “it fits.” Like so much more that we don’t seem to understand about the origins of many things when we study them, we find that they come from the very top of society almost without exception. The theory fits the timeline, and the power structure of both then and now, and establishes the connection between Scottish and European Freemasonry, aristocracy, royalty, esoterism, the Enlightenment, Protestantism, mysticism, science, and democracy. It also explains why no one has ever claimed authorship and therefore why the origins of contemporary Masonic ritual remain a mystery. What we call Freemasonry is just one of the largest organizations that claims to hold the wisdom of all ages, but is certainly not the only one. In many ways, it only repeats the teachings of virtually all religious texts going back to the very dawn of civilization itself, whenever that was? It borrows virtually everything directly from The Holy Bible, as this also borrows much from said wisdom of all ages. Where the controversy comes from is ‘Freemasonry’s’ indeed Gnosticism in general’s historical competition with especially the Roman Catholic Church and to a lesser extent all other established religions. As with so many things in life, it comes down to competition for influence, wealth, and power. Freemasonry may not consider itself to be a religion, but it was certainly seen as competition to the established order as the Enlightenment in general was.
My dear son was encouraged into the masons by his father-in-law. After about 4 years he decided to leave, as he became disenchanted with it. Looking back at the following years it became obvious to me that he was living under a curse for the rest of his life. His funeral will be on the 1st December, after committing suicide on the 7th November. I have studied through very thorough teaching by Derek Prince, and I recognised the obvious effects and oppression of the curses he was living under. Masons swear allegiance to Yabulon, which I believe is supposed to be an agreed combination of Yahweh, Mohamed and Buddha. They are playing with evil and mask it all over as being a good force. Anything that rules and manipulates, under the threat of a curse is evil, and this originates from Satan. I advise anyone considering joining in with this band of ‘brothers’ is playing a very dangerous game.
So, it was members of the Royal Society who first introduced esoteric occultism to the guild through the practice and study of alchemy. But really, the Tower of Babel being the origin of “speculative” freemasonry speaks volumes. See the first page of C.S. Lewis’ That Hideous Strength. Then read the whole book.
My maternal family name is Masson, which is a spelling variant for mason. The first recorded name of Mason (Maison, Masson, etc.) in England is from 1100 AD. Mason is a derivative of the French word meaning stone worker. They immigrated to England after the 1066 Norman conquering of the Anglo-Saxons. I have no idea if any of my distant ancestors were Freemasons but my Mother was part of the local Eastern Star and my Dad was a Freemason in the local chapter. Back in the ’60s it was just a small town social/service club and then disappeared when the Lions and Lioness groups became established in the ’70s. I remember a Christmas party at the lodge when I was a little kid and we kids were able to wander around the building. We found that they had a literal human skeleton in a closet at the lodge. What a hoot! Dad never mentioned what they did with that in their ceremonies.
Very good in-depth lecture. One could speaks for a hundred lifetimes on the topic, so for those of you who are upset you didn’t find out some “secret”, you will only find out more when you become a member. There is no devil worship, or new world order. If you want the truth, join a lodge. Slandering such an organization is both unbecoming and ignorant. Knowledge is power. Be blessed.
wow thankyou . like the slides . Freemasons created by King Hiram of Tyre Phoenicia-Lebanon,about 3000 thousand years ago,Inherited later by King Salomon, disappears and came back in Egypt during the Ottoman Empire, that’s why the Freemasons of Egypt Temple wearing still the Turkish red cone hate,Freemasons beginning is in the Near East on the Land of Phoenicia-Lebanon.
Ive no doubt that some of the good and ethical values passed down in my family- (both sides of the family for my son)- are due in no small part to the men within who were Masons. I also think their secrecy has done them no great favours, that they have been much maligned and misrepresented and that society is much poorer for the decline in membership. This I believe and yet possibly might appear on the face, to be in conflict with my feminist values. However, I believe you’ll find in both feminism and masonry, always a diversity of thought and action, and true virtue and ethics, which have been found lacking within all formal religious churches…. tbe Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists, Protestants, Jewish congregations all, have had numerous scandals involving sexual molestation.
Are you aware of Joseph Smith, Mormon prophet. He was a Mason (I don’t know the whole story), but what I know is that he took many things that Masons do, and he built a temple and stole all that they do inside their organization and put it in his temple, and called them sacred not secret, which it is. Now there are more than 100 temples around the world. But when they heard comments of many of their signs they removed them from their initiation, which includevenants, only the ones that looked kind of gross
Very interesting. My grandfather was a 33 degree Mason and my grandmother was secretary and organist for the Eastern Star in Nova Scotia. My father didn’t follow in his father’s footsteps although he had great respect for him. I grew up with no religious education as a result of our moving with the armed forces. Your talk is like seeing the tip of an iceberg. There’s so much more I’d like to learn about this history.
So I knew a guy who was a high ranking mason here in Cincinnati. I always thought highly of him and near the end of his natural we got to talking about his past. Well in the States he was positively a saint. But…before he emigrated here he worked for the Greek secret service after WW2, and his duties consisted almost entirely of, in his words, ” jailing and shooting communists.” And boy did he love his job. I believe him too. Think he became a mason before or after he exercised his profession with such glee?
Thank you for information about who are and what their mission in the service to humanity ….That’s how I understand, though again corrupt,by not competent people that enters this great association of intellectual and knowledgeable humans that want to create and build beautiful world . …when I was young while in the university as linguist and also Cristian I read, that the meaning of the word mason – the root of the content of the word and from where the builders came ….it goes very very back in the Mesopotamian history where there is a name from where the word came . It’s was a geographic place where the 2 rivers Eprat and Tigris is originating and from there we hear about shinarar, shinar the people living there are builders not only in building only as builders of society level builders and how to do the whole knowledge of the creating in any sphere, Shinarar means those can create build means also also the connection of a tree called chinar that tree is very high .and the word mason, until now it’s meaning is – something made by a human being that is very ( kataryal ) -perfect those cultural society of different kind, like it’s a one piece -(mason ) of gods creation .🙏🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
I have read a lot on history of Freemasonry. The material presented here is rather shallow and with lots of omissions. The picture of Solomon Temple is the wrong one. The temple was never on the large rectangular walled area since this was Fort Antonia, the Roman fort for the Roman army. The third degree was added in the 18th century based on obscure legend.
1:09:19 I actually happened across that Leo’s book, and there was this one whole chapter about an Enter Apprentice Mason’s oath. And it was nothing like I was coached and recited. I’d say more than 80% of it was incorrect. Along with certain terms such as “almighty”, “worthlessness” and “punishment” will NEVER be used in our context. Worse, I found out that Leo was extremely “creative” on inventing convoluted means of death, and was overwhelmingly emphasizing on his conjugated terms of “punishment”. It is unfair and unhealthy that his context was so partially released in a very biased nature. So that it was still used as a reference of Masonic oath in the Wikipedia. And a lot worse than that: I have found out many cults used theirs revised version of Leo’s work as their oath, in a very sinister manner. As a Freemason myself, i solemnly promise that, we don’t really control the world, or secretly form any deep states; because if the world is truly controlled by us Freemasons, then what a better world it already is!
The Order of The Eastern Star is an organization for both Master Masons and their Wives. Our General Grand Chapter has broadened the list4 of those who are able to join. If you can prove some relationship to a Master Mason living or dead, a women is able to join our beautiful order. If you have an active Eastern Star Chapter in your Temple, you have a great support system Both of your groups will grow.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes
Well, at only 3 minutes 11 seconds into it he says, “… I wanna emphasize, No one speaks officially on behalf of freemasonry as a whole.” Uh.. 🧐 Not off to a good start so far, guy. So, how can you believe in it?? Oh, no . I know One Who spoke Officially on behalf of The Father.. And All Authority in Heaven and on Earth Has Been Given To HIM. HE IS JESUS. Repent and Believe The GOOD NEWS!
I don’t know how I got the idea that free masons, started way back when people weren’t alowed to move about freely. But mason’s had a skill that was rare and in demand. So they were given the freedom to travel from city to city to offer their services. The term free masons. As more learned the trade, they being a special class of people, formed the secret society of the free masons. I wish I could remember where I heard that.
Jesus is the way the Truth and life, Repent for the kingdom of God is near Amen! For God so loved the world that he sent his only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life! All evil doers shall see the wrath of God in there life! Again Repent and Turn from your wicked deceitful ways for the Kingdom of God is near!
thankyou for this…i reckon im on the right track…all of the motives match my own….i even live in an old temple (hasnt been a lodge here for a hundred years, and all the beautiful interior is long gone, but theres a skylight still)..ill stop thinking some freemason will rock up with an invite now…ive been mistaken for one many times, met tylers and the sons and daughters of… i am a “window”for an eye…resonant frequency, particle wave theory and sacred geometry are the fingerprint of the Architect …etc….anyhow well said post.
This started out interesting but he lost me when he said you must believe in some sort of deity. They don’t care which one because that would be “divisive “. Then goes on to say no ” stupid atheists”. So in other words, it is a requirement to be gullible enough to fall for supernatural beliefs? Have I got that right?
masonry comes from times of ancient egypt thousands of years before the crusades. they got the knowledge off the temple walls you can literally see every posture gesture and symbol in a different form on the art depicted on the walls in ancient nile valley civilizations like the royal arch for instance comes from the ancient african goddess nut who was always depicted in a arch which was the birth place of our universe according to their beliefs. the masonic apron comes from egypt. amenhotep is the true father of free masonry. when it comes to the knowledge and stone building aka masonry
35:50 Thank you for taking time to give your side of the story, the presentation quality is excellent! i have read albert pike, manly hall etc.. masonry as a whole is a world view/ religion of man, as a “nicer”/”free-er” alternative to the truth of the bible. if you are a nominal christian, read your bible in a non-post modern/speculative way and reconsider the two opposing world view. God (Yeshua) will not be mocked. Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land ye dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Ecclesiastes 2:1 I said in mine heart, “Go now, I will test thee with mirth; therefore enjoy pleasure.” And behold, this also is vanity. 1 Corinthians 15:31 I declare by my rejoicing in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord: I die daily. 32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is there to me, if the dead rise not? “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!” john3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He that believeth in Him is not condemned; but He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
My great grandpa was a person who wore a bunch of necklaces. Thats what i remember fromy child hood. He was a high ranking member in mt vernon wa. My grandfather was a high ranking member in northbend. I was in demolay but still seeking a higher state of knowledge amd umderstanding here in my community of sanjuan islands friday harbor chapter. Aprreciatan of honer and intelligence is embedded in my genus. May we all be enlightened by our own trutths theu trust amd respect. Joshua carlisle. 2023
It is an organization of good men who can trust each other. Nothing sinister about it. I enjoy being around the many friends I have made when I joined the Masons. If you might be interested, go to a lodge and talk to them. These comments just show people will guess about things they know nothing about.
The origins actually go back to the ancient Kings of Egypt. The Templars true purpose is in the name. They had secret knowledge that there was something under Solomon’s Temple from the time of Herod. They spent years excavating to find many scrolls explaining the truth about the origins of Christianity, the secrets of the ancient Kings and …a head! Many of the Egyptian rituals are embedded in masonry today, especially the 3rd degree.
8:24 “and the second one in this is key – is you must be able to express some sort of belief in deity…That means you have to have a spiritual viewpoint.” For what reason? Why must a Freemason need to profess belief in a higher power? It’s one thing to say something like “As Freemasons we don’t care whether or not you have a spiritual viewpoint, we just don’t allow for people to discuss religion because we think it’s divisive.” It’s a completely different thing to say that you must have a spiritual viewpoint, that you must be able to express a belief in deity. What is even going on here? If that doesn’t give you pause then I don’t know what will.
Amos 7:7-8 Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand. The Lord said to me, “What do you see, Amos?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, “Behold I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will spare them no longer
We’re I live in the Midlands of England there’s a grave yard with quiet a few masonic graves from the 1700s in the reign of George the fourth there’s a big lodge to thats quite close some of the writing on the graves are pretty amusing I can’t think of one off the top of my head but yea a lot of symbolic stuff pretty neat really
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. 46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
What about The “Bohemian ? Grove” filmed Secretly by Alex Jones – where they have a pit of fire at the foot of a giant Stone Owl ? and wierd Orations. All the Davos crew show up. It’s hardly “Beer and Skittles”. I wonder what Freemasons make of it. This is a very rare one at the podium ? The Secrecy of it is really counter productive as far as Good works go. Someone has written a book on this theme I saw just today. or maybe just an Article headline I ran into. “Rule by Secrecy”. Seems that Google YouTube Facebook Twitter (as was) – or maybe its just the US government – “Acting Alone” are of the “Mason” and not the “Freemason” persuasion/character. JFK detested “secrecy”. Food for thought.
Not a mason. But my grandfather and great grandfather were. Cut it out with that “Adam was the first mason”. Freemasonry was founded in the 17th or 18th century by stone masons. As a guild of hard workers who hung out and made a fraternity. The square and compass come from the geometry of the stones that were being forged. Eventually, wealthy and men of power began joining the group. And ultimately, they collaboratively created what is now perceived as the modern day freemasonry. Now while freemasons were never Templar, they had a major influence on the masons. For the temple of Solomon was a very protected by the templar. And then the protection essentially turned into a different brand. The stone masons along with the wealthy.

Lol, funny! Main Bible scriptures: Matt. 22: 37 & John 4: 23, 24 ! Namely this: God is SPIRIT, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit & truth”. NOT WITH SYMBOLISMS, MAN-MADE OBJECTS AND WHAT NOT! Those are for throwing pitches, trying to convince and SELL SOMETHING. Actions, both yours and our Creators SPEAK LOUDER THEN ANYTHING ELSE (-:
Please take a moment to humour me here. Entertain this notion… As there seems to be a bit of confusion, “three can keep a secret if two of them are dead” is a Benjamin Franklin quote. It highlights the fact that you and you alone are the best person to keep your own secrets – which is why Status is built in a trustless manner. And then tell me your thoughts. From outside in, in a non descript manner? Please. Is this problematic? I don’t quite know like why you would want that. Is it. Good? Factually accurate? Untrue? That guy was talking sh*t? Thanks who ever gets back to me 🙏🧩 Do you agree that, in one way or another, “Three can keep a secret, if two are dead.” Is more applicable being part of something bigger than yourself? Excuse me I have so many questions but like . Yeah I am not sure I want to be part of this whole …. Still not fully convinced about it or to the idea. Haven’t sold it sorry not yet haha
